Abstract

A ternary semiring is an additive commutative semigroup with a ternary multiplication which satisfying some condition. This paper will be discuss about prime bi-ideal radikal in semiring ternary with definition and some theorem. If B is a bi-ideal in semiring ternary T, then radical prime bi-ideal of B in semiring ternary T is an intersection of all prime bi-ideal in semiring ternary T which containing B.

Abstract

The birth interval of first child is one example of survival analysis. The objective of this research is to determine the best Cox regression model that describes the impact of several factors to the birth interval of first child in South Sumatra Province. The data were based on the Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) 2012. In this work, we included four factors, i.e. the age of the mother, mother’s highest education, place of residence, and wealth index. Based on several tests that have been conducted, the factors which significantly affect the survival time were the age of the mother, mother’s highest education (junior high school), and wealth index (middle and very rich). Abstract

Binomial Model for Valuing Employee Stock Options. Employee Stock Options (ESO) differ from standard exchange-traded options. The three main differences in a valuation model for employee stock options : Vesting Period, Exit Rate and Non-Transferability. In this thesis, the model for valuing employee stock options discussed. This model are implement with a generalized binomial model.

Abstract

Analisis regresi nonparametrik merupakan metode pendugaan kurvaregresi yang digunakan jika tidak ada informasi sebelumnya te,ntang benttrk kurvaregresi atau tidak terikat pada asumsi bentuk fungsi tertentu. Estimasi fungsiregresi nonparametrik dilakukan berdasarkan daA pengamatan dengan menggunakanteknik pemulusan (smoothing). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkanpendekatan estimator kernel dalam regresi nonparametik padadata sekunder,yaitu data motorcycle. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan batrwa penggunaanfungsi kernel yang berbda yaitu fungsi kernel Triangle dan kernel Gaussian denganbandwidth optimal menghasilkan estimasi kurva regresi yang hanrpir saura, sehinggadapat dituojukkan bahwa pemilihan bandwidth lebih penting dibandingkandengan pernilihan fungsi kernel.

Abstract

In the millennial era an innovative and creative learning media is needed by utilizing technology that can improve the quality of student learning in abstract algebra lectures. One of them is by using Screencast O-Matic (SOM) software application. SOM is software that is generally used for making tutorial videos to explain or explain learning material.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of SOM in abstract algebra learning in terms of student activity and completeness of student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were the 5th semester students of the 5th semester Mathematics education program at STKIP Bangkalan PGRI who were participating in the Abstract Algebra course. 35 students. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with the research instruments being the observation sheet of student activities and learning outcomes test questions. The results of this study are the use of Screencast O-matic software media in learning abstract algebra courses said to be effective based on indicators of effectiveness consisting of effective student activities and student learning outcomes completed in a classical manner.

Abstract

An omnibus normality test is a normality test that can give additional information about nonnormalityor other deviation from normality through the skewness and the kurtosis coefficients. The aim of thisresearch is to implement the omnibus D’Agostino-Pearson K2 test and modified Jarque-Bera teststatistic using R software.

Abstract

Silat is a class of indigenous martial arts found in some countries in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, and south of Thailand. In Indonesia, silat is organised by several silat organisations according to its style (aliran) or school (perguruan). This essay is aimed to study the motivation of playing silat and classify it into its motivational factors by applying confirmatory factor analysis. The data were collected by distributing self-administered questionnaire to 180 members of Perisai Diri at Bali Province, one silat school in Indonesia. Six factors were confirmed as motivational factors for playing silat. These factors, order decreasingly according to their variance explained, are Appreciation of Indigenous Culture, Personal Achievement, Self-Defence, Recreation, Health Maintenance, and Mental & Spiritual Building.

Abstract

The aims of the research is to describe the student’s errors in solving word problem about two variable linear equations system based Field Independence (FI) and Field Dependence (FD) cognitive style and describe the scaffolding used to solve student’s errors in solving word problem about two variable linear equations system based FI and FD cognitive style. This research uses qualitative research methods by giving test n interviewing on the subject of research. Results showed that students with FI cognitive style make errors in solving mathematical model and stating the final answer. Whereas FD cognitive style of students make errors in understanding the problem, making a mathematical model, completing mathematical model and stating the final answer. The scaffolding given to FI cognitive style student includes reviewing. Whereas the scaffolding given to FD cognitive style student include explaining, reviewing and restructuring

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode Ringkas Belajar Perkalian dapat mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam perkalian susun, pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan model rancangan penelitian eksperimental, yaitu pre experimental design dengan jenis desain pre test and post test group design. Prosedur pelaksanaan eksperimen pada penelitian ini terdiri dari rangkaian kegiatan berupa: pelaksanaan pre test, pemberian perlakuan, dan pelaksanaan post test. Eksperimen ini melibatkan dua kelompok subjek yang memperoleh perlakuan pemberian metode klasik dan metode ringkas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 4 SD No. 2 Bebalang, Kabupaten Bangli.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif terhadap data yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara, dan analisis data kuantitatif terhadap data-data yang diperoleh dari hasil pre test dan post test. Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan uji t (t test) untuk sampel berpasangan (paired sample t test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat peningkatan yang berarti terhadap perolehan belajar siswa setelah diberikan metode klasik, terlihat dari rendahnya persentase siswa yang memiliki nilai post test pada kategori sedang dan tinggi. Metode Ringkas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan perolehan belajar siswa dalam perkalian susun. Metode ringkas efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam perkalian susun pelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Data merupakan salah satu poin penting dalam setiap analisis data, karena tidak akan mungkin analisis dapat dilakukan jika datanya tidak lengkap. Data yang digunakan diharapkan merupakan data yang baik. Namun pada kenyataannya, seringkali data tidak sesuai dengan yang kita harapkan. Data yang tidak lengkap menyebabkan proses mengambil kesimpulan mejadi lebih sulit. Jika data yang hilang diabaikan, maka akan menyebabkan kesimpulan bias atau tidak valid. Dalam penelitian ini akan digunakan model regresi linear. Analisis regresi adalah analisis statistik yang dilakukan untuk memodelkan hubungan antara (variabel dependen) dan variabel random kategorik (variabel independen). Untuk variabel kontinu dan variabel diskrit, dengan mengasumsikan variabel yang seluruhnya teramati dan terdapat beberapa variabel yang hilang. Adapun klasifikasi data hilang yang akan dibandingkan terdiri dari tiga klasifikasi yaitu: MCAR, MAR, dan MNAR. Pembahasan ini diakhiri dengan studi kasus mengenai estimasi nilai data hilang pada variabel presentasi data xerostomia dengan menggunakan algoritma EM untuk menghitung maksimum likelihood estimasi (MLE) pada model regresi linear dengan tiga klasifikasi data hilang.
