Abstract

Abstract. Ability of teachers to create learning tools based approach to modeling and implementing the device in the learning process is a component of teacher performance is the goal of the research so by increasing the performance of teachers are expected to improve learning outcomes chemistry students in grade XI SMAN 2 Central Dusun and SMAN 1 Awang Lapai. This study uses two cycles each cycle consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects were two chemistry teachers XI IPA SMAN 2 Central Dusun and SMAN 1 Awang Lapai. The results showed an increase in the ability of chemistry teachers XI IPA SMAN 2 Central Dusun in drafting device modeling approach based learning by 58% in the first cycle to 86.5% in the second cycle and at SMAN 1 Awang Lapai amounted to 64.75% in the first cycle to 86.5% in the second cycle. Similarly, in implementing device modeling approach based learning in SMAN 2 Central Dusun 71.5% and 86.5% in the second cycle. The ability of chemistry teachers XI IPA SMAN 1 Awang Lapai in implementing the device in the learning process increased by 67.5% in the first cycle to 86% in the second cycle. In the modeling approach learning with students and teachers have a positive response, visible enthusiasm in the learning process.Keywords: performance of teachers, academic supervision, modeling learning approaches

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve the activity and results of students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin, materials with curved side to use the media in cooperative learning of Jigsaw. The research method used was classroom action research that consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin the academic year 2013/2014, totaling 17 people. Data collected through observation sheet to determine the learning activities in class and test instruments to determine the level of understanding / student learning outcomes. This study was conducted in two cycles and at every meeting ends with the execution of tests that can be known whether there is an increase in activity and student learning outcomes with curved side material in math. Research says that the jigsaw cooperative learning model can (1) increase the activity of students with active category, (2) Improve student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 with individual completeness of 7 students to 15 students. Based on these results indicate that by using the media in cooperative learning jigsaw can enhance the activity adan learning outcomes of students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin so it can be used as an alternative model of learning mathematics and can be recommended to teachers to implement cooperative learning jigsaw for can enhance students' understanding of mathematics.Keywords: Jigsaw, activity and learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. Methods One Day Adventure is a learning method developed from cooperative approach to the investigation group (Group Investigation). This study on the application of methods One Day Adventure at SDN Jurubanu on the subjects of Science. The research objective is to improve the scientific skills of students, increase the activity of teachers and students in the green plant material. Scientific skills are the main objectives of this research are mangamati skills, ask questions, make hypotheses, conduct observations, interpret and communicate. Subjects in this study were students of class V SDN Jurubanu totaling 14 people. The study design consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The results showed that: (1) an increase in scientific skills of students in each meeting, and the most developed skill is the skill of observation. (2) the quality of the teacher's activities increased from 41.5 category is very less in cycle 1 meeting 1 to 65 category is quite active in cycle 2 meeting 2, and (3) an increase in the activity of students in each cycle, cycle 1 meeting 1 scored the mean 54.1 average less active category while in the second cycle 2 meeting increased to 73.0 categories. Thus, it can be said that the method of One Day Adventure can improve scientific skills, activities of teachers and students of SDN Jurubanu activity.Keywords: teacher activities, student activities, scientific skills, methods One Day Adventure

Abstract

Abstract. This research is motivated from three things, the delivery of materials science tends to be more focused on the provision of information or storytelling concepts on literature, so that students are less involved during the learning activities. This interest and motivation to learn science be reduced. Secondly, classical completeness is below standard, this is due to less pahamnya concepts that are presented. Third, students are less given the existing problems surrounding environment so that students are less concerned about the environment dirty. There are 3 formulation of the issues raised in this study, namely: how to increase the activity of students in learning, improve student learning outcomes and student response to learning on the competence to process waste. Using the model of Problem Based Learning objective of the research is to increase the activity of students, improve learning outcomes and evaluate the response of a class XI student of Accounting 2 SMKN 1 Tanjung on waste management competence. The results showed that the activity of students increased from a category quite the first cycle to the excellent category in the second cycle, the learning outcomes of students increased this can be seen from the students' understanding of the category enough the first cycle to the excellent category in the second cycle, the increased ability to solve problems from category enough in the first cycle to the excellent category in the second cycle, social skills increased from enough categories in the first cycle to be very good in the second cycle, skill performance increase of category enough the first cycle to the excellent category on the second cycle, the model learning Problem Based learning received a very positive response from the students of class XI AK 2 SMKN 1 Tanjung.Keywords: Problem Solving, Garbage, Problem Based Learning (PBL).

Abstract

Abstract. Implementation of TGT model and GI on food in the digestive system concept B class VIII SMPN I Paringin expected to increase the activity and student learning outcomes. In addition, this research purpose to increase the activity of teachers and students' response to the learning model of TGT and GI. This type of research is a kind of action research Classes (Classroom Action Research). The study consisted of two cycles, and each cycle consisted of two meetings with the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class VIII B SMPN 1 Paringin totaling 20 people, 9 men and 11 women. Results showed increased activity of teachers of the first cycle of 94% to 96.25% in the second cycle in the excellent category, the learning activities of students has increased in the first cycle TGT learning model by 77% and the learning model GI of 75.84% while in the second cycle TGT learning model by 95% and GI learning model by 96%. Learning outcomes of students also increased from the action, which is an average result of learning the first cycle of 68.25%, and in the second cycle of 98.95% with a classical KKM 76. While the expected 85% of students completed can also be achieved, it this can be seen in the first cycle of 70% and the second cycle has reached 90%. Response / feedback class VIII B SMPN 1 Paringin responded positively to the learning model of TGT and GI.Keywords: Activities Learning, Learning Outcomes, Learning Model, TGT, GI.

Abstract

Abstract. Research on improving students' science process skills through an approach Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) on the material motion system in humans through the experimental method. WBT approach application through the experimental method is expected to have a positive impact on the construction of students 'knowledge and science process skills of students in the learning process, especially in the materials science of human motion system so as to improve students' understanding of the material. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' science process skills using WBT approach through experimental methods in material of human motion system. The method used was classroom action research which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Paringin in class VIII B comprised 18 students in the first semester of the school year 2013/2014. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Data collected by the observation sheet science process skills and achievement test. Qualitative data analysis techniques based on descriptive analysis of the increase from cycle to cycle two. The study concluded that: (1) The student process skills of students increased from lower to higher category. (2) the results of student learning increased from 44.44% to 88.89%. Thus the application of WBT approach can improve students' science process skills.Keywords: Whole Brain Teaching, human motion system, Experiment.

Abstract

Abstract. The concept of atomic structure is one of the chemical concepts are quite abstract and difficult to be understood by high school students. From the results of learning in the school year 2012/2013 in SMAN 2 Tanjung is found that only 35% of the 243 students who are classified as being above the level of mastery learning about atomic structure. Based on these data, it is assumed that to improve activities and understanding of student learning atomic structure. It is expected can change to a better rate through the strategy Concept Mapping with the task of writing Journal of Learning in the atomic structure. The results of research are obtained before use concept mapping acquired the average of value about 65.83. In the first cycle the atomic structure of matter obtained the average value about 70.17. In the second cycle the atomic structure of matter obtained the average of value about 75.50. It represents that increase understanding of student from the average of value about 4.34 in the first cycle, and increase about 5.33 in the second cycle. While the average activities of student learning in the first cycle about 58.66% have increase about 11.34% to 70.00% in the second cycle. Teacher implements the strategy Concept Mapping with the task of writing Journal of Learning in the atomic structure of matter, that is based on constructivism, according the plan that had been developed, so that activities and understanding of student learning atomic structure can be increased on the class X-2 SMAN 2 Tanjung in academic year 2013/2014.Keywords: learning activity, atomic structure, concept mapping, journal of learning.

Abstract. The reasearch problem at lack of teacher’s ability to choose suitable method and media with abstract character of electron configuration and element periodic system, cause of low level students comprehension and learning achievement. It needs inovation in learning by using simulation method by assistance of electron configuration charging and discharging media. The result of research prove that simulation method by assistance of electron configuration charging and discharging media is able to increase students activities increase from medium to very good, social skill from good to very good, also teacher activity is increase from good enough to very good. It also influence to students learning achievement in class XI IPA MAN 2 Paringin , at the beginning, students ability level at pre test only 34,40%, 64,80% at first cycle and 81,64% at second cycle and classical completeness from first to second cycle increase from 70% to 100%, student’s intrest in very good category in learning process.Keywords : activity, electron configuration charging and discharging media, learning achievement, simulation method, social skill

Abstract

Abstract: Use of IMPROVE method to increase student’s ability in problem solving of the buffer, solubility and solubility product at class XI IPA 4 SMAN 1 Banjarmasin School Year 2012/2013. A study concerning the use of the IMPROVE in buffer, solubility and solubility product. This study aims to determine the increase in students' ability in problem solving, both cognitive achievement and metacognitive development. Study using action research design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin with the number 34. Data were collected using a test problem-solving ability and other non-test instruments to determine the implementation of the action. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the application of IMPROVE method can improve students' ability to solve the problems of the average 37.96 to 61.83 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Cognitive learning outcomes of students on average 54.74 to 93.79 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Metacognitive development of students hasincreased from category Still Very Risky (SVR) in the first cycle to Start Growing (SG) in the second cycle. An increase in activity of teachers in the implementation of the action category quite well in the first cycle to be good in the second cycle. Student activity increased in the first cycle of category good enough to be good on the second cycle. Student responses on the first and second cycle showed excellent criterion.Keywords: IMPROVE method, metacognitive, problem-solving ability

Abstract

Abstract. Has done research about implementation e-learning study based website in science class 1 grade XI of SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. This research aims to know improved learning outcomes and student‟s motivation in solubility and solubility product material by implemented study e-learning based website. This research uses classroom action research design, with 2 cycles. Every cycles consist of stage planning, action, observation and evaluation and also analysis and reflection. The subject of research are 29 students science class 1 grade XI of SMAN 12 Banjarmasin . Data collected by online test in website and motivation questionnaire. Data analyzed by presentation technic and explained in quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that by implementation e-learning study based website can increase learning outcomes of solubility and solubility product material from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Understanding level of student increase from 85,19% in cycle 1 become 100% in cycle 2. Student motivation by implementation e-learning study based website in “very well” category.Keywords: e-leaning, website, solubility and solubility product
