Abstract

Shelving is arranging library collections on the shelfes. This activity is very important to controll the collection and has role in the process of information retrieval. But nowdays the shelving it self still has some issues, first is a clerical job, so the job is considered not professional, and second is a main key of the process of retrieval of information / documents. The solution is to set up shelving employees who have professional competenceies in one side, and the other hand is that the need for rationalization with the number of personnel available. This step is the way to determine or make sure that the retrieval of information / documents can run well, without disrupting the work of expert librarians who have the other tasks of librarianship.

Abstract

The issue of election officials to occupy a strategic position became the deep concern. It is common knowledge that if you want to become officers must spend some money, ethnicity, and proximity ("isms"). To avoid this, the solutions offered are software engineering (RPL / software engineering) with the help of computer-based information systems as decision support direct election of the method of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). AHP method was applied to computer-based systems in particular to determine the official candidates who will occupy strategic positions in an organization. Election officials have to determine some criteria. The criteria are organized in a matrix form in pairswill then be tested for consistency using the formula . End result of the overall priority (global) ratings so you will know (rank) of each candidate's.Keyword :RPL (Software Engineering) dan AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out whether Gunadarma University's Library is applying the user focus, then how to apply the user focus in the library because it can be seen that the information needs of each person is varied and more complex. It indirectly requires libraries to develop and pay attention to these things so that it can innovate and follow the development of information that exist in today's society. The theory used is custumer oriented because considering the needs of each individual is very complex and different so that custumer oriented can be said accordingly. The type of research used is descriptive analysis and the result shows good service care done by party such as free internet service and hot spot, integrated art room service (modern musical instrument, gamelan, ape, cd / dvd, play station, etc.) craft services, home theater, edu galleries, cultural collections, comic corners, rock, rock and soil research services in Gunungkidul district, storytelling services, dance studio and painting studio, library and archive consultancy services, visit library, and gift giving smart. Besides also utilizing the internet media and cooperation with various parties to develop the library became better.Keywords: library, good service, user

Abstract

User now use the computer while the media access to information. One aspect that emerged from the development of new media is a meeting between user in the area of virtual communication. This is called the computer mediated communication and represented by text. The presence of cyber media to form a new way of communicating, because the process through which the message are distributed via the internet. Changes in library communication is Zuckerberg time. Transformation can strengthen the role of libraries.

Abstract

The more rapid rain of information that occurs, will increase the awareness of the user to literate for the sake of reviewing an outstanding information that has not been ascertained the truth. The development and use of technology also makes it easy for librarians to publish gray literacy to users, especially students in supporting their formal and non-formal learning process, so that gray literacy is used to the maximum extent by the users and be aware of the importance of the value contained in the ash literacy -ash.
