Abstract

ABSTRAKSeminar dengan tema membangun Indonesia dalam konteks kemajemukan agama-agama, diseselenggarakan tanggal 28 Juni 2014 oleh Gereja Protestan di Indonesia bagian Barat (GPIB) di Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa Palangka Raya sebagai kota yang memiliki ciri khas  kehidupan  beragama dan budaya yang diwarnai oleh suasana kemajemukan agama maupun budaya, perlu menampilkan kemajemukan sebagai ikon untuk menggambarkan betapa suasana  kehidupan yang  plural  tetap terjaga dan terperlihara dengan baik  dan  penuh kearifan, di tengah globalisasi yang melanda  kehidupan  masyarakat. Seminar  regional  membangun Indonesia dalam konteks kemajemukan agama-agama, diikuti oleh,  elit-elit agama se Kalimantan, menampilkan 4 orang tokoh lintas agama sebagai  pembicara masing-masing: (1) Prof. Dr. Mujiburrahman, MA, (Tokoh Agama Islam), Dosen UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. (2) Prof. Pdt. John Titaley, Th.D. (Tokoh Agama Kristen Protestan), Dosen Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga. (3) Mgr. DR. A.M. Sutrisnaatmaja MSF (Tokoh Agama Kristen Katolik), Uskup Palangka Raya.  (4). Prof. Dr. Nyoman Sudiyana, M.Sc, (Tokoh Agama Hindu) Dosen Universitas Palangka Raya. Kegiatan seminar sengaja di tampilkan sebagai contoh untuk memberikan gambaran secara umum substansi  pesan  yang disampaikan dalam membangun Indonesia dalam konteks kemajemukan, berdasarkan pendekatan masing-masing Agama, sehingga semua bermuara pada pentingnya kemajemukan dipelihara, dan ditumbuhkembangkan sebagai suatu kekuatan integratif  yang dapat mempersatukan bangsa dan umat beragama di Indonesia sebagai sebuah kekuatan yang mampu mempersatukan semua potensi yang ada adalah religiusitas.Kata Kunci: isi pesan seminar regional kalimantan; membangun indonesia dalam konteks kemajemukan agama-agama  ABSTRACTThe seminar with the theme of developing Indonesia in the context of the diversity of religions, was held on June 28, 2014 by the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB) in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. This shows that Palangka Raya as a city that has the characteristics of religious and cultural life that is colored by an atmosphere of religious and cultural diversity, needs to display diversity as an icon to illustrate how a pluralistic atmosphere of life is maintained and well preserved and full of wisdom, in the midst of globalization that hit people's lives. Regional seminars to build Indonesia in the context of the diversity of religions, followed by religious elites from Kalimantan, presented 4 interfaith leaders as speakers: (1) Prof. Dr. Mujiburrahman, MA, (Islamic Religious Figure), Lecturer at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. (2) Prof. Ps. John Titaley, Th.D. (Protestant Christian Figure), Satya Wacana Christian University Lecturer, Salatiga. (3) Mgr. DR. A.M. Sutrisnaatmaja MSF (Catholic Christian Figure), Bishop of Palangka Raya. (4). Prof. Dr. Nyoman Sudiyana, M.Sc, (Hindu Religious Figure) Lecturer at Palangka Raya University. The seminar was deliberately presented as an example to provide a general picture of the substance of the message delivered in developing Indonesia in the context of diversity, based on the approach of each religion, so that all boils down to the importance of pluralism maintained, and developed as an integrative force that can unite the nation and the people religion in Indonesia as a power that is able to unite all the potential that exists is religiosity.Keywords: contents of the Kalimantan regional seminar message; developing Indonesia in the context of the diversity of religions

Abstract

التجريدكانت الحركة الكاريزماتية هي الحركة النصرانية الهائلة وسريعة النمو في اليوم. وأكّد هذه الحركة من جوانب الخبرة العاطفية في الحياة. من هذه الحالة الجذاب تقدر على اهتمامها وبحثها للدراسة. لهذا السبب، أراد الباحث أن يعرض المقالة عن نظر الديانة النصرانية للحركة النصرانية الكاريزمية فيما يتعلق بالتعريف والغرض والمعتقدات والتعاليم. واستخدم الباحث دراسة مكتبية والمنهج الوصفي التحليلي النقدي. وأخيرا استنتج الباجث أنّ الحركة الكاريزماتية هي الحركة الإصلاحية التي تؤكد عن قوة روح القدس وإظهار المواهب الروحية بإطاعة عمالها في النفس والجماعة. ومعتقداتها كالديانة النصرانية عموما ولكن بعض جماعتها أنّ الإله واحد بالتثليث وله أسماء و البحث عملية روح القدس أكثر. ومن تعاليمها، أنّ هذه الحركة تهتم على تعميد الروح وتقدر على اخضار المواهب الروحية  من روح القدس. وإحياء الخبرة الروحية في نفوس النصرانيين الواقعة عن القصة الرسول في العهد الجديد. ولكن النصرانيون يرفضون وجود التعميد مرتين يعني تعميد الولادة بيسوع وتعميد الروح بلغة الروح عندهم في كتابهم أنّ التعميد مرة واحدة في الحياة هو عند الولادة ولغة الروح ليس علامة التعميد ولكن المواهب الروحية بعد الإيمان. وطريقة نيل مواهب روح القدس لاتقسم إلى طبقات. وظهور هذه الحركة تأثر في الفكرة النصرانيين مثل الإجمالية الدينية والمادية.Gerakan Karismatik merupakan gerakan agama kristern yang paling populer dan berkembang pesat pada saat ini. Gerakan gereja ini memberikan penekanan lebih pada aspek pengalaman emosional dalam kehidupan. Fenomena tersebut sangat menarik untuk ditelaah. Untuk itu, dalam makalah sederhana ini akan dipaparkan tentang Pandangan Kristen terhadap Gerakan Kristen Karismatik yang berkaitan dengan pengertian dan tujuan, keyakinan dan ajaran. diantaranya; Tuhan, Kitab, Yesus, Gereja, Pembaptisan Roh dan Karya Roh Kudus. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis keperpustakaan dan metode diskriptif-analisis kritis dalam menjelaskan dan menganalisa sekaligus mengkritik gerakan Karismatik dalam Kristen. Dari penelitian sederhana ini ditemukan, bahwa Gerakan Kharismatik adalah gerakan yang menekankan adanya kepenuhan setiap individu dan jamaah. Ia memiliki keyakinan seperti agama kristen secara umum, namun ada juga yang menyebutnya memiliki banyak nama dan mencari kepenuhan Roh Kudus lebih banyak. Dalam ajarannya, gerakan ini mengajarkan pembaptisan roh dan dapat menghadirkan dalam diri karunia-karunia roh dari Roh Kudus. Akan tetapi, umat Kristiani menolak adanya pembaptisan dua kali; pembaptisan kelahiran dengan Yesus dan pembaptisan Roh Kudus dengan tanda berbahasa roh. Menurutnya, Dalam Alkitab pembaptisan hanya terjadi satu  kali dalam hidup di waktu kelahiran. Mengenai bahasa roh bukan sebagai tanda pembaptisan. Adapun, cara untuk mendapatkan karunia-karunia roh kudus tidak ada pembagian tingkatannya. Dengan munculnya Gerakan ini mempengaruhi sebagian pengikut kristen menjadi materialisme dan  inklusivisme

Abstract

Indonesia is a country which has various different tribes and beliefs in its society. Those various tribes, culture and beliefs are spread in all areas of Indonesia. This uniqueness can also be found in Salatiga, a city that is known as mini Indonesia, for its diversities. In 2015 up to 2017, Salatiga got a predicate as one of the most tolerance city in Indonesia based on “Setara Institute” report. The report and predicate are about freedom of religious life in society. This predicate was seen based on local citizen point of view. How if this predicate was portrayed from foreigner citizen’s point of view, considering that there are quite a lot of foreign citizens also in Salatiga.  Based on this phenomenon this research is aimed to find out how foreign citizen portrays the life of religious tolerance in Salatiga. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to analyse the data. This research is classified as a case study since it describes the portrayal of religion’s tolerance point of view in one region, in this case is Salatiga. For data collection this research uses semi-structured and in-depth interview method. The interview was conducted in Salatiga with eight foreign citizens as research subject. The result of this study shows that the foreign citizen said that there are respects between religions in Salatiga. However some foreign citizens feel the unfair advantages between major and minor religion. They could not differentiate whether “the unfair advantage” is merely a custom or it is indeed intolerant act. Although they stated that they can receive some of the acts as a local custom, but they need hard effort to state it as a tolerance between religions in Salatiga. Therefore it is an important thing to manage tolerance education of Indonesia for foreign speaker

Abstract

Abstrak Al-‘ulama’ Warasatat al-Anbiya (‘Ulama pewaris para Nabi), andagium ini memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap posisi dan status institusi ‘Ulama di masyarakat Muslim. Dalam lintasan sejarah masyarakat Islam beranggapan bahwa pemegang otoritas kebenaran Islam pasca Nabi Muhammad wafat adalah ‘Ulama. Bagi mereka ‘ulama adalah orang-orang pilihan bahkan dianggap “orang suci” kerena penguasaan ilmu agama, prilaku zuhud, dan bersambung nasabnya sampai Nabi Muhammad. Namun seiring waktu dan dinamika perubahan masyarakat di dunia Islam pemaknaan terhadap institusi ‘Ulama mengalami pergeseran dan perubahan. Perubahan pemaknaan ‘ulama dapat dipetakan pada batasan era klasik dan era kontemporer. Era klasik pemaknaan ulama di standartkan pada penguasaan keilmuan Islam klasik (Tafisr, Hadits, Kalam, Tasawuf, Ushul fiqih, dll) dan penguatan spiritual yang termanifestasikan pada prilaku zuhud dan ma’rifatulllah atau khasyatullah. Adapun pemaknaan ‘Ulama di era masa kini (kontemporer) memiliki pemaknaan yang berbeda dengan era klasik, dibawah ini akan dibahas pemetaan awal terhadap karakter dan tipologi ulama di era kontemporer, yang tentu masih diperlukan pendiskusian secara holistik dan komperhensif. Kata Kunci: Tipologi, ‘Ulama, Kontemporer, Khazanah Pemikiran Islam AbstractAl-‘ulama ’Warasatat al-Anbiya (‘ Ulama heirs of the Prophets), andagium had a major influence on the position and status of ‘Ulama institutions in Muslim societies. In the course of history the Islamic community considers that the holder of the authority of Islamic truth after the death of the Prophet Muhammad was ‘Ulama. For them, the ulema were chosen people and were even considered "holy men" because of their mastery of religious knowledge, the conduct of zuhud, and continued to the Prophet until the Prophet Muhammad. But over time and the dynamics of change in society in the Islamic world the meaning of the institution ‘Ulama experienced a shift and change. Changes in the meaning of ‘ulama can be mapped to the boundaries of the classical and contemporary eras. The classical era of ulama's interpretation is standardized in the mastery of classical Islamic scholarship (Tafisr, Hadith, Kalam, Sufism, Usul fiqh, etc.) and spiritual reinforcement manifested in the behavior of zuhud and ma'rifatulllah or khasyatullah. As for the meaning of ‘Ulama in the current era (contemporary) has a different meaning from the classical era, below will be discussed early mapping of the character and typology of scholars in the contemporary era, which of course still requires a holistic and comprehensive discussion.

Abstract

This study analyzes a collection of news from online mass media related to the violence experienced by Ahmadiyah in the last 10 years in the mass media. Stigma about Ahmadiyya which is subject to persecution and discrimination from irresponsible elements. Reporting in the mass media in addition to providing updated information, on the other hand also provides a social deterrent effect that prevents such incidents from happening again. There are two problems that will be raised in this research, (1) How does the media portray the persecution-discrimination experienced by Ahmadiyah in Indonesia? (2) To what extent has the news coverage in the media influenced the reduction of persecution and discrimination against Ahmadiyah? The collected data is then analyzed with one of the theories about the five functions of the media including surveillance, interpretation, linkage, transmission of values, and entertainment in order to see the extent of the conflict. that occurred and efforts to break the chain of violence in the Ahmadiyah case. This study concludes that the news in the mass media that is transmitted on social media does not have a significant impact in reducing cases of violence against the Ahmadiyya group. The mass media provide benefits in terms of publication and dissemination of information, but do not have a direct effect on conflict resolution. Conflict resolution in the Ahmadiyah case still requires encouragement from legal regulations and awareness of religious community members.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the symbolic meaning of O-Juzu in the Buddhist view of Nichiren. O-Juzu became one of the attributes for performing nichiren Buddhist rituals. In terms of its shape, O-Juzu is the same as the prayer beads used by other religious people. However, O-Juzu, whose distinctive bead with a total of 108 items, became the researcher's interest in analyzing philosophically from the perspective of Nichiren Buddha. This research uses descriptive qualitative approaches and library research methods. Data collection in this study uses documentation in the form of books, journals, and other scientific articles. Miles and Huberman data analysis models researchers use to perform data validity.The most basic ritual practice of Nichiren Buddhism is called gongyo. In doing gongyo, the Nichiren Buddhists read the books of Hoben (second chapter) and Juryo (sixteenth chapter) of the Lotus Sutra. Nichiren Buddhists need the most essential religious attributes consisting of butsudan (altar) and O-juzu (beaded beads). The use of O-juzu in gongyo practice by rotating it once, forming the number eight. The end of the number eight with three strands is placed above the middle finger of the right hand, and the end with two strands above the left middle finger. Short strands are located on the outside of the hand held together with the palms and fingers touching. In using O-Juzu done with Nam which has the meaning of making the inheritance of the highest law for each individual by combining it in practice of life with the six senses used for the fusion of practice with the pronunciation of "Myoho-Renge-Kyo" where all that we see as ordinary human beings is visible from the impurities of the Nine realms and in turn seen from the glory of being a Buddha in the world of ten.

Abstract

Kaharingan is a local religion embraced by the Dayak tribe on the island of Borneo. This belief is believed to have existed before major religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam appeared in the Nusantara. Structurally, in 1980 the Indonesian government included Kaharingan as part of Hinduism. In fact, there are many differences between teaching and worship. This was done so that the Dayak tribe could have easy access to the state's civil registration, considering that at that time President Suharto only recognized five official religions. This research uses a literature review method, including reviewing sources from books, news portals, and state legislation texts. The results of this study indicate that the Kaharingan religion has become a deep-rooted identity for the Dayak Tribe. Therefore, their entry into the Hindu religious group certainly creates many problems, both internally and externally. On the other hand, at the organizational level of the Hindu association itself, followers of the Kaharingan religion tend not to get a place. Important positions in Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) are dominated by Balinese Hindus. Moreover, now the state has officially recognized that local religious adherents are allowed to register their beliefs in state civil documents. As a result, in 2018, the Kaharingan Religious Council complained to Komnas HAM to fight for it to become an autonomous religion separate from Hinduism.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menelusuri teks Bilangan 14:24 yang berfokus terhadap masalah praksis dan teoritis yang tampak mengabaikan dan tak menghiraukan sosok Kaleb bin Yefune. Dalam ranah praksis, Kaleb seringkali ditimpa dengan tokoh yang sejajar dengannya meski berbeda secara sumber dan tradisi Yosua. Selain itu, dalam ranah teoritis, Kaleb seringkali hanya sekadar sosok kedua bahkan di antara Yosua dan Musa. Kaleb tampak tidak banyak diulas oleh para ahli Perjanjian Lama. Dengan metode grammatical analysis, penelitian berfokus untuk menemukan kekayaan iman atau jejak iman yang belum terjamah secara mendalam selama ini. Dari penelusuran yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa Kaleb merupakan figur yang sangat mengagumkan, ia memiliki a different spirit dan seorang pengikut Tuhan yang sangat setia pada saat banyak pengintai dan umat Israel memilih untuk memberontak kepada Tuhan.

Abstract

This study tries to examine in more detail the relation between pesantren and music. This is because many people think that Islamic boarding schools have absolutely no contact with music, just because they are taught religious sciences. For example, if there is, it will refer to Islamic music such as gambus, hadrah, or marawis. Even though it is only a small part of the pesantren's music. Even though they are already familiar with Islamic music, it is not uncommon for students to also understand and memorize rock, pop, or metal music. The data collection in this study used literature study, field observations, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that students can be in touch with music without being limited by genre. Moreover, their understanding of the religion they share does not prohibit music. Music is considered haram if it brings harm. The students can freely choose the type of music, such as rock, metal, Islamic, or even dangdut as long as it doesn't make them forget from practicing religious teachings. Therefore, the emergence of the band WALI, which was founded by santri with the genre of pop songs, is not forbidden, even now it is still coloring the world of Indonesian music. On the other hand, it is not uncommon for kyai who role models for the students are to play musical instruments and sing, such as Kyai Muhajir Khozin, Kyai Faizi, and Gus Muwafiq.
