Abstract

In the millennial era an innovative and creative learning media is needed by utilizing technology that can improve the quality of student learning in abstract algebra lectures. One of them is by using Screencast O-Matic (SOM) software application. SOM is software that is generally used for making tutorial videos to explain or explain learning material.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of SOM in abstract algebra learning in terms of student activity and completeness of student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were the 5th semester students of the 5th semester Mathematics education program at STKIP Bangkalan PGRI who were participating in the Abstract Algebra course. 35 students. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with the research instruments being the observation sheet of student activities and learning outcomes test questions. The results of this study are the use of Screencast O-matic software media in learning abstract algebra courses said to be effective based on indicators of effectiveness consisting of effective student activities and student learning outcomes completed in a classical manner.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media videoscribe pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel dan untuk melihat validitas media videoscribe tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) yang hanya menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu Analysis, Design, dan Development. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pedoman wawancara dan lembar validasi media yang terdiri dari lembar validasi ahli materi dan lembar validasi ahli media. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan wawancara dan pemberian angket validasi kepada validator. Analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa perhitungan rata-rata skor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh penilaian terhadap media videoscribe dari ahli materi dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 4,833 dan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat layak. Sedangkan penilaian ahli media dengan rata-rata 4,058 yang menunjukkan kriteria layak. Dari kedua penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh rata-rata 4,445. Dari hasil tersebut maka media video scribe yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat layak serta valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Abstrak.Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pemahaman siswa SMP pada masalah kalimat matematika karena hal ini sangat penting dan mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah kalimat matematika. Adapun tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman siswa SMP perempuan dengan kemampuan matematika rendah pada masalah kalimat matematika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah satu orang siswa SMP perempuan kelas VIII yang mempunyai kemampuan matematika rendah. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dengan instrumen pendukung yaitu soal tes kemampuan matematika, soal tes pemahaman pada kalimat matematika dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah bahwa pemahaman subjek perempuan pada masalah kalimat matematika yaitu pada komponen pemahaman interpreting subjek menginterpretasi masalah tersebut dengan menggunakan kalimat sendiri secara lengkap. Sedangkan pada komponen pemahaman summarizing subjek tidak menyatakan kalimat matematika dengan menggunakan notasi matematika akan tetapi dengan menggunakan kata-kata. Pada komponen pemahaman inferring subjek menyelesaikan masalah kalimat matematika secara terperinci dengan menggunakan perhitungan perkalian yang dituliskan secara lengkap dan subjek menyimpulkan jawaban sesuai dengan pertanyaan yang diajukan pada masalah kalimat matematika. Pada komponen pemahaman explaining subjek menjelaskan setiap langkah penyelesaiannya secara rinci serta menuliskannya pada hasil pekerjaanya.Abstract.The focus of the problem in this study is an understanding of junior high school students in mathemarical word problem because it is very important and affects the student's ability in solving mathematical problems sentences. The purpose of this research is to describe the understanding of female junior high school students with low mathematic competence in mathematical word problem. The subjects were a junior high students of class VIII women who have low mathematic competence. The instrument of this study is the researchers themselves with instruments that support mathematic competence test questions, test questions on sentence comprehension of mathematics and interview guidelines. The results obtained is that the understanding of the subject matter of women in mathematical word is on understanding components of interpreting the subject interpret these problems by using their own sentences in full. While on the subject summarizing understanding of the components do not declare the sentence mathematics using mathematical notation but by using words. On the subject component inferring understanding solve problems detailed mathematical sentence using the multiplication calculation is written in full and in accordance with the subject concludes answers to questions on the issue of mathematical sentence. In the component of understanding explaining the subject to explain each step of the solution in detail and write it on the results of his work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui keefektifan media pembelajaran video bus math memakai aplikasi video scribe berbasis saintifik pada materi barisan dan deret. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan Research And Development (R&D) dengan metode pengembangan memakai model pengembangan 4-D (four D model) dengan tahap pengembangan yang hanya memakai sampai 3 tahap saja, yaitu: (1) pendefinisian (define), (2) perancangan (design), dan (3) pengembangan (develop). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran video bus math (business mathematic) memakai aplikasi video scribe berbasis saintifik pada materi barisan dan deret dengan memakai model pengembangan 4-D yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan media pembelajaran yang baik dan efektif pada materi barisan dan deret kelas XI karena memenuhi (1) kategori valid dengan oleh rata-rata persentase 87% atau layak dan ahli media diperoleh rata-rata persentase 85% atau layak, (2) kategori efektif untuk kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dengan skor rata-rata 3,7 atau sangat baik, (3) kategori efektif untuk aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran memperoleh hasil 7 aspek aktivitas siswa dalam kriteria batasan efektif, (4) kategori positif untuk respons siswa diperoleh persentase semua aspek di atas 80%, dan (5) kategori ketuntasan secara klasikal untuk hasil belajar siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal 87,5%. This study aims to develop and determine the effectiveness of bus math video learning media using scientific-based video scribe applications on sequences and series subject. This type of research used Research and Development (R&D) with the development method using a 4-D (four D model) development model with a development phase that only uses up to 3 stages, namely: (1) defining, (2) designing ( design), and (3) development. The results of the study can be concluded that the development of video bus math (business mathematic) learning media uses scientific-based video scribe applications on row and series material by using the 4-D development model which is carried out to get good and effective learning media on class XI material and series because it meets (1) a valid category with an average percentage of 87% or feasible and media experts obtained an average percentage of 85% or feasible, (2) an effective category for teachers' ability to manage learning with an average score of 3.7 or very good, (3) effective categories for student activities in learning get 7 aspects of student activity results in the criteria of effective limits, (4) positive categories for student responses obtained percentage of all aspects above 80%, and (5) classical completeness category for student learning outcomes has reached classical completeness 87.5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' creative thinking skills in solving HOTS problems in terms of cognitive style. The subjects in this study were 2 female students of grade VII SMP consisting of 1 student with a field-independent cognitive style and 1 student with a field-dependent cognitive style. The research instrument consisted of GEFT test questions to determine students' cognitive style, HOTS math questions in the form of description questions on triangular flat shapes, and interview guidelines. The data collection technique used technical tests followed by semi-structured interviews to confirm students' creative thinking abilities. Test data credibility by triangulation, while the technical analysis of data through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the subject with the field-independent cognitive style met the indicators of creative thinking fluency and flexibility, and was at the level of creative thinking level 3 with the creative category. While the subject with the field-dependent cognitive style does not meet the three indicators of creative thinking fluency, flexibility, and novelty, so the subject is at level 0 creative thinking with the uncreative category

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of teachers to manage to learn using the POGIL model and to describe students' critical thinking skills after being taught using the POGIL model. This type of research was quantitative research. The research design used was one group posttest only, with a population of all VII grade students of SMP N 1 Geger, and one class was taken randomly as a sample, namely class VIIC as the sample. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. Observations were made to obtain data on the ability of teachers in managing to learn using the POGIL learning model and tests were carried out to obtain data on students' critical thinking abilities. The data analysis used was descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the teacher's ability to manage to learn was said to be effective because the average results of the observed aspects in learning I and II were in good and very good categories. This shows that the teacher has carried out the learning process well and was by the steps of the POGIL learning model. The POGIL learning model was also able to develop students' critical thinking skills because the total percentage of students with high and moderate critical thinking skills was more than 80%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran KAKI Matematika (Teka-Teki Silang Matematika) berbasis saintifik pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan metode pengembangan menggunakan model Dick & Carey. Penentuan kelayakan produk melalui uji validasi media pembelajaran, uji validasi ahli materi, uji perorangan, uji kelompok kecil dan uji lapangan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi media pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa, sedangkan subjek penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa kelas X Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase validasi media pembelajaran sebesar 85% dengan kriteria layak dan tidak perlu direvisi, hasil rata-rata persentase validasi ahli materi 93% dapat diartikan bahwa materi dalam kategori layak dan tidak perlu revisi, dan persentase respon positif siswa sebesar 97%. Dengan kategori valid berdasarkan penilaian para ahli dan kategori positif untuk respon siswa terhadap media, maka media pembelajaran KAKI Matematika dikatakan media pembelajaran yang baik.
