Indonesian Language Education and Literature is a journal of research publication. The scopes of this research are Indonesian language and literature teaching, either as the first, second, or foreign language. Abstract

Preposisi merupakan elemen penting yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan berbagai hubungan antar kata, seperti hubungan tempat, waktu, tujuan, serta kondisi tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penggunaan preposisi an dalam bahasa Jerman dan maknanya dalam bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan kerangka tipologi bahasa. Dengan mengadopsi pendekatan Government and Binding (GB), penelitian ini mengidentifikasi penggunaan an, seperti tipe verba, kasus, dan semantik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kasus akkusativ dengan orientasi arah (Richtung) dan peran kasus dativ dengan orientasi posisi (Position) memengaruhi makna pada preposisi an di dalam bahasa Indonesia. Analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan erat antara kasus gramatikal, arah semantik verba, dan makna preposisi an. Pada kasus akkusatif, an cenderung digunakan bersama verba yang mengarah pada suatu tujuan, sehingga menandakan arah gerak atau sasaran suatu tindakan. Sementara itu, pada kasus dativ, an lebih sering muncul bersama verba yang menunjukkan posisi, sehingga berfungsi untuk menunjukkan lokasi atau tempat. Dalam padanannya dengan bahasa Indonesia, preposisi an memiliki makna yang serupa dengan kata “di” atau “ke” (untuk konteks arah) serta “di” atau “pada” (untuk konteks posisi). Walaupun terdapat perbedaan struktural antara kedua bahasa, makna dalam kalimat tetap menggambarkan hubungan yang konsisten antara tindakan dan lokasi, baik dalam bentuk pergerakan maupun keberadaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya teori linguistik deskriptif dan mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Jerman, khususnya dalam memahami preposisi an serta penyusunan bahan ajar tata bahasa yang relevan.The Preposition an in German and Its Meaning in IndonesianPrepositions are important elements used to indicate various relationships between words, such as relationships between places, times, purposes, and certain conditions. This study aims to describe the use of the preposition an in German and its meaning in Indonesian based on a language typology framework. By adopting the Government and Binding (GB) approach, this study identifies the use of an, such as verb type, case, and semantics. The results show that the role of the accusative case with a directional orientation (Richtung) and the role of the dative case with a positional orientation (Position) influence the meaning of the preposition an in Indonesian. The analysis shows a close relationship between grammatical case, the semantic direction of the verb, and the meaning of the preposition an. In the accusative case, an tends to be used with verbs that direct a goal, thus indicating the direction of movement or the target of an action. Meanwhile, in the dative case, a more often appears with verbs that indicate position, thus functioning to indicate location or place. In its Indonesian equivalent, the preposition an has a similar meaning to the words "di" or "ke" (for directional contexts) and "di" or "pada" (for positional contexts). Despite structural differences between the two languages, sentence meaning consistently reflects the relationship between action and location, both in terms of movement and presence. This research is expected to enrich descriptive linguistic theory and support German language learning, particularly in understanding the preposition an and developing relevant grammar teaching materials.

Abstract

Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) menjadi semakin relevan di tengah dinamika keberagaman budaya dalam pendidikan, termasuk di Indonesia. Namun, penerapannya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia masih relatif jarang dikaji secara mendalam, terutama dibandingkan dengan mata pelajaran lain seperti sains dan matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendekatan CRT dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 5 Seunagan, Kabupaten Nagan Raya, Aceh. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis dokumen. Subjek penelitian mencakup satu orang guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VIII.3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan pembelajaran berbasis CRT telah dilakukan dengan sangat baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui integrasi budaya lokal ke dalam modul ajar dan keterpaduan dengan nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila; (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung secara inklusif. Hal ini dapat diketahui dengan guru memberi ruang bagi siswa untuk berbagi pengalaman budaya serta memanfaatkan media berbasis budaya lokal; dan (3) evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui metode proyek yang memungkinkan ekspresi kreatif siswa dalam konteks budaya. Namun demikian, keterlibatan siswa dalam merumuskan kriteria penilaian masih terbatas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CRT berkontribusi positif terhadap terciptanya pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang lebih kontekstual, inklusif, dan bermakna. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pentingnya pelatihan CRT bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia serta perlunya dukungan pengembangan modul ajar berbasis kearifan lokal dari pemerintah. Selain itu, perencanaan remedial dan evaluasi yang lebih adaptif terhadap keberagaman budaya siswa perlu diperkuat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang berkeadilan.Culturally Responsive Teaching Approach in Indonesian Language LearningThe Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach is becoming increasingly relevant amidst the dynamics of cultural diversity in education, including in Indonesia. However, its application in Indonesian language learning is still relatively rarely studied in depth, especially compared to other subjects such as science and mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CRT approach in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 5 Seunagan, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh. This study applies a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research subjects included one Indonesian language teacher and students in grade VIII.3. The results of the study indicate that: (1) CRT-based learning planning has been carried out very well. This is demonstrated through the integration of local culture into the teaching modules and integration with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile; (2) the implementation of learning takes place inclusively. This can be seen in the teacher providing space for students to share their cultural experiences and utilizing local culture-based media, and (3) learning evaluation is carried out through a project method that allows students to express their creativity in a cultural context. However, student involvement in formulating assessment criteria is still limited. These findings indicate that the implementation of CRT positively contributes to creating more contextual, inclusive, and meaningful Indonesian language learning. These findings imply the importance of CRT training for Indonesian language teachers and the need for government support for the development of local wisdom-based teaching modules. Furthermore, remedial planning and evaluation that are more adaptive to students' cultural diversity need to be strengthened to improve the quality of equitable learning.

Abstract

Teacher competency plays a crucial role in enhancing educational quality, yet many Indonesian pre-service teachers struggle to translate pedagogical theory into effective classroom practice. This study analyzed classroom implementation among pre-service Indonesian language teachers participating in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG). Using a descriptive-qualitative design during the 2024 PPG performance test (UKIN) in Central Java, data were collected from lesson plans and classroom observations of 18 participants aged 21–25. Teaching performance was evaluated using a validated rubric covering seven competencies: greeting and rapport, lesson setting, activating prior knowledge, engagement and motivation, creating a positive environment, introducing new concepts, and managing time and pacing. Results indicate strong performance in creating positive learning environments (77.8%) and setting lessons (72.2%), while activating prior knowledge (44.4%) and time management were the weakest. The findings reveal a persistent gap between theoretical knowledge and practice. Theoretically, the study reinforces microteaching and classroom management frameworks by illustrating how pre-service teachers operationalize basic teaching competencies. Practically, it provides evidence-based implications for improving PPG training through targeted exercises in knowledge activation, pacing, and student-centered pedagogy, helping teacher educators design more responsive and practice-oriented preparation models.Menciptakan Praktik Pengajaran yang Efektif: Analisis Implementasi di Kelas pada Guru Prajabatan Bahasa IndonesiaKompetensi guru memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, namun banyak guru prajabatan di Indonesia kesulitan menerjemahkan teori pedagogis ke dalam praktik kelas yang efektif. Studi ini menganalisis implementasi di kelas di antara guru bahasa Indonesia prasekolah yang berpartisipasi dalam Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG).  Menggunakan desain deskriptif-kualitatif selama uji kinerja PPG (UKIN) tahun 2024 di Jawa Tengah, data dikumpulkan dari rencana pembelajaran dan observasi kelas 18 peserta berusia 21–25 tahun.  Kinerja mengajar dievaluasi menggunakan rubrik yang divalidasi yang mencakup tujuh kompetensi: sapaan dan hubungan, pengaturan pelajaran, mengaktifkan pengetahuan sebelumnya, keterlibatan dan motivasi, menciptakan lingkungan positif, memperkenalkan konsep baru, serta manajemen waktu dan kecepatan.  Hasil menunjukkan kinerja yang kuat dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar positif (77,8%) dan mengatur pelajaran (72,2%), sementara mengaktifkan pengetahuan sebelumnya (44,4%) dan manajemen waktu adalah yang terlemah.  Temuan ini mengungkapkan kesenjangan yang persisten antara pengetahuan teoretis dan praktik.  Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkuat kerangka kerja mikro-pengajaran dan manajemen kelas dengan mengilustrasikan bagaimana guru pra-jabatan mengoperasionalkan kompetensi dasar mengajar.  Secara praktis, ini memberikan implikasi berbasis bukti untuk meningkatkan pelatihan PPG melalui latihan yang ditargetkan dalam aktivasi pengetahuan, pengaturan kecepatan, dan pedagogi berpusat pada siswa, membantu pendidik guru merancang model persiapan yang lebih responsif dan berorientasi pada praktik.

Abstract

Evaluasi hasil belajar melalui Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS) perlu dianalisis untuk memastikan kualitas instrumen soal yang digunakan dalam mengukur kompetensi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, dan keberfungsian pengecoh soal UAS Bahasa Indonesia di SMA Negeri 1 Torjun. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif analitik. Data diperoleh dari kisi-kisi soal dan lembar jawaban siswa kelas XII melalui aplikasi bimasoft, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dan aplikasi bimasoft. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas dilakukan menggunakan program SPSS, sementara analisis tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, dan pengecoh dikerjakan secara manual.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 40 soal yang dianalisis, hanya 24 soal yang valid. Reliabilitas tes dinyatakan baik dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha 0,780 yang menunjukkan konsistensi instrumen. Analisis daya beda memperlihatkan 3 soal kategori baik, 13 soal sedang, 7 soal cukup, dan 6 soal buruk atau gugur. Tingkat kesukaran menunjukkan 13 soal sukar, 7 soal sedang, dan 6 soal mudah. Analisis pengecoh mengungkapkan 13 soal memiliki pengecoh yang berfungsi baik. Sehingga dapat dikatakan, instrumen soal UAS Bahasa Indonesia di SMA Negeri 1 Torjun cukup reliabel namun masih banyak soal yang perlu direvisi karena tidak valid atau memiliki daya beda rendah. Soal yang terlalu sukar maupun terlalu mudah perlu disesuaikan agar lebih representatif dalam mengukur kemampuan siswa. Penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi guru dan pengembang soal untuk memperbaiki kualitas instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran sehingga hasil penilaian lebih adil dan akurat.Culturally Responsive Teaching Approach in Indonesian Language LearningEvaluation of learning outcomes through the Final Semester Examination (UAS) needs to be analyzed to ensure the quality of the question instruments used to measure student competency. This study aims to analyze the validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor functionality of the Indonesian Language UAS questions at SMA Negeri 1 Torjun. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical design. Data were obtained from the question grids and answer sheets of grade XII students through the bimasoft application, then analyzed using SPSS and the bimasoft application. Validity and reliability tests were carried out using the SPSS program, while the analysis of the difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractors was done manually. The results showed that of the 40 questions analyzed, only 24 questions were valid. The test reliability was declared good with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.780, which indicates instrument consistency. The discrimination power analysis showed 3 questions were categorized as good, 13 questions were moderate, 7 questions were sufficient, and 6 questions were poor or failed. The difficulty level showed that 13 questions were difficult, 7 questions were moderate, and 6 questions were easy. The distractor analysis revealed that 13 questions had functioning distractors. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Indonesian Language Final Exam (UAS) instrument at SMA Negeri 1 Torjun is quite reliable, but many questions still need revision due to invalidity or low discrimination. Questions that are too difficult or too easy need to be adjusted to more accurately measure student abilities. This research is useful for teachers and question developers to improve the quality of learning evaluation instruments so that assessment results are fairer and more accurate.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendokumentasikan leksikal botani melalui kajian etnosemantik. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk melalui proses analisis masalah, mendesain dan mengembangkan suatu produk sebagai solusi terbaik, menilai kualitas produk, dan mengujicobakan produk yang dikembangkan.  Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak 9 November 2024 hingga 28 April 2025. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah ensiklopedia dengan pendekatan etnosemantik. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli: 1) desain ensiklopedia sudah menarik, 2) pemilihan font sudah tepat, 3) penerjemahan lema, penulisan lema bahasa asing dan bahasa daerah sudah tepat. Berdasarkan hasil validasi pengguna yaitu siswa dan guru, ensiklopedia ini memenuhi aspek keterbacaan dan aspek kemenarikan tampilan. Isi ensiklopedia memenuhi kriteria validasi data dan isi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, ensiklopedia ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi. Ensiklopedia ini menjadi materi pembelajaran teks berbasis budaya, memahami kata sulit, dan pengembangan kota kata baru.Encyclopedia of Botany: An Ethnosemantic StudyThe purpose of this research is to document the botanical lexicon through ethnosemantic studies. The design of this research is research and development. The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research produces products through the process of problem analysis, designing and developing a product as the best solution, assessing the quality of the product, and piloting the developed product. This research was conducted from November 9, 2024, to April 28, 2025. The resulting product is an encyclopedia with an ethnosemantic approach. Based on the results of expert validation: 1) the design of the encyclopedia is attractive, 2) the font selection is correct, and 3) the translation of lemmas, the writing of lemmas in foreign languages, and regional languages is appropriate. Based on the results of user validation, namely students and teachers, this encyclopedia meets the readability aspect and the attractiveness aspect of its appearance. The content of the encyclopedia meets the criteria for data and content validation. Based on the results of this research, this encyclopedia can be used as a reference. This encyclopedia is a material for learning culture-based texts, understanding difficult words, and developing new word cities.
