Abstract

Abstract. The research aimed to find out the cause of reject and found theproposed improvements in order to reduce the number of reject broken and cleancinnamon product. By using the approach of DMAIC method to identify theproblem by using SIPOC diagram to explain the existing processes as well as datacollection through sources and related documents. Known to the average speed ofthe input material and finding foreign objects into the main cause of reject brokenand clean cinnamon product. Measurement of process capability using Minitab16.0 software for speed of the input material and foreign material separation. Rootcause of the problem is analyzed using a fishbone diagram. Found cause of rejectthat dirty material, material feeding is not appropriate, no maximum enginecapacity, setting of suction at Tarara machines and the absence of a standardreference in the suction. Repairs to the causes of the problem were analyzed using5W1H table. Results fixes known increase the average speed of the input materialin the automation line and reduce the number of foreign material finding whichdecrease the number of reject broken and clean cinnamon products. Someproposed improvements to reduce reject: supplier performance monitoring byvisiting the land, audits, and training, prohibit the use of plastic bags as packagingand the wood pallet as material storage, conduct supplier performance evaluation,make improvements to the production machine, the setting of the suction machineTarara, and set the standard suction reference.Keyword: DMAIC, Reject, SIPOC, Fishbone Diagram, Cinnamon

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to recognize the effectivity level of controller-pilotcommunication at Terminal West Sector in Jakarta Approach, Jakarta Air TrafficServices Centre, to know the influence of communication factors toward theeffectivity and the solusion to keep the effectivity level of communication basedon PDCA concept. The first analysis methode is right side analysis which statesthat each of the usage of standard phraseology and the performance ofcommunication facilities is less than the standard value. The second is singlecorrelation analysis which states that message structure has a strong and positivecorrelation to the effectivity as 0,61, the condition of communication facilities hasa medium and positive correlation to the effectivity as 0,48, and the number ofaircraft movement has a weak and positive correlation to effectivity as 0,29. Thethird is multiple correlation methode with three independent variables whichstates that the message structure, the condition of communication facilities and thenumber of aircraft movement togetherly have a positive correlation to effectivity.Factors must be fixed are the training programme for controllers and supervisor'sreporting culture by conducting procedures such as pre-work briefing, post-workevaluation, the completeness of reporting and regular refreshing training.Keywords: Effectivity, aeronautical communication, right side analysis,correlation analysis, PDCA

Abstract. The waste management in Bantargebang has been planned for 15 yearsand should be improved in order to meet the needs of the stakeholders. The studyis done to find the right method to be used for integrating the waste managementin Bantargebang site. The method is a review of previous studies related toimprovement in waste management and business processes. The result suggeststhat the mapping of the process needs to be done on the waste managementsystem and using the Model-Based Integrated Process Improvement (MIPI) whichdeveloped by Adesola et al. Abstract. Ability to manage a good distribution channel is a competitiveadvantage which is importance for industries. Bad distribution channel will havebad impact in whole aspects of organization, especially on its profit margin.Precise quantity and on time delivery are crucial aspects of distribution success.Distribution and transportation system have to be design optimally to result theminimum cost of distribution. Perum Bulog as government agency who runs thedistribution of rice has to pay attention on optimizing its distribution channel. Inoperating their task, Perum Bulog will be support by its sub division who will bemanages the distribution process of rice in its own region. This research is focusedto define the optimum combination of channel and quantity on distribution of ricefrom Sub Divre West Java to the cities and regencies in order to achieve theminimum distribution cost using transportation method, Linear Programmingmethod, and LINDO. Abstract. Costumer satisfaction is really important, because the customer willcome back to use the service. Customer satisfaction is also related to the quality ofservice received by the customer of a company products or services. The problemof service quality in a test lab PT MUTU is situated upon a description ofcustomer satisfaction regarding the analysis period of completion and certificatesdelivery time are still below standard PT MUTU against laboratory testingservices and there is a waste of time waiting for customers. Service qualityimprovement methods to the analysis period of completion and the delivery time acertificate is the DMAIC and lean approach, where the results of the improvementseen in the sigma level obtained. The tools used SIPOC, pareto diagram, CTQ,logic tree, two proportion test, DOE, p-chart, minitab-16. Abstract

Abstract. PT. Utama Raya Motor Industry is a company engaged in the field offurniture have a problem relating with the frequency of downtime continues toincrease every time due to the damage caused to machinery. Therefore, thenecessary steps to be able to cope with and prevent such problems. TotalProductive Maintenance (TPM) is one method that can be used to improve theproductivity and efficiency of machinery effectively. One application of TPM is ameasure the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), then proceed with the sixbig losses OEE measurement to determine the efficiency of the missing and thelargest contributing factors that lead to low effectiveness of the six factors six biglosses. The data used from January to December 2014 with the object of researchelectroplating machine. During the month the average value obtained averagevalue results are low. From these measurements indicate that the setup andadjustment losses has donated the biggest losses in the engine electroplating,followed idling and minor stoppages losses. So that the necessary repairs heatingsystem solution and electroplating machine filter system to reduce losses thatoccur due to setup and adjustment losses and losses idling and minor stoppages.Keywords: TPM, OEE, six big losses, Pareto diagram, cause-effect diagram.

Abstract. Innovation can be made from small thing in our routine. Seiri (sort),Seiton (set in order), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize), and Shitsuke (sustain)is 5 Japanese words which is a systematic technique that is closely related toefficiency. Kaizen has been widely recognized in the world as continuousimprovement through small steps which impact economically for the company.These systems help management to manage the workplace, improve disciplinary,decrease waste and increase productivity. Mory Industries Inc. is one of theJapanese-owned stainless steel manufacturing company that upholds qualitycontrol which contribute significantly to the implementation of Kaizen and 5S.This study explores innovation of Kaizen implementation which refers to 5S thatapplied on the production floor and also the office in a concrete way. Directobservation will be carried out as the basis of the methodology of this study.Without any record detail activity of 5S that should be done by the workers, buteach worker has already implemented as a habit in their daily work. Abstract

Abstract. Overall Equipment Efectiveness (OEE) is a calculation method used inTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maximize the effectiveness of machinesin industrial facilities. OEE value is determined by availability rate, performancerate and quality rate. Low OEE of the Hipack III and UNIMACH strippingmachine at PT Promedrahardjo Pharmaceutical industry identified the loweffectiveness of the machine. The aim of research is to improve the effectivenessof the machine by increasing its OEE value. The analytical method used is theanalysis of six big losses, fishbone diagrams, and pareto diagram. The results ofthe research show that the six big losses dominant factors in the machine aredowntime and speedlosses.
