Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the effect of corporate governance and sustainability report on the financial performance of entities, and corporate governance and sustainability report on the market entity with political visibility as moderating variable. Sustainability report was measured by a dummy variable by the Corporate Governance Scorecard with Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD). Then, financial performance as measured by profitability ratio (ROA) and Liquidity Ratio (CR), as well as the market performance were measured using Tobin’s Q. Meanwhile, the political visibility was measured by the log of total assets. The analysis of the data used Path Analysis method with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The analysis shows four results by using political visibility as moderating variable. First, the quality of corporate governance affects the financial performance. Second, the quality of corporate governance influences Tobin’s Q. Third, the sustainability report has an effect on the Return on Assets and current ratio. Last, sustainability report also affects Tobin’s Q.

Abstract

Mal Lippo Cikarang a shopping center that uses outsourcing employees to manager level down. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of work environment and job insecurity on work motivation and its impact on employee performance Outsourcing in Lippo Cikarang Mall. The method of analysis used in this study are Pearson correlation and path analysis. Data obtained from the assessment of employees through questionnaires and interviews. Results achieved in this study was to determine that the work environment at the Mall Lippo Cikarang less convenient and there is job insecurity on the company and therefore contributes less well on work motivation and employee performance Outsourcing in Lippo Cikarang Mall. Job insecurity has a weak and a significant effect on work motivation and employee performance and work environment has a fairly strong relationship and significant impact on employee motivation and performance. Motivation to work has a strong relationship to the employee's performance. With the company is expected to focus on increasing motivation and improving the working environment at the Mall Lippo Cikarang and member attention on job insecurity. In addition, the expected results of this research can provide input to the Mall Lippo Cikarang so as to improve employee performance Outsourcing as well.

Abstract

PT Indo Nuansa Jaya is a chemical materials manufacturing company for oil drilling and drilling tools in Indonesia. The selling level of chemical materials for drilling in 2008 has reached to 348 units, in 2009 to 549 units, and in 2010 decreased to 447 units. The research method used is survey method; meanwhile the research type is associative. Data is gathered from questionnaire to employees. Data processing is using SPSS 16.0 and then compared to the result from data processing using LISREL 8.80. The research resulted that the analysis of duties has relation in 0,628 and has significant influence in (0.516)2 = 26.63% towards motivation. From the result, it could be founded that motivation could influence employees performance in (0.412)2 or 16,97%.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is a major concern for the organization to achieve effective performance. Each member/employee has citizenship behavior on activities that do and job satisfaction is believed to be related to the behavior of employees. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).This study by taking a sample of Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) in Java, which is an organization that is engaged in social and institutional performance is determined by the workers who work to serve the community. Interesting to observe when the OCB research concerning the role of employees in a social institution. So the application of this research carried out by the context in social institutions, especially NGO.The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the positive effect of pay satisfaction on OCB, but the benefits did not significantly affect satisfaction positively on OCB and antecedent factors (pay satisfaction and benefits satisfaction) together - at no significant effect on OCB.

Abstract

This paper is intended to explain the use of the concept of fair value instead of book value. The accounting world in Indonesia during the last few years have made convergency implementation of new accounting standards oriented to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) issued by International Accounting Standard Boars (IASB). This new accounting standard that emphasizes the concept of fair value compared with book value concept is outdated. The use of the concept of fair value of the difference and it turned out to be a trigger konvergency change the paradigm of the book value of a simpler, but less information is less transparent. The implementation of accounting standards konverjensi done gradually raises serious problems, this can be seen from postponed the application of PSAK 50 & PSAK 55 in the banking industry. Knowledge and experience of inadequate is a priority of fair value implementation difficulties.

And one of them is financial statement. In that statements we can assess or evaluate all of its bussines activities. By doing analizing to the financial statements its might shown us about how the company using of all the financial resources to achieve their determined plans. Abstract

Batik is an icon nation for Indonesia. Batik has awarded as cultural heritage from UNESCO on October 2nd, 2009and it is significantly affected to batik industry afterward.The raising of batik industry caused some multiplier effects to economics and socio cultural in Indonesia. In many areas of industry, banking role has always beenthe man behind the scene. Banking role in Indonesia also gives some encouragement and be part of batik industry development. Many national event has been created by some banks to encourage SME in batik industry to market their product internationally. This paper will give a simple explanation how banking industry and batik industry get along together in Indonesia, especially in financial sector to enhance economics development and to preserve a nation culture.Research methodology in this paper is quantitative method. This paper will give a simple analysis through comparative analysis based on export value from batik industry, domestic use of batik,batik industry development and microcredit or loan from banking industry to SME in batik industry.Many people wearing batik to show how they do appreciate and belong to a culture.Batik also gives other spirit of nationalism which represent in Batik Nationalis.The role of batik in international diplomacy and in the world level gives significant meaning for batik as a commodity which preserve Indonesian culture. In a piece of batik cloth, embodied socio-cultural and economic values that maintain the dignity of a nation.

Abstract

The primary objectives of this research is to learn the amounts of industrial company using income smoothing practices and effecting among company size, return on assets, financial leverage, and operating leverage with income smoothing practices neither simultaneous nor partial. Data secondary collected by industrial companies listed at Indonesian Stock Exchage and the journal preceding research persons. The sesults of this research describe that there are 11 from 31 samples of industrial company using income smoothing practices. Company size, Return on assets, and financial leverage have not any an effecting significant to income smoothing practices, and Operating leverage have an effecting significant to income smoothing practices, but Company size, Return on assets, Financial leverage, and Operating Leverage have the simultaneous effecting significants to income smoothing practices. The topic of this research can be continued using a certain industrial groups or added many new independence variables, because if compared to proceeding research persons who mention the same and differences of its.

Abstract

This study describes the relationship between corporate governance with corporate performance and learns about the development and implementation of GCG in Indonesia. This study uses regression analysis to determine whether corporate governance has a positive influence. Sampling of Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) for 2006 to 2009 from The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) was used to measure the influence of corporate governance with Tobin’s Q on the performance of the enterprise market and Return On Equity (ROE) was used to measure the operational performance of the company. This study used a sample of 40 companies surveyed by IICG from 2006 to 2009 and included in the top 10 corporate governance ranking index released by IICG and the companies’ financial reporting are also listed on the BEI (Bursa Efek Indonesia) as well. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The result of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between corporate governance with Tobin’s Q (market performance) but there is a significant positive relationship between corporate governance with ROE (operational performance).

Abstract

The objective of this research were R to determine the financial ratios as a basis to describe the financial performance and compare stock prices to book value (PBV) and evaluate the rate of return between the two companies by using the Du Pont analysis, with the focus for pharmaceutical industries in Indonesia. The benefit to provide an overview of financial performance of both companies. Then predicted to prospective investors on the cheap or expensive a stock. Provide recommendations to potential investors to make investment decisions. The method used is the ratio method and the percentage sales method. The conclusion can be that the performance of Finance at PT Kimia Farma as part of Indonesian pharmaceutical industries largely increased from year to year, while PT Indofarma largely decreased. PT Indofarma stock price is cheaper than PT Kimia Farma. The rate of return is relatively stable PT Kimia Farma and PT Indofarma has decreased from year to year. For the moderate investor PT Kimia Farma is the right choice.
