Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu penting dan berguna  dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, masih ditemukannya fakta bahwa beberapa siswa mengganggap matematika merupakan pelajaran yang cukup sulit, sehingga mereka kurang menyukai pelajaran matematika. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasinya yaitu penggunaan bahan ajar interaktif yang mengaitkan kerajinan tangan anyaman bambu. Sehingga, dilakukanlah pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika pada materi bangun datar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses serta hasil kevalidan dan kepraktisan dari produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode R&D (Reseacrh and Development) dengan model 4D. Penelitian ini dilakukan hanya sampai tahap ketiga yaitu pengembangan (develop). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembar validasi serta angket respon guru dan peserta didik. Validasi dilakukan oleh dua orang ahli dan uji kepraktisan dilakukan oleh satu orang guru dan lima belas orang peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh berdasarkan kritik dan saran dari validator tersebut dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk perbaikan produk yang dikembangkan dan secara kuantitatif yaitu berdasarkan skor lembar validasi serta angket respon guru dan peserta didik. Skor yang diperoleh pada lembar validasi adalah 4,3 dengan kriteria valid. Sedangkan uji kepraktisan rata-rata persentase yang didapat adalah 85,4% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Jadi, dihasilkan E-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika kerajinan tangan anyaman bambu pada materi bangun datar kelas VII SMP yang validddan praktis. Kata kunci: E-LKPD, Etnomatematika, Kerajinan Tangan Anyaman Bambu, Bangun Datar Abstract: Mathematics is important and useful in everyday life. However, the fact is still found that some students consider mathematics to be quite a difficult subject, so they do not like mathematics. One way to overcome this is the use of interactive teaching materials that link woven bamboo handicrafts. Therefore, the development of E-LKPD based on ethnomathematics was carried out on plane geometry. The aim of this study was to determine the process and the results of the validity and practicality of the developed product. This research was conducted using the R&D (Research and Development) method with a 4D model. This research was carried out only until the third stage, namely the developt. Data collection techniques were carried out using validation sheets and questionnaires for teacher and student responses. Validation was carried out by two experts and the practicality test was carried out by one teacher and fifteen students. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively, namely based on criticism and suggestions from the validator for product improvement developed and quantitatively, namely based on the score of the validation sheet and the teacher and student response questionnaires. The score obtained on the validation sheet is 4.3 with valid criteria. While the practicality test the average percentage obtained is 85.4% with a very practical category. Thus, an E-LKPD based on ethnomathematics of woven bamboo handicrafts was produced on a valid and practical class VII junior high school in plane geometry material. Keyword: E-LKPD, Ethnomathematics, Bamboo Woven handicrafts, plane geometry

Abstract

The literature has shown that emotional intelligence can control a person's rational decision-making and also contribute to mathematical problem-solving. There have been many correlational studies investigating the effect of emotional intelligence on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students in Indonesia. This study aims to summarize the effect size values given by the primary study through meta-analysis techniques. Twenty-one primary studies that have been published by journal publishers, theses, and proceedings in the last ten years and meet the inclusion criteria will be analyzed. Data analysis using Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software with the stages of investigating publication bias, random or fixed effect models, and statistical hypothesis testing. Based on the random effects model, the results showed that there was a positive effect of emotional intelligence on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in Indonesia with the category of medium positive effect (r = 0.6; p < 0.01). These results suggest for students and learners to give serious attention to students' emotional intelligence to improve their mathematical problem-solving abilities.   Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Emotional Quotient, Mathematics Problem Solving, Meta-Analysis.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya yakni bagian dari cara yang dipersepsikan bisa menciptakan pembelajaran matematika bermakna dan kontekstual yang sangat terkait dengan budaya. Kegiatan penggalian dan pemaknaan matematika melalui budaya tersebut dikenal dengan etnomatematika. Etnomatematika dipakai untuk menggali nilai-nilai matematika dan konsep geometri pada pola gerak tari Baksa Kembang. Tujuan penelitian ini guna mengetahui konsep geometri yang diterapkan dalam bermacam-macam pola gerak tari Baksa Kembang. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi mengenai gerak tari Baksa Kembang serta instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari instrumen utama yaitu peneliti sendiri dan instrumen bantu berupa pedoman wawancara dan observasi serta alat dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang dipakai yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, untuk teknik keabsahan data yang dipakai yaitu triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada setiap pola gerak tari Baksa Kembang menerapkan konsep geometri di dalamnya. Konsep geometri berupa geometri dimensi satu tergambar dari pola lantai berbentuk garis lurus dan dimensi dua tergambar dari bentuk pola lantai berbentuk segitiga, transformasi geometri refleksi dan rotasi, serta sudut yang diterapkan yaitu sudut lancip dan sudut tumpul. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, gerak tari Baksa Kembang, konsep geometri. Abstract: Mathematics learning that is based on culture is one technique that is thought to be able to make mathematics learning more relevant and contextual. Ethnomathematics is the process of extracting and interpreting mathematics through culture. Ethnomathematics was utilized to study mathematical values and geometric notions in the movement patterns of the Baksa Kembang dance. The goal of this research is to understand which geometric principles are used in Baksa Kembang dance forms. This study took a qualitative method with ethnographic research as its focus. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and recording of Baksa Kembang dance motions, with the researcher serving as the primary instrument, as well as auxiliary instruments such as interview and observation guidelines, and documentation tools. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drafting were the data analysis methods employed, with data validity determined using the triangulation method. Every Baksa Kembang dance movement pattern contains the concept of geometry, according to the findings of this study. The first dimension is formed from the floor pattern in the form of straight lines, while the second dimension is derived from the triangular-shaped floor pattern, the transformation of reflection and rotation geometry, and acute and obtuse angles are used. Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Baksa Kembang dance moves, geometric concepts.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan yang dilakukan siswa di beberapa SMP Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Kecamatan Kayuagung dalam menyelesaikan soal persamaan linear satu variabel berdasarkan pemahaman konsep. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah lima siswa SMP Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Kecamatan Kayuagung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: partisipan mengalami kesulitan dalam indikator membuat model matematika ini dikarenakan partisipan tidak mengetahui bentuk model matematika, partisipan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengoperasikan perkalian, penjumlahan, dan pengurangan dalam soal tersebut, dan partisipan mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami informasi dalam soal. Kata kunci: kesulitan, pemahaman konsep, penelitian kualitatif, siswa SMP, persamaan linear satu variabel Abstract: The goal of this study is to learn about the difficulties that students have in solving linear equations with one variable at some SMP Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Kecamatan Kayuagung based on their understanding of the concept. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. This study included five students from SMP Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Kabupaten Kayuagung. The instruments used in this study are a written test and interview. The instruments used in this study are a written test and interview. The study's findings revealed that participants had difficulty creating a mathematical model because they did not know the form of the mathematical model, participants had difficulty operating multiplication, addition, and subtraction in this case, and participants had difficulty understanding the information in the question. Keywords: difficulty, understanding of concepts, qualitative research, students of SMP, of linear equations one variable

Abstract

Kajian mengenai dampak model pembelajaran kooperatif kepada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik banyak dilakukan dengan berbagai variasi hasil penelitian. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode meta analisis untuk mendeskripsikan besar pengaruh dari model pembelajaran kooperatif kepada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan karakteristik studi berupa tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif, jenjang pendidikan dan materi yang diajarkan. Data diperoleh melalui proses seleksi yang memenuhi standar inklusi tertentu. Software yang dapat membantu adalah Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA). Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa: (1) Model pembelajaran kooperatif berpengaruh besar kepada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dengan nilai effect size sebesar 0,917 pada kategori efek besar; (2) Besarnya dampak pengaplikasian model pembelajaran kooperatif berdasarkan tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif dimana model Probing promting dan CRH mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat besar dibandingkan tipe lainnya; (3) Besar dampak pengaplikasian model pembelajaran kooperatif berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan lebih berpengaruh pada jenjang SMA dibandingkan pada jenjang SMP dengan nilai effect size sebesar 1,097 pada kategori efek besar; (4) Berdasarkan materi yang diajarkan, pengaruhnya berada pada kategori efek besar dengan pelajaran yang sangat berpengaruh adalah barisan dan deret. Kata kunci: Meta analisis, model pembelajaran kooperatif, kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis Abstract: Studies on the effect of cooperative learning models on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts have been carried out with various variations of research results. This study uses a meta-analysis method to describe the large influence of the cooperative learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts with study characteristics in the form of cooperative learning model types, levels of education and the material being taught. Data were obtained through a selection process that met certain inclusion criteria. Software that can help is Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA). Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that: (1) The cooperative learning model has a large effect on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students with an effect size value of 0.917 in the large effect category; (2) The magnitude of the effect of the application of cooperative learning models based on the type of cooperative learning model where the Probing prompting and CRH models have a very large effect compared to other types of cooperative learning; (3) The effect of the application of cooperative learning model based on education level is more influential at senior high school level than junior high school level with an effect size value of 1.097 in the large effect category; (4) Based on the material being taught, the effect is in the category of large effects with the most influential material being rows and series. Keywords: Meta Analysis, Cooperative Learning, Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran flipped classroom pada mata kuliah geometri transformasi pada porgram studi pendidikan matematika FKIP ULM. Data penelitian merupakan hasil survei pada kelas yang melaksanakan flipped classrom menggunakan instrumen kerangka Williams and Eggert (2002) dan Lew et al. (2016)  , kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan skala likert dan kategorisasi dan prosentasi. Kesimpulan (1) mahasiswa setuju mengikuti perkuliahan selalu memperhatikan penjelasan dosen, (2) Pemrosesan kognitif pada umumnya dapat berlangsung dengan baik akan tetapi mahasiswa masih ragu-ragu dapat memikirkan materi perkuliahan, (3) Mahasiswa setuju bahwa mencatat materi perkuliahan penting, di samping juga mahasiswa memberikan garis bawah atau warna dan memberi komentar untuk dipelajari pada persiapan ujian tengah semester atau ujian akhir semester, (4) Mahasiswa meninjau pemrosesan setelah kelas selesai dengan cara melengkapi catatan, memberikan komentar pada buku catatan, akan tetapi mahasiswa masih belum membuat flashcard untuk belajar.  Kata kunci: Flipped Classroom, geometri Transformasi, kerangka Williams and Eggert Abstract: Contents are typed with Arial Narrow font, size 11, Justify, italic, and single spaces. Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of flipped classroom learning in the geometry transformation course in the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP ULM. The research data is the result of surveys in classes that carry out flipped classes using the Williams and Eggert (2002) and Lew et al. (2016), then the data were analyzed using a Likert scale and categorization and percentage. Conclusions (1) students agree to attend lectures always pay attention to the lecturer's explanation, (2) Cognitive processing in general can go well but students are still unsure about being able to think about lecture material, (3) Students agree that taking notes on lecture material is important, besides students provide underlines or colors and provide comments to study in preparation for midterm or final semester exams, (4) Students review processing after class is over by completing notes, commenting on notebooks, but students still haven't made flashcards for study . Keywords: Flipped Classroom, Transformation geometry, Williams and Eggert framework
