Abstract

A rating system or reviews are generally used to assist in making decisions. Rating system widely used as a technique in the recommendation of one of them used by the customer, as in determining the resort to be used. However, the credibility of the rating looks vague because the rating could only represent some points of service. So that customer preference with each other is very different. Personalized recommendation systems offer more personalized advice, precisely knowing the preferences or tastes of the customers. Especially for customers who have a transaction history or reservation as at their resorts provide good information used by managers to design a recommendation model for their customers. In this study aims to create a model of resort recommendations based on a rating of frequency. This frequency is the number of resort use by the customer within the specified time frame. With the frequency can represent the preferences of customers. The RFM method is used to measure the reservation frequency value of the customer. The K-Means method is used to categorize customer data with its frequency and classify the type of resort. Recommendation resort to the customer based on the dominant use in one of the resort types. The recommended type of resort based on the similarity between the types of resorts used with other types of resorts.

Abstract

This study seeks to present an interactive tool, which exploits the GUI related abilities in MATLAB, to investigate power electronic rectifiers operation. The present paper aims to show a flexible and extendable environment for steady state simulation of ideal controlled, uncontrolled, single-phase and three-phase power electronic rectifiers. This is accomplished at the presence of R, L and E loads with or without a flywheel diode. The easy application of our tool makes it feasible to be used by the teacher in the classroom. Also its short running time and the PSpice output netlist make it a remarkable alternative to the MATLAB PowerSim toolbox and PSIM software for studying ac-dc converters. Furthermore, in this paper some basic equations were introduced to analyze single and three-phase rectifiers. Because these equations are common between ac-dc converters, analyzing the different types of rectifiers will be easy for the students. The penultimate issue refers that, the proposed program can cause a variety of single and three phase controlled rectifiers accompanied by various combinations of R, L and E loads to be simulated. Ultimately, obtained results are compared to another well-known simulator’s such as PSpice to verify their accuracy.

Abstract

Every person has different location of veins, some veins are easily detected because it is visible due to thin tissue, and the other are invisible. This different location of veins causes intravenous access procedures and the procreas of intravenous therapy become longer. Multi-distance vein projections aim to simplify the measurement process where the device and object do not have to be at a certain distance. Some research that has been done especially for real-time vein projection does not conduct how the characteristics of projection at different distances. In this paper, we propose a method for performing multi-distance real-time back-projection by using the intersection between camera and projector. This method equiped with an ultrasonic distance sensor to identify the projection characteristic in any distance. In its implementation, this method is able to project at a distance of 20-40 cm with a maximum projection error of 0.6 mm. The measurement angle tolerance between the object and the device is ±5 degrees with a maximum error of 0.7 mm.

Abstract

Nowadays, a large volume of news circulates around the Internet in one day, amounting to more than two thousand news. However, some of these news have the same topic and content, trapping readers among different sources of news that say similar things. This research proposes a new approach to provide a representative news automatically through the Automatic Incremental Clustering method. This method began with the Data Acquisition process, Keyword Extraction, and Metadata Aggregation to produce a news metadata matrix. The news metadata matrix consisted of types of word in the column and news section of each line. Furthermore, the news on the matrix were grouped by the Automatic Incremental Clustering method based on the number of word similarities that arised, calculated using the Euclidean Distance approach, and was done automatically and real-time. Each cluster (topic) determined one representing news as a Representative News based on the location of the news closest to the midpoint/centroid on the cluster. This study used 101 news as experimental data and produced 87 news clusters with 85.14% precision ratio.

Abstract

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a famous NP-hard problem in the area of combinatorial optimization. It is utilized to locate the shortest possible route that visits every city precisely once and comes back to the beginning point from a given set of cities and distance. This paper proposes an efficient and effective solution for solving such a query. A modified crossover method using Minimal Weight Variable, Order Selection Crossover operator, a modified mutation using local optimization and a modified selection method using KMST is proposed. The crossover operator (MWVOSX) chooses a particular order from multiple orders which have the minimum cost and takes the remaining from the other parent in backward and forward order. Then it creates two new offspring. Further, it selects the least weight new offspring from those two offspring. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is compared to the classical genetic algorithm. Comparisons show that our proposed algorithm provides much efficient results than the existing classical genetic algorithm.

Abstract

River water pollution is one of the environmental problems that occur in Surabaya. The amount of industrial waste and household waste makes Surabaya River water easily polluted every day, besides that there are also many people who are not aware about the quality of river water in Surabaya. In this paper, we present a new system to classify water quality of river in surabaya. The system involve a semantic visualization of risk-mapping for the river, so that the people of Surabaya are easier to get information about the quality of Surabaya River water. In this paper, we measured the water quality of Surabaya River using Horiba sensor measuring instruments using 5 parameters, namely temperature, PH, DO, Turbidity, TDS. These five parameters are input variables for calculating water quality with the methods applied in this research. We use the Storet Method to determine the quality of Surabaya River water. The results of the Storet Method explained that there were 0.03% of the data on lightly polluted water quality and there were 37.41% of the data being moderately polluted and there were 59.29% of the data heavily polluted. The results of the calculation using the Storet method concluded that the condition of Surabaya River water quality was not good. We also apply the rule of the Storet Method to the Neural Network by using Surabaya River water quality data as learning data and gave performance 70.02% accuracy.

Abstract

Research of position control of 1-DOF high-precision rotary table using adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) controller has been done. In the closed-loop system without a controller, the response was oscillating and pounding caused by inertial torque. It because a rotary table receives a considerable load. Based on this, the ANFIS controller is needed to eliminate oscillations and compensate for the inertia. The result shows that there was no oscillation or overshoot with the steady-state error value of 2.27% for the reference angle of 45°, valued at 0.10% reference angle of 180°, and valued at 0% reference angle of 360°. The result proves that ANFIS controllers can eliminate oscillations with and compensate for inertia.

Abstract

The development of technology and communication also affects the level of security needed for digital image transmission. It is known that digital images now have important meanings in both communication and video conference. In this paper, we propose a security method for medical encryption in the form of images. The proposed method is implemented in the modified Identity-Based Encryption scheme. The encryption algorithm used is Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) to generate key pairs and the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to generate symmetric keys and encrypt process. This method has been tested based on computation time, histogram analysis and statistical analysis. The results of the test were obtained that the proposed method was resistant to multiple attacks despite having slower computing time. The proposed compute time error percentage is 1.69% for key generator stages and 0.07% for total compute time at the encrypt-decrypt stage.

Abstract

Nowadays the use of technology is something that can be found anywhere. This condition has an impact on the loss of awareness of the Indonesian cultural treasures value in the form of traditional tools. No exception to traditional musical instruments on Bangka Island which began to lose its popularity. At present, most teenagers on Bangka Island cannot play traditional musical instruments. Likewise with the children who do not know and not even know their own regional musical instruments. With the continuation of this condition, it is feared that the existence of traditional Bangka musical instruments will disappear, as well as human resources that can play it. Augmented Reality (AR) is a visual technology that can display objects in 3D. The advantage of this technology is being able to give a display of real-time musical instrument in the form of dynamic 3D visualization of objects and it is in accordance with the movements of the user's smartphone camera. AR has also been applied in various cases as a solution to problem-solving. Therefore, to overcome this problem, an application to preserve the traditional Bangka musical instruments using Augmented Reality (AR) is forming. The 3D objects of musical instruments are made using Maya. Unity is also used as an engine for the application of 3D modeling on the Android system, and Vuforia SDK as it’s augmented reality engine. The results of performance testing obtained 100% running well. From the results of testing the user experience with the HARUS method, it is proven that the system has comprehensibility aspects of 75.98% and manipulability aspects of 80.74% so that the total value HARUS be 78.36%.

Abstract

Searching the accident site of a missing airplane is the primary step taken by the search and rescue team before rescuing the victims. However, due to the vast exploration area, lack of technology, no access road, and rough terrain make the search process nontrivial and thus causing much delay in handling the victims. Therefore, this paper aims to develop an automatic wrecked airplane detection system using visual information taken from aerial images such as from a camera. A new deep network is proposed to distinguish robustly the wrecked airplane that has high pose, scale, color variation, and high deformable object. The network leverages the last layers to capture more abstract and semantics information for robust wrecked airplane detection. The network is intertwined by adding more extra layers connected at the end of the layers. To reduce missing detection which is crucial for wrecked airplane detection, an image is then composed into five patches going feed-forwarded to the net in a convolutional manner. Experiments show very well that the proposed method successfully reaches AP=91.87%, and we believe it could bring many benefits for the search and rescue team for accelerating the searching of wrecked airplanes and thus reducing the number of victims.
