Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to determine the development of investment, employment opportunities, and Gross Domestic Product; and (2) to analyze the effect of investment and employment opportunities on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Office. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression.Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that (1) investment in Indonesia during the analysis period increased by an average of 20.46%, Indonesian employment opportunities during the period 2000-2017 increased by 1.77%, and Indonesia's GDP during the period 2000-2017 the average increased by 5.30%; and (2) simultaneously the variables of investment and employment have a significant effect on Indonesia's GDP, and partially investment and employment also have a significant effect on Indonesia's GDP. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) see the description of Indonesia's foreign debt, saving-investment gap, current account balance, and the budget deficit for the period 1990-2016. (2) analyze the effect of the saving-investment gap, current account balance, and budget deficit on Indonesia's foreign debt. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis with multiple regression model analysis using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this research are the average development of Indonesia's foreign debt is 6.21 percent, the Saving-Investment gap is 12.47 percent, the current account balance is 394.19 percent, and the budget deficit is 60.91 percent. Based on the analysis results, the Saving-Investment gap and budget deficit have a positive and significant effect on foreign debt. In contrast, the current account balance has a negative and insignificant effect on foreign debt, with a coefficient of determination of 85.52 percent. Abstract

The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) To determine and analyze the development of prices, GDP, exchange rates, and exports of Indonesian Coal. (2) To find out and analyze the effect of prices, GDP, and exchange rates on Indonesia's coal exports. Based on the study results, (1) The average coal export in Indonesia from 2002-2016 was 11.91 percent per year. The development of Indonesian Coal prices from 2002-2016 was 17.77 percent per year. The average growth of the exchange rate from 2002-2016 was 2.18 percent per year. The average development of Indonesia's GDP from 2002-2016 was 5.47 percent. (2) The regression results show that the price of coal and the exchange rate has significantly affect Indonesia's coal exports. This can be seen from the t-count > t-table. Meanwhile, GDP does not have a significant effect on Indonesia's coal exports.  Keywords: Price, GDP, Exchange rate, Coal export

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence and look at the Fed Rate, Inflation in Indonesia, and the NIKKEI 225 Index on the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI). The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia, Investing.com, library sources, journals, and other scientific articles. The analytical method used in this study is the multiple linear regression analysis method using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. Data is processed using software using monthly data with the research period from January 2016-December 2017 sourced from the internet, scientific journals, and books. The results of this study indicate that partially the FED Rate variable has a negative effect on the JCI, Inflation has a negative effect on the JCI, and the NIKKEI 225 Index has no effect on the NIKKEI 225 Index. Abstract

In this study aims to (1) know the development of economic growth and know the development of coal exports (2) find out the causality of coal exports with the economic growth of Jambi Province. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jambi Province. To answer these objectives, this study uses a type of quantitative descriptive research with an analysis model for the first and second problems using simple regression analysis and granger causality test. The results of the study show that (1) the average development of economic growth in Jambi Province in 2004-2018 was 6.15 percent; (2) the average development of coal exports is 149.64 percent, and (3) partially coal exports do not have a causal relationship to the economic growth of Jambi Province  Keywords: Economic growth, Coal exports

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze the development of industrial sector GRDP, UMP, and the number of companies in Jambi Province. And 2) To analyze what factors influence the absorption of labor in the industrial sector in Jambi Province by using panel data regression analysis tools. Based on the development of the GRDP of the industrial sector and the provincial minimum wage, it continues to increase every year, as well as the variable number of companies that fluctuates every year. Based on the results of the F test, it can be concluded that the GRDP of the industrial sector, the provincial minimum wage, and the number of companies jointly have a significant effect on employment in the industrial sector because the probability is less than 0.001. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that the variables that affect employment in the industrial sector are the GRDP of the industrial sector and the number of companies because the probability is less than 0.05.  Keywords: Absorption of labor in the industrial sector, GDP, Provincial minimum wages and number of companies.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to analyze the effect of the BI rate on inflation (2) to analyze the effect of the BI 7 day reverse repo rate on inflation (3) to analyze the different effects of the BI rate and the BI 7 day reverse repo rate on inflation. The method used in this study uses secondary data sourced from Bank Indonesia and the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Indonesian financial economy. The analysis of this study with vector autoregressive (VAR) using the Eviews 10 software program, results of the study analyzed that the difference in the influence of the central bank's interest rate policy on inflation in Indonesia, that the BI rate of interest on inflation had a positive and significant effect with a benchmark of 5% or 0.005%, the analysis on the BI 7 day reverse repo rate is not significant at the benchmark of 5% or 0.005% but has a positive effect in reducing inflation in Indonesia which reflects price stability as the final target of monetary policy. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of each variable and its effect on rice imports in Indonesia for the period 1998-2017. This research uses descriptive and quantitative analysis tools. The data used is time-series data or time series. To analyze this research, the "Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method was used. The results showed that the independent variables simultaneously had a significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia. Partially, the domestic rice price variable has a positive and significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia, the exchange rate variable has a negative and significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia and the GDP variable has a negative and significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan, Indonesian coffee production, world coffee prices, and the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar for the period 2000-2017, as well as to analyze the effect of Indonesian coffee production, world coffee prices and the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar on coffee exports. Indonesia to Japan for the period 2000-2017. This research uses descriptive and quantitative analytical methods. The descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the development of each research variable. The quantitative analysis method is used to analyze the influence of independent variables on variables. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the development of Indonesian coffee exports to Japan from 2000-2017 averaged -3.81%, the development of Indonesian coffee production in 2000-2017 averaged 0.99%, the development of world coffee prices 2000-2017 averaged 6.40% and the development of the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar for the period 2000-2017 2.54%. And during the 2000-2017 period, Indonesian coffee production and the exchange rate of the rupiah against the dollar had a significant effect on Indonesian coffee exports to Japan, while world coffee prices had no significant effect on Indonesian coffee exports to Japan. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) see the description of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves, exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account balance for the period 1998-2017. (2) analyze the effect of exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account balance on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis with multiple regression model analysis using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study show that the average development of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves is 11.87 percent, exports are 7.38 percent, foreign debt is 4.51 percent, the current account balance is 514.89 percent and the capital account balance is 66.92 percent. Based on the results of the analysis carried out by exports, foreign debt, current account balance, and capital account have a positive and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves with a coefficient of determination of 98.37 percent.
