Abstract

Teaching learning process is a very important aspect in university education system. The method of student in learning a subject depends on the method of lecturer in teaching their student. In fact, teaching learning process in class has usually never been evaluated by the lecturer. Lecturer generally evaluates only student’s examination results. Evaluation of student’s examination result indicates that the quantity of student who passes the examination and the quality of their achievement index are very low. The aim in this teaching grant activity is to improve the quality of teaching learning process. Benefit expected from this activity is to improve the quality and quantity of student’s graduation in Mathematics 1st subjectThe activities are started with the preparation of instructional material in the beginning of semester. The components are Outline of Lecture Instruction (GBPP), Set of the Lecture Event (SAP), teaching contract, assignment documents, mid term and final examination documents, and lecture note. In one semester intercourse, based on the result of mid term examination, lecturer is performing personal approach to the unsatisfactory student. The evaluation result of student’s answer sheet is also returned as part of teaching learning process. Assignment counselling is also conducted for the student in class to improve their competence by involving them. It certain intercourse, questionnaires is given to student as the source of information for the lecturer to evaluate his teaching learning processThe results of teaching grant activities show that by improving teaching learning process, the quality and quantity of graduated students in Mathematics 1st subject are also improved.

Abstract

In the interests of regional development, regional development and improvement of the economy has made many changes and conversion of areas in South Sumatra. Over this function especially for the area as the capital of Palembang, South Sumatra Province occur in lowland areas, especially wetlands. Regions that experienced the greatest change in Palembang, namely in the area of Jakabaring. Jakabaring area converted into international sports facilities Jakabaring Sport Center, athlete housing, shops, offices, recreation and pemukimanan population such as housing Ogan Permata Indah (OPI). This marsh land conversion has consequences for water infiltration and runoff water in wetlands, it is necessary to balance the OPI retention pond soil conditions of the region.For that conducted the study in order to obtain the determination of flood control and inundation scenarios in the study site of the present and future. Abstract

In metalurgy term, especially the steel should have certain characters, for example anti wear resistancause of friction and has hard surface. Getting such components within their characters, it is need a heat treatment process in addition for getting hard surface and strength of the steel itself. Heat treatment process basically consists of some steps, at first, heating up to a certain temperature, then colding at certain speed.In this research has been done heat treatment process, it is a heating steel at the temperature 8500C and holding for 30 minutes at this temperature for some seconds, then colding by soaked it into the water in which 270C temperature so there is no enough time for austenit to change become pearlit and ferrit or pearlid and cementit, but austenit changes into martensit directly.Maximum hardness will be reached after heat treatment process is interfered by more carbon, the higher carbon in it the higher hardness will be gotten. And the result is the hardness value after heat treatment process higher compare than before the heat treatment process has been done..

Abstract

Biogas is a compound formed from the decomposition of organic substances in anaerobic condition, the main constituent of biogas is methane and carbon dioxide, biogas can be used as fuel or otto cycle engine with diesel. In this study, the use of biogas from the landfill Cahaya Kencana then to gasoline motor generator sets using this type with a capacity 1kVA four steps that have been previously modified in order to be able to use biogas, but no purification process before being used as fuel. This study aims to determine the purification process biogas to be used as fuel biogas, conversion techniques on gasoline motor generator set in order to use biogas, gain settings on the carburetor and faucet pipes that optimum flow generator sets can be well lit, and the last to know Performance generator sets that have been modified to use biogas.The study was conducted by first making biogas purification devices and modifications to the intake manifold insulator and then test generator sets generator sets that have been modified, test levels and the CO2 content without purification, and the final Performance test generator with power loading.Purification levels of carbon dioxide in the biogas use in the activation CaCO3, then modifications made to the generator set that perforate the insulator and then embed napple ¼ inch and spliced using hoses and given tap ¼ inch, biogas purification flowed through the device then accommodated using plastic bags before being drained towards the generator set. The results of research that the levels of carbon dioxide in the biogas without purification ie 21614 ppm, and biogas through a purification process that is 9103 ppm. While opening the tap biogas for ½ the power load of zero to a light load (350W), while the full biogas faucet openings at medium load (650W) to full load (~ 80% of the capacity of the generator). Abstract

Subak is organization with aim to to arrange irrigating as well as possible. There is three target which wish to be reached is prosperity of economics of the member, pacification of mind and also management of going concern water and with vision of environment. Target of this research is to determine factor of SWOT of execution of subak as one of the rural irrigating organization which have good enough pattern as one of [the] organizational alternative of P3A in in perpective isn't it. Strength of subak determined by tying bounce very strong for official member and religion public spirited member. Activity of agribisnis is good enough opportunity, if subak can exploit the opportunity. Weakness of organization of subak is activity of processing of marketing and result so that opportunity of effort the agribisnis more exploit by entrepreneur of more private sector of professional.

Abstract

Product quality of a production process can not be separated from several other factors, including the planning and machining processes, which take place during the machining process there is interaction between the chisel work with the workpiece, the workpiece is cut off and the chisel work experience friction. As a result of this friction chisel wear out. Tool wear will be enlarged to a certain extent so that the cutting tool can not be used anymore. The length of time to reach the wear limit is defined as the tool life. Data on tool life is greatly needed in the planning process of machining a product. This study aims to determine the price constants (CT) and exponent (n) Taylor tool life equation in Turning Process with carbide Sculpture and Objects Work St 42, St 60 and Iron Castings and to determine the relationship between the input variables and the response variable from the observed process .The method used to determine the constants and exponents Equation Age Sculpture Taylor is a statistical method, while the statistical method is selected Linear regression analysis method to the calculation method of least squares or Least Squares Method. The study was conducted by observing the cutting conditions, where the cutting speed is varied the cutting speed ; v (m / min) selected three levels of cutting speed (v) is v1 = 37.68 m / min, v2 = 36.11 m / min, v3 = 34.54 m / min. Motion feeding also varied; f (mm / output) while eating the selected motion refers to the ability of the chisel is used and specification capabilities of the machine, the greater the speed selected eat, f1 = 0.25 mm / r and; f2 = 0.30 mm / r. Depth of Cut ; A (mm) made constant. Depth of cut selected; a = 1 mm.Getting research results, for the material St. 42 with f = 0.25 mm / put in can be CT = 65.92, n = 0.1737 are for f = 0.3 mm / put in can be CT = 72.4, n = 0.217. For Material St.60 with f = 0.25 mm / put in can CT = 57.5 n = 0.1482 are for f = 0.3 mm / put in can be CT = 47.68 n = 0.107. For material Iron Castings with f = 0.25 mm can be CT = 45.6 n = 0.107 are for f = 0.3 mm can be CT = 44.175 n = 0,103. The increase in cutting speed (v) is proportional to the occurrence of edge wear (VB). And at the same pace of growth will increase the wear edge is proportional to the time of cutting. The addition of the cutting speed and depth of cut motion meal will still result in the increase of the chisel edge wear so that tool life will decrease. Abstract

Murdha is an ornament lain on the top of Balinese traditional buildings which are generally functioned for religious and spiritual activities. This article discusses about the interpretation of symbolic meaning of murdha ornament. The method applied in this study is hermeneutic and using some approaches, such as: formal approach, religion concept approach, mythology, community belief, and comparison with other ornaments which have similar values with murdha. The finding shows that murdha is closely related to heaven as the final destination of the human’s soul after his death on earth.

Abstract

Indonesia has risk to get a flood event every year since big intensity rainfalls occur every year. Some waterworks will ‘be required to anticipate from it. The flood design number should be available. One of method which mostly used to be applied is unit hydrograph. Unit hydrograph concept firstly is defined by Sherman in 1932. It still be developed by many researchers to get any unit hydrograph basin both actual unit hydrograph and synthetic unit hydrograph. Since the characteristics of some unit hydrograph basin are specifics, researches to discover any unit hydrograph the basin are significant. This research attends to obtain the representative unit hydrograph of Bedog basin in Yogyakarta province. The result shows characteristics of representative unit hydrograph are depend on rainfall intensity due to its distributions and the flood hydrograph figure.

Abstract

Dalam limbah cuci foto rontgen (limbah fixer) terkandung logam berat Fe dalam jumlah di atas nilai standar mutu limbah cair. Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecepatan dan waktu pengadukan dalam proses penyerapan logam berat menggunakan arang aktif. Langkah pertama yang dilakukan dalam proses adsorpsi adalah memasukkan limbah fixer  100 mL ke dalam erlenmeyer yang sudah berisi 10 gram arang aktif. Kemudian erlenmeyer tersebut diaduk pada kecepatan aduk 30 rpm. Campuran tersebut kemudian diaduk selama 15 menit, 30 menit dan 45 menit dan didiamkan selama 3 jam.  Mengulangi langkah ini untuk kecepatan pengadukan 60, 90 dan 120 rpm. Setelah proses adsorpsi selesai, kemudian menganalisa banyaknya logam Fe yang terserap dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer pada panjang gelombang disesuaikan. Perlakuan juga diulangi dengan adanya pemanasan. Semakin besar kecepatan pengadukan, lama waktu kontak dan pemanasan yang digunakan semakin meningkat penurunan kadar Fe karena proses penyerapan adsorbat oleh adsorben menjadi lebih baik. Penurunan kadar Fe terbesar terlihat pada kecepatan pengadukan 90 rpm dan waktu aduk 60 menit di mana parameter Fe yang terkandung dalam sampel adalah 0,24 mg/L.

Abstract

The concept of sustainable development is how a development can be conducted without going beyond the capacity of natural support for current and future life. Environmentally-aware residential planning and occupancy-worthy should support the hygiene and comfort of the environment, supporting environmental preservation. All are shown in the case study on a residential area along Kuin river, Banjarmasin. The problem is how the concept of residential planning that involves the preservation of the function and balance of the living environment inside an ecosystem should be established. The planning objective is to establish a residential development which involves spatial planning which considers ecological concept. The target of the residential planning is to use the land in accordance with support capacity, area, avoiding environmental degradation, creating a balance living environment, comfortable environment, interesting and processing identity.The approach and planning strategy being used are planning concept with ecological consideration based on relationship between living creatures and their environment, and planning concept based on cultural and natural resource management. The residential planning concept is directed to the concept of natural resource ecosystem and built environtment that is site planning and environmental consideration of the site. The conclusions of research are that rivers in urban scale is included in urban open space, the river banks are lack of vegetation, residential housing along river banks to increase river pollution level, alternatives on new building material are necessary due due to the scarce availability of local timber.
