Jurnal Studi Agama dan Masyarakat (JSAM) is an academic journal, publishing two issues per year (June and December). JSAM is published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat of Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Palangka Raya, Indonesia. This journal seeks to provide a venue for sharing new empirical research and theoretical analysis of intersections between religion and societies. JSAM publishes original works that contribute to scientific discussion of the relationship between Islam and societies. The journal’s primary focus is on contemporary issues of Islam and culture, politics, economics, law, communication, and history within Indonesian contexts such as local wisdom, multiculturalism and pluralism. However, works on the issues of world religions and global societies are welcome.

Abstract

Management education financing are all activities related to the planning, the use (execution) and accountability of funding education in schools or educational institutions.In general, existing activities in management education funding includes (1) Budget planning (budgeting), which is coordinating the activities of all the resources available to achieve the desired goals systematically. (2) Implementation (implenmentation involves accounting), namely the use of funds based on plans that have been made. (3) evaluation or accountability (auditing), namely the assessment of the implementation of the program that was created for the achievement of objectives.General principles of financial management of education are as follows: frugal, focused, open, thorough and periodic or transparent, accountable, effective and efficient. As for the types of funding that by its nature can be classified into two, among others: are routine funding, funding that is not routine. Meanwhile in other references on the types of budgets in education funding can be classified that the budget item by item budget programs, budgetary zero-based.Accountability is the process of proving and determining that what is being implemented in accordance with what was planned, this includes accountability receipt of funds, deposit and disbursement of funds in accordance with the planning (proportional)

Abstract

The existence of Government Regulation number 11 of 2010 about the Control and the Utilization of Neglected Land is a reformation step of agrarian to implement the Constitution of 1945 in article 33: verses 3. The objects of the regulation include the land that has been given by the government such the proprietary rights (Hak Milik), building rights (Hak Guna Bangunan) and enterprise rights (Hak Guna Usaha), use (Hak Pakai) and management rights (Hak Pengelolaan) or land that is not used appropriately or utilized effectively. The phenomena related to waqf land are so apprehensive. The numbers of the waqf lands reaches 2, 7 M2 (data from BWI or Indonesian Waqf Board in 2009). However, related to the status of the waqf  lands which are permanent as in the article 40 of Waqaf Regulation, the neglected waqf  lands cannot be utilized as waqf  land as the objects of the control to be taken over by the government. To over the problem, ideally, the function of the waqf land should be productive in line with the article 44 of Waqf Law jonctu article 48 of Government Regulation nomor 42 of 2006 about the Implementation of Waqf Law and  it is of course,  all depend on nazhir (waqf land administrators).

Abstract

Critical Thinking Skills is an activity or a process of analyzing , explaining and developing or selecting ideas , includes categorizing , comparing and contracting ( contrasting ) , examine arguments and assumptions , completing and evaluating the conclusions of induction and deduction , set priorities and make choices. There are three terms related to thinking skills , which is actually quite different ; ie higher-level thinking (high level thinking) , think complex (complex thinking) , and critical thinking (critical thinking). Thinking skills is actually a skill that can be learned and taught , both at school and through independent study. Noteworthy in the teaching of thinking skills is that skills must be done through exercise that is appropriate to the stage of cognitive development of learners.

Abstract

Ketetapan mengenai hukum keluarga, khusunya yang berkaitan dengan talak dan cerai yang terdapat dalam kitab-kitab fikih pada umumnya bias gender. Hal ini dapat dipahami, karena fikih disajikan tidak mengenal perbandingan dengan kebudayan-kebudayaan lain. Fikih berkembang secara kasuistik tanpa rencana dan sistem dan tidak mempunyai teori mengenai hukum, politik atau ekonomi. Selain fikih kurang memberikan kebebasan kepada fuqaha, karena situasi politik  sepanjang sejarah Islam.Ada beberapa perbedaan dan persamaan antara Perundang-Undangan Hukum Perkawinan, khususnya mengenai talak dan cerai yang berlaku Mesir di Mesir dan di Indoensia, sebagaimana dijelaskan di atas. Namun demikian dalam pengamatan penulis sisi perbedaan keduanya lebih banyak dari pada persamaannya, baik tentang sebab-sebab perceraian maupun tentang prosesnya. Sebab-sebab yang disebutkan dalam perundang-Undangan Indonesia lebih lengkap dan melibatkan suami istri sebagai obyek pembahasannya. Hal ini berbeda dengan Perundang-undangan di Mesir kurang lengkap dan cenderung lebih banyak membahas hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan suami sebagai penyebab perceraian. Begitu juga dalam proses perceraian. Dalam perundang-undangan Indonesia, Pengadilan mempunyai peran yang cukup dominan dalam menentukan perceraian. Sedangkan di Mesir tidak demikian.

Abstract

Conflict is something that can not be avoided. Even during life , people always confronted and wrestled with the conflict . Likewise with organizational life . Organissai members are always faced with a conflict .. Along with the development of science and technology , there are many changes in social and cultural growth are not the same , so the appearance of disharmony , disintegration and disorganization of society , which contain a variety of open conflict . Such conditions can erode and eliminate human relationships more intimate where people tend to accentuate egoism . Social contacts become fragmented into factions that will ultimately facilitate the emergence of conflict . Conflict management is very influential for the organizations members . Leaders of the organization are required to master conflict management so that the conflicts that arise can have a positive impact on improving the quality of the organization

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the principals role in improving the competence of Islamic Education Teachers in SMA Negeri 3 Sampit. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, with information from the Principal, Vice Principal, Head of Administration, Islamic Religious Teacher, Student Council, and the School Committee. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The study found that in order to improve the competence of Islamic Education Teachers in SMA Negeri 3 Sampit, Principal maximize its role as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and motivator (EMASLIM), it resulted in increased competence paedagogik, personal competence, professional competence and social competence Islamic Education Teachers. While the efforts of Principal in improving the competence of Islamic Education Teachers include: (a) businesses in the school environment such as conducting in-house training (IHT), lifting the Islamic Education Teachers as Vice Principal, and involve Islamic Education Teachers in every activity school; and (b) venture beyond the school environment such as assigning Islamic Education Teachers participated in the training and upgrading as well as seminars, involving Islamic Education Teachers in the race outstanding teachers, and support the Islamic Education Teachers became Chairman of PAI MGMPs

Abstract

This article aims to expose character education values of Gibran’s statements in his monumental work, The Prophet. The content analysis is used to analyze messages which consist on 26 poetries. From the ten values of character education are dominated by values of faith and takwa,  the values are found in Poetries of Children, Crime and Punishment, Pain, and Religion. Therefore, teaching literature not only how to teach the structure of  words and sentences, but the most urgent is to teach wisdom values, in this case values of character education as alternative consideration among nation character decance. The Holy Quran build character by stressing inner aspects, both mind and heart.
