Abstract

Tourist’s needs of hotel are going higher contributes to the development of the hotel industry in Bandung. In 2013, the number of 5-star hotel has 9 hotels. Among the nine hotels is The Trans Luxury Hotel which opened in 2012 with a 6-star hotel concept. Despite its young age, The Trans Luxury has been able to attract people to stay so the occupancy rate has been able to achieve an average occupancy rate in the city of Bandung. In a period of 20 months, the number of guests who stayed at The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung was dominated by individual guests, as many as 64%, while the number of business guests only reached 36%. Overall, the number of individual guests who stayed at The Trans Luxury Bandung during the period May 2012 to December 2013 was as much as 43.212 persons. The number of individual guests who stayed at The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung is still dominated by first timer guests in the amount of 63.38%, so it can be identified that the guest’s intent to return still very low. As a new hotel, The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung also has a goal to get the loyal customers. In the process of achieving customer loyalty, The Trans Luxury trying to focus on the characteristics of loyalty, one of them with efforts to increase guest’s intent in return to stay. In order to increase the guest’s intent in return to stay, The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung implementing marketing strategies that focus on the individual guests, one of which is to implement customer experience. In this study, the independent variable (X) which is used is the customer experience includes the physical environment and social interaction. The dependent variable (Y) is revisit intention. This type of research is descriptive verification, and the method used was a survey with simple random sampling technique, and then obtained a total sample of 100 respondents. Techniques of data analysis and hypothesis testing used is a multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there is a strong relationship between customer experience with revisit intention which is equal to 0.658 and simultaneously the customer experience effect on revisit intention of 43.3%.

Abstract

Kampung Gajah Wonderland is one of the tourist destinations in Bandung. The number of visits in Kampung Gajah Wonderland increased from year to year but the target desired by management is still not reached. Therefore, the management of Kampung Gajah Wonderland do the direct marketing strategy methods consisting of direct mail, door to door selling and telemarketing. The purpose of this research was to obtain the findings regarding the extent to which the program's direct marketing methods, decision to visit Kampung Gajah Wonderland and how direct marketing strategy influences methods of visiting in Kampung Gajah Wonderland. The type of research used are descriptive and verifikatif with methods used is explanatory survey. The sample in this study as many as 75 groups with sample withdrawal technique used is systematic random sampling. Technique of data analysis used is path analysis.The independent variable in this study are direct mail (X1), door to door selling (X2), and telemarketing (X3) a dependent variable used is decisions while visiting (Y) which consists of product choice, brand choice dealer choice, purchase, amount, timing the purchase and payment method. Research results show that groups responses to direct marketing methods against the decision of a visit generally rated highly. A factor that gets the highest rating is door to door selling. While direct mail get the lowest value. Response groups regarding decisions been rated high. Gets the highest appraisal indicators is purchase timing. While the indicators are getting low value is payment method. Based on testing of SPSS 20 showed a simultaneous and partial correlation between direct marketing methods with visit decision. Based on this research, management’s Kampung Gajah Wonderland expected to increase selling door to door program in order to achieve the desired target.

Abstract

Since the 2010 until 2012, the tourist shopper in Bandung continues to decline. One way to overcome this is to know the motivation of tourists, in order to create a strategy that fits with tourist. The government must be aware of the changes the tourist motivation, tourists are now no longer oriented to the economy and stuff, but they are shifting toward emotional orientation. In marketing this is called hedonic shopping motivation. Hedonic shopping motivation is an encouragement for someone to do the shopping, where these activities lead to a positive emotional experiences in the form of excitement, and can provide a stimulus for someone sensory. This study aims to describe the hedonic shopping motivation and visiting decision, and know the effect of hedonic shopping motivation on the visiting decision in Bandung shopping area. The population in this study is the tourist who visited the shopping areas in Bandung. Sampling technique used is cluster random sampling, with 156 respondents. Data analysis technique used is multiple regressions. The results of a descriptive study showed the sub-variable of hedonic shopping motivation that get the highest rating is value shopping, the lowest is role shopping. The sub-variable of visiting decision that gets the highest rating is the amount of the purchase. The results of a verification study showed the simultaneous hedonic shopping motive has an influence on visiting decision. However, with partial test only gratification shopping hat has an influence on the visiting decision, while the other sub variables are no influences on visiting decision. Based on this research, shopping area managers should focus on strategies to improve the role shopping and the amount of the purchase.

Abstract

The development of tourism in the Bandung become great opportunities for entrepreneurs in the tourism industry including tour and travel business, including Tour Operator. Tour Operator is a company that has activities on planning and organizing the trip for the purpose of tourism (tours). Marga Tour which is under the auspices of PT Marga Indonesia is offering tour packages as its products and services. In the years 2011-2013 the tour packages sales Marga Tour has decline. The solutions fot that problems, the managements of Marga Tour have strategy to put the name Marga Tour in the minds of consumers or in marketing theory called as brand positioning. Through the brand positioning “everyday is holiday”, Marga Tour hopes to increase sales of tour packages. The type of this study is descriptive and verificative, the sampling technique that is used is proportionate stratified random sampling. The sample size was calculated with the formula of Slovin and the result is 90 respondents. The data analysis technique used is the technique of path analysis. Based on the results of the statistical test result, the brand positioning “everyday is a holiday” which consists of defining and communicating the competitive frame of reference, points of parity and points of difference has influence towards purchase decisions of tour packages in Marga Tour Bandung, either simultaneously or partially.

Abstract

The development of the tourism sector in Indonesia has increasingly growth to the better way, for example MICE (meeting incentive, convention, and axibition). MICE is a part of the tourism industry today. Golden Flower Hotel Bandung is a four stars hotel in Bandung that provides a place to host MICE, with the hotel’s main goal is to get the value or positive perception from target business with appropriate targets. In 2013 Golden Flower Hotel Bandung meeting events decreased by 1,9%. The aim of this study was to obtain an overview of customer value and the decision to use meeting package and the influence on the decision to use meeting package at Golden Flower Hotel Bandung. This research used customer value as variables (X) which consist of emotional value, social value, quality/performance value and price/value of money. According to Sweeney and Soutar (Gery 2010:8), the dependent variable (Y) is the decision to use meeting package. This type of research is descriptive verification, and the using method was a survey with a systematic of random sampling, and the numbers are 50 companies as business guests at Golden Flower Hotel Bandung. For the data analysis technique and hypothesis testing, multiple regression technique was used in this research. The results showed that the sub variable social value has the highest influence towards the decision to use meeting package, because it has given good service to the guest’s business so they got memorable experience and has a value / positive perception about the Golden Flower Hotel Bandung.

Abstract

Tourism industries in Indonesia has developed very advanced, this is due to the increasing number of tourists both foreign tourists and domestic tourists. The development of the need for care and maintenance as well as improvement in various sectors, especially regarding the facility and to provide easy of accommodation for tourists visiting. Puspa Iptek Sundial is one of the tourist attraction located in the area Kota Baru Parahyangan West Bandung regency, it is easy to access and make it as a choice of tourist attraction to visit. The implementation of Brand Positioning in this study measured by the knowledge of respondents to Attributes, Benefits and Beliefs and Value. Respondents also being questioned on their perception about visiting decision to the Puspa Iptek Sundial. The results of this study indicate that the Brand positioning influence on decision to visit. This can be seen from the significantly high level of correlation and also the result shows the relationship between Brand Positioning and against visiting decision is in a strong relationship.

Abstract

As time goes by, the tourism sector in Indonesia has grown and developed into an independent industry sources. National tourism develeopment has the purpose of facilitating the national tourism business, as one source of foreign countries, and the need to improve the organization and functioning of the implementing body in the field of tourism. Hotel industry is an important industry in tourism activities because hotel industry gives a large contribution for tourism sector. Aston Braga Hotel and Residence Bandung as one of four stars hotel in Bandung always strive to maintain aand increase every important aspects which are related to the main goal that is get customer loyalty. The goal can be reached by giving the best services to the guest that greatly exceeds their ecpectations and give an expectional experiences which hard to find in other hotels. In this research, independent variable (X) that used is media advertising above the line which is television, magazine, internet, dan billboard. Dependen variable (Y) is free individual traveller decisison to stay. This type of research is descriptive verification , and the method used sytematic random sampling tehnique, the number of sample obtained for 100 guest who stay Aston Braga Hotel and Residence Bandung. tehniques of data analysis and hypothesis testing used path analysis. The results showed that media advertising above the line significantly influence in decision to stay. The most influential factors for the media advertising above the line is internet which one most higher in reached decision to stay.
