Abstract

Fewer students cooperate at the time of learning. That is indicated by the condition of learning in the classroom. The response of students who aren’t entirely at the time given task. The participants are less active, application of cooperative Number Head Together mode and this type is expected to improved student cooperation. The research aims to improve cooperation between students and mathematics learning to use cooperative learning type Number Head together mode. This research is an action research class consisting of two cycles. The subject of the research is VII A grade student of 1st semester of the academic year 2016/2017 at SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta. The object of this research is the efforts to improve students collaboration in learning mathematics. Technic to collecting data is observation and interview. The instrument of the research is the collaboration students observation sheet. Teacher interview activity sheet, and student interview sheet. The category to succeed in the research is marked with increasing approximately the percentage of students teamwork minimal 61%. The result of the research is shown by cooperative learning mode we called if type Number Head Together mode. It can increase the student's teamwork in a mathematic lesson in VII A class. We can see from the result of the average percentage who shows that the increase in each cycle. The first cycle is 41,01%, enough to achieve this criteria and the second cycle is 65,05 % it achieves good criteria.

Abstract

Teacher-centered learning caused the students are not serious, enthusiastic, and confident in their own ability so that students are not so responsible in following the learning of Mathematics for the students of class VII B SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta. The use of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model in Mathematics learning is expected to improve student responsibility better than usual. This study aims to improve students responsibility in learning mathematics the students of class VII B SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta in the odd semester Academic Year 2016/2017 by using the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model. This research included in Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were the students of class VII B SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta in the odd semester, which amounted to 34 students consisting of 18 female students and 16 students of the male. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and triangulation. The instruments used in this data collection are observation sheets and interview guides. The data analysis used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. The criterion of success in this study is the responsibility of students in involving the learning process increases if the student’s responsibility reaches at least 61%. The result of the research shows that learning with the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model on VII B students of SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta in the academic year of  2016/2017 increase the student’s responsibility. It is proven by the result of student responsibility observation every cycle has increased, that is the percentage of success of student responsibility research in cycle I equal to 44,85 % (Enough), and in cycle II increase to 66,30% (Good).

Abstract

learning of mathematics. The use of less appropriate learning model makes students less familiar with the material described by teachers and lead to poor learning outcomes mathematics. This study was included in experimental research that aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model NHT type cooperative learning model TPS. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 8 classes. The sampling technique using random sampling techniques derived from class VII D as an experimental class I and VII E as experiment class II. The research instrument is the math achievement test in the form of multiple-choice questions. Test instruments include validity, distinguishing features, and reliability testing. Analysis of data using analysis prerequisite test consisting of a test for normality and homogeneity. Hypothesis test using t-test two parties and one party t-test. Based on the calculation of the t-test two parties with a significant level of 5%, and 58 degrees of freedom obtained  , indicates that there are differences between the students' mathematics learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning model NHT with students who use cooperative learning model TPS in the second semester of seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017. In the calculation of the t-test with a significance level of 5%, and 58 degrees of freedom obtained , shows that the cooperative learning model NHT more effective than cooperative learning model TPS to mathematics learning outcomes second semester of seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This study aims to determine is there a significant difference between the use MMP learning approach to TPS learning with the use MMP learning approach to NHT learning, and which is more effective between that lesson on math problem-solving ability. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA MAN Yogyakarta III that consists of five classes. The sample in this study consists of two classes, that were XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as the control class. The sampling technique used random sampling. The data collection method test and documentation. The research instrument is a problem solving test. Data analysis using t-test two parties and one party, but previously conducted test of normality and homogeneity. Based on the analysis of t-test two parties on mathematics problem-solving ability with a significance level of 5% and 55 degrees of freedom is obtained , indicating that there is a significant difference between the mathematics problem-solving ability using MMP learning approach to TPS learning with the use MMP learning approach to NHT learning, and Based on the analysis of t-test one parties with significance level of 5% and 55 degrees of freedom is obtained  indicates that the MMP learning approach to TPS learning more effective than the MMP learning approach to NHT learning on mathematics problem-solving ability.

Abstract

Lack of understanding of a concept would affect student learning outcomes, especially in mathematics. That matter which led to lower student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the differences in the ability of understanding mathematical concepts that use model-eliciting Activities and cooperative learning model of problem-solving as well as to compare the effectiveness of the model-eliciting Activities and cooperative learning model of problem-solving on the ability of understanding mathematical concepts at eleven grade of TKJ’s student in SMK Negeri 2 Depok Yogyakarta of even semester at academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this study is a class XI TKJ SMK Negeri 2 Depok Yogyakarta. Selection of the sample by means of a non-probability sampling with purposive technique, the sample selection based on objective and specific considerations. The sample in this research is class XI TKJ A as an experimental class 1 and class XI TKJ B as the experimental class 2. Of each class of samples taken 5 students for a testing-grade. The research design in this study is non-equivalent (pretest-posttest) Control-Group Design. The data collection method is a method of documentation and tests. The instrument was a matter of the description. Test data collection instruments used validity and test data analysis used reliability. The analysis of the data is the prerequisite test analysis including normality test and homogeneity test; and hypothesis testing using t-test. The result of the research on the significance level on 5% and df  = 52 indicates that: (1) There is the difference between the ability to understand mathematical concepts in learning that uses the model-eliciting activities with learning that uses the cooperative model of the problem-solving type. It can be seen that  greater than . (2) Learning mathematics students who use model-eliciting activities more effective than learning using a cooperative learning model of the problem-solving type. It can be seen that  greater than .
