Abstract

The purpose of this research is first, to know and analyze the development of the land area, labor, and GRDP of the plantation sub-sector in Jambi Province. Second, knowing and analyzing the contribution of the plantation sub-sector to the agricultural sector and the GRDP of Jambi Province. Third, to analyze the effect of land area and labor on the output of the plantation sub-sector in Jambi Province. The development of the land area, labor, GDP in the plantation sub-sector of Jambi Province for the period 2000-2015 continued to increase, with an average increase in land area of ​​2.52%, a workforce of 2.74%, GRDP of the plantation sub-sector by 7.84%. The contribution of the plantation sub-sector to the agricultural sector and the GRDP of Jambi Province for the period 2000-2015 also continued to increase. Based on the results of multiple linear regression calculations, simultaneously land area and labor have a significant effect on the output of the plantation sub-sector in Jambi Province. Partially, land area has a significant effect on the output of the plantation sub-sector in Jambi Province, while labor does not affect the output of the plantation sub-sector in Jambi Province. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the shifts that occur to the three leading sectors in the Regency of West Tanjung Jabung and to find out how much contribution from the three leading sectors to the economic growth during the period 2011-2015. The data collection method used in this research is secondary data analysis which is collecting data through the material of the library. From based on the result of data analysis, the result of the shift of the three leading sectors of the economy Tanjung Jabung District West during 2011-2015 using shift-share analysis changed at the national level (Ns) of 3,851,361.79, with a differential shift (D) value of -34,748.82 and proportional shift (P) value of -295,710.45, where the value of shifting the three leading sectors experienced development in the period 2011-2015 amounted to 3,520,902.92. The three leading sectors are classified into the analysis of Typology Klassen to determine the value of its contribution to the growth rate of the region, where the mining and quarrying sectors become the first quadrant, the manufacturing sector becomes the second quadrant, and then the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors become the third quadrant. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the agricultural sector in Muaro Jambi Regency, to analyze the level of competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Muaro Jambi Regency, and to analyze the influence of agricultural sector labor on economic growth in Muaro Jambi Regency during the 2001-2015 period. This study uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The results of the analysis show that the agricultural sector can provide a large role for the economy in Muaro Jambi Regency and become the base or leading sector during the 2001-2015 period with an average LQ value of 1.17. The shift-share analysis shows that the agricultural sector has a very high regional growth value, fast proportional growth, and regional share growth that is competitive compared to other sectors in other regions during the 2001-2015 period. Agricultural sector workers have a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Muaro Jambi Regency. Keywords: Agricultural sector, Base sector, Competitiveness, Labor, Economic growth

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) The effect of economic growth, HDI, and Provincial minimum wage (PMW) on poverty levels in Merangin Regency. 2) The effect of economic growth, HDI, and PMW on the depth of poverty in Merangin Regency. 3) The effect of economic growth, HDI, and PMW on the severity of poverty in Merangin Regency. The data used are secondary data during the period 2002-2017. Data analysis tool using multiple linear regression method. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that: 1) Simultaneously, economic growth, HDI, and PMW have a significant effect on the level, depth, and severity of poverty in Merangin Regency. 2) Partially economic growth has a significant effect on the level, depth, and severity of poverty in Merangin Regency, 3) HDI partially has a significant effect on the level, depth, and severity of poverty in Merangin Regency. 4) The PMW partially has a significant effect on the poverty level, but the PMW has no significant effect on the depth and severity of poverty in Merangin Regency. Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze and determine the development of per capita income, capital expenditure, and poverty levels on the island of Sumatra. 2) To analyze and determine the effect of per capita income and capital expenditure on poverty levels in Sumatra Island. The research analysis tool used panel data regression analysis tools. Based on the results of panel data regression, it can be concluded that per capita income and capital expenditure on the poverty level together have a significant effect. Whereas partially only the per capita income variable had a significant and negative effect on the poverty level, while capital expenditure had no significant and positive effect on the poverty level. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether economic growth, population, and local original income affect regional spending in the Main District in Jambi Province. The data used in this study are secondary data for 5 years, namely from 2012 to 2016. The variables used are regional expenditure, economic growth, population, and locally-generated revenue(PAD) in Parent Regencies in Jambi Province. The analytical tool used in this study is a simple linear regression and multiple linear regression using panel data. The results of data processing obtained the following results. First, economic growth does not significantly influence regional spending. Second, the population has a significant influence on regional spending. Third, the PAD has a significant effect on regional expenditure. Fourth, when viewed together it can be concluded that only PAD has a positive and significant effect, while economic growth and population do not affect regional spending in Parent Regencies in Jambi Province. Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To analyze the development of the open unemployment rate, economic growth, government spending, minimum wages, and the level of education of the provinces in Sumatra. 2) To find out and analyze what factors influence the income of street vendors on Jalan Basuki Rahmat to General H. Agus Salim by using panel data regression analysis tools. The development of the level of open unemployment, economic growth, and government spending in the provinces on the island of Sumatra during 2015-2017 fluctuated, however, the minimum wage and education level tended to increase. The regression results show that part, the variables of economic growth and the level of education have a significant effect on the level of open unemployment, while the variables of government spending and the minimum wage have no significant effect on the level of open unemployment in the provinces of Sumatra Island. Abstract

The research aims to 1). Knowing the socioeconomic characteristics of poor households 2). Knowing the effect of working hours, education, age, and land area on the income of poor households in Semau Village, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The research used descriptive analysis method and quantitative analysis with multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of the characteristics of poor households in Semau villages, dominated by the age of 15-64 years (61.01%), the work of farmers (53.22%), the average income is IDR 650,000 (41-9%), work 180-230 hours (61.29%), education level did not complete elementary school (43.5%), age> 50 years (53.2%), land area (64.5%). Simultaneously the outpouring of working hours, education, age, and land area have a significant effect, partially education and land area have a positive and significant effect, the number of working hours and age do not have a significant effect on the income of poor households in Semau Village, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the amount of effectiveness of entertainment tax revenue in Jambi City, to analyze the contribution of entertainment tax to local taxes in Jambi City. The data used is to look at the PAD, especially entertainment tax data which can be taken from the Jambi City Regional Income Tax Office (DISPENDA). Based on the results of the discussion on the effectiveness analysis of the entertainment tax in the city of Jambi, the period 20102-2016 shows that the development of entertainment tax in Jambi City continues. experiencing changes every year. In 2010 amounted to 6.14% from the previous year, the smallest development in 2011 was 6.14% and the largest in 2012 was 66.45%. This research implies that the development of entertainment tax in Jambi City in the 2010-2016 period has an average development of 25.065% of each year. This entertainment tax can be increased again by providing guidance and counseling activities by related parties to owners or managers of entertainment venues in Jambi City to be active in making tax payments and further improving services. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of labor force participation rate in Jambi province, minimum wages, poverty, and human development index in and to analyze the influence of minimum wage, poverty, and human development index on labor force participation rate in Jambi province from 2002 to 2017 using multiple linear regression tools and the analysis method used is a descriptive and quantitative analysis using secondary data. based on the results of the study showed the development of the provincial minimum wage has increased every year, while poverty, human development index, and labor force participation rate in Jambi province fluctuated from 2002 -2017. and based on the test results simultaneously the minimum wage province, human development index poverty has a significant effect on the level of labor participation in Jambi province, while the partial test results are known that the minimum wage variable of the human development index has a negative and significant effect on the labor force participation rate in Jambi province.
