Abstract

This study aims to: formulate operational concepts to measure the level of household food endurance, to analyze indicators of household food endurance in terms of aspects of education, economics, and food consumption, identify the characteristics of households that experienced food unendurance. Household sample was pre-prosperous, prosperous I, prosperity II, prosperous III, and prosperous III +. Selection random sample coated with proportional allocation. Types of data collected include demographic characteristics of household, ownership of land, the economic characteristics of households, household social characteristics. Based on discriminant analysis, it found five variables that can be indicators of household food enduracnce is the wife of education backgaround, ownership of chickens, the frequency of eating rice consumption , cassava consumption frequency and the frequency of consumption of salted fish. The higher the wife's education, the more resistant the household food. While ownership of the chicken and salted fish consumption is indicated that is the opposite of more domesticated chickens and the higher the frequency of consumption of salted fish is the household food unendurance. Striking characteristic is the average frequency of consumption of salted fish, the frequency of household consumption of food endurance just 0.7 times per week, while the household does not endurance as much food frequency 3.9 times per week.

Abstract

This study aims to find effective ways to teach using the demonstration and experimentation.The method used was action research with the research procedure is divided into two cycles.Each cycle begins with planning, action, observation and reflection.The instrument used in this study consists of three types of teacher observation, questionnaire responses of students and the work of the students.Analysis of the data processed by descriptive refers to the process and results of student work.The results showed that the use of demonstration and experimental methods can improve psychomotor skills, the use of blend and experimental demonstration method can increase the activity of students, and the use of demonstrations and experiments can be used by instructors as a teaching strategy.

Abstract

The rapid growth of science and technology in the era of globalization is resulting in changes to the circumstances in all areas. Interactive Jobsheet utilization in the lab performed as learning innovation efforts to improve students' level of proficiency in performing lab work correctly, different learning styles, accompanied jobsheet that uses a computer in a way that will easily evoke the spirit of the students in learning, improving students' attention to the subject material and to improve the effectiveness in implementing practical. Research using quantitative descriptive method with the subject is the first class of Aircfraft Eelectronic at Vocational High School 12 Bandung, with a population sample of 32 students. Data was collected through questionnaires, multiple-choice objective test and lab test. Data processing is performed by calculating the linearity test and the significance of regression, correlation coefficients and coefficients of determination with the help of Microsoft Excel 2007. The results of the calculations provide an overview of how the questionnaire responses of students in the interactive jobsheet utilization, while the objective test and lab tests showed the level of mastery and student learning outcomes. The results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination, the response of the students in the Interactive Jobsheet utilization has a positive influence on students' level of proficiency in performing lab. with standard medium / fairly

Abstract

This paper shows the study result of performance assessment instrument development for the learning of fish-rearing technique. The study was intended to develop the new performance assessment instrument and to determine teachers’ and students’ responses toward its using. The study adapted development research procedures by selecting 27 students as the sample. Before the instrument was applied, it was tested by some experts. The result of feasibility test showed that the performance assessment instrument was categorized very good, thus revision was not required. After that, the instrument was experimented to several students. The findings showed that according to the teachers, the media attainment level was classified very good; however, the students argued that the instrument was good. Therefore, it was concluded that the performance assessment instrument was able to improve students’ interest toward practical work, to motivate students in learning, and to help them in scoring. The researchers hope that the study can contribute to the quality improvement of performance assessment instrument in the learning process at vocational secondary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much the contributions industry practices and student motivation on attitudes to entrepreneurship. The study was conducted on students of SMK Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu with a sample of 38 students and collecting data using questionnaires and documentation. The result showed that the industry practices and student motivation has a higher contribution to the students' entrepreneurial attitude. The conclusion of this research is to improve the quality of graduates of vocational schools should place students in appropriate and relevant industries. In addition, provide an understanding of student motivation in order to encourage students to have an entrepreneurial attitude and be able confront the challenges in the world of work and life.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the many indications of the students do not have mechanical aptitude, so have difficulty in following the process of learning in productive subjects for both theory and practice during the learning process less motivated, the number of students who are not competent and did not pass the competency test and should carry out remedial and percentage SMK Vijayakusuma graduate students working in the industry in accordance with the competence and expertise is very small. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution mechanical talents, the learning process in productive subjects and competence to work in the industry. This study took a sample of 80 students. Method is a descriptive correlational study with data processing using path analysis. Research results are Mechanical talents, the process of learning in productive subjects and competence together make a positive contribution to the readiness to work in the industry at 56.5%. The conclusion from this study that partial mechanical aptitude, the learning process in productive subjects contribute to the readiness and competence to work in the industry is at a low level.

Abstract

This study describes the design process and implementation of video media in learning the electrical and electronic measuring instruments principles.The purpose of making this media to improve students understanding of the principles of electrical and electronic measuring instruments, include teaching materials about the gauge multimeters, the voltmeter and amperemeter. Research procedure followed the steps of research and development. Data collection was done by assigning kuersioner and structured interviews. The results showed that the learning conditions is still conventional, the use of video-based learning media has been tested and positive impact on student responses and help students and teachers in the learning process. The implication is expected to have an impact on teachers increased innovation in the use of instructional media.
