Abstract

The outbreak of the coronavirus has had an impact on people's lives. COVID-19 not only has an impact on health but also on the economy, education, social and security. A lot of COVID-19 hoax information circulating on social media can confuse the public (infodemic). Infodemic leads to excessive information related to COVID-19 that can interfere with finding solutions and not necessarily valid information content. This study aims to determine the relationship between exposure to COVID-19 infodemic and compliance with the application of health protocols in Udayana University Medical Faculty students. This research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross sectional study approach which obtained 236 respondents. Based on the results of the study, most of the women (70.34%), reside in Denpasar (33.90%), the PSSKPD study program (38.56%) and the 2019 batch (53.81%). In addition, respondents also access information well through social media (94.07%), have a positive attitude in receiving COVID-19 information (69.92%), have a positive perception of COVID-19 information (67.37%) so that respondents were not exposed to COVID-19 hoaxes (58.47%) and respondents were obedient in implementing health procedures (75%). In this study, gender characteristics had a relationship with health care adherence (p=0.002). Likewise, access to information (p=0.026) and perception of COVID-19 information (p=0.045) had a relationship with health care compliance. Therefore, it is expected to use FK's social media to provide positive information, especially regarding COVID-19 and urge students to follow all FK's social media. Abstract

Pregnancy is the process of continuing the existence of an organism, and preventing its extinction. During pregnancy, there is a fundamental human adaptation process that increases the body's resistance to the risk of external attack. Regardless of the role of the immune system in early pregnancy, an increase in the human immune system, which is the most important system for dealing with infections to protect the mother and the fetus, is one of the important adaptation responses to protect the mother as well as the fetus. Various physiological changes are interrelated, especially to ensure the growth of the baby in the uterus can take place properly. Anatomical, physiological and biochemical adaptations in pregnancy are profound. Many significant changes occur immediately after fertilization and continue throughout pregnancy and most occur in response to physiological stimulation by the baby and placenta. This article discusses the changes in immune system function involved in pregnancy. Keywords: immune system, pregnancy adaptation, pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses

Abstract

Children who don’t get nutritional intake according to their needs can cause malnutrition which affects their growth and development process. Children aged 0-2 years will generally be very dependent on their mothers, because in this age group they need breast milk and full attention. The purpose of this study was to find out about mother’s understanding of nutritional problems and their role in overcoming nutritional problems of children under two in the village of Ban, Sub-district of Kubu, District Karangasem, Bali Province. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The main informant of this research were 10 moms with children under two years old that selected by the sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The research was conducted in 10 hamlets in Ban village, Karangasem from July-October 2019. Data collected through in-depth interview and observation. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed the mother's understanding of nutritional problems was seen from the physical condition of the child, and the mother's understanding about the causes of nutritional problems were caused by a lack of food intake. Mother's role in overcoming nutritional problems are trying to meet the nutritional needs of children, paying attention to food safety and child hygiene, utilizing health services, and doing house cleaning activities. Obstacles that barrier mother's behavior in preventing undernutrition of children under two years old are: economy, distance, dry season, child refuse to breastfeed, busy, mother's health condition, living environment, belief and limited water. Suggestions that can be given are: Health workers routinely increase counseling related to the importance of fulfilling child nutrition and environmental sanitation; Mothers should buy a breast pump when they cannot breastfeed their children directly; Karangasem Health Office conducts tests on the quality of the water that is accessed to ensure water safety, and then conducts counseling activities to the community regarding proper and correct drinking water treatment processes. Abstract

Hygiene and sanitation behavior is defined as an action or effort to improve hygiene and health through early maintenance of each individual and the environmental factors that influence it, so that the individual is protected from the threat of disease-causing germs. Poor hygiene and sanitation behavior is caused by many factors. One of the approaches that influence changes in WASH behavior is the psychosocial approach of the RANAS Model. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychosocial factors associated with hygiene and sanitation behavior. Leading databases searched through Google Scholar from 2013-2023. From 174 articles, 10 articles were identified and included in the review. Several psychosocial factors influence hygiene and sanitation behavior in the school setting: perceived risk (vulnerability), attitude factor, norm factor, ability factor (self-efficacy), and self-regulation (remembering), in the household scope: risk perception, risk factor norms, ability factors, and self-regulation, in the community sphere: perceptions of risk and norms. In addition to psychosocial factors, several studies have found that gender, education level, knowledge, waste disposal, and bathing practices have an effect on hygiene and sanitation behavior. Of the five existing psychosocial factors, norms and self-efficacy factors are the most influential factors on hygiene and sanitation behavior. Therefore, in providing interventions or programs later on hygiene and sanitation behavior, interventions related to social norms and self-efficacy can be made. Abstract

The construction sector is a contributor to increase number of accidents and occupational illness. Unsafe behavior in the workplace is directly related to work accidents. One of the factors that can influence unsafe behavior is the worker's perception of the safety climate. This study aims to analyze the correlation between perceptions of safety climate and unsafe behavior of construction workers on the renovation project of PT X in Nusa Dua. Quantitative research was conducted using an analytical cross-sectional approach. Respondents in the study are 200 people who were selected by the block sampling method. This study found that the proportion of respondents behaved unsafely was 60.5%. Unsafe behavior was found to be significantly related to safety empowerment management (p=0.042), worker commitment (p=0.012), priority and risk tolerance (p=0.007), and communication and trust in implementation (p=0.040). In multivariate analysis, respondents who have good perceptions of communication and trust in implementation had a 2.63 times chance of reducing unsafe behavior compared to who had sufficient perceptions. As an effort to increase safety behavior, workers are expected to be more concerned with the risk of hazards in the workplace by complying with occupational safety health programs.
