Abstract

This study aims to identify the actual condition of the UD. Supra Dynasty Denpasar in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and redesigning the layout based on the results of the study as a recommendation. This study used a descriptive method, namely by providing objective explanation, comparison, and evaluation as a decision making authority. Data was collected through observation and interviews at the company. Data are collected, then the method of analysis From-To Chart is used to find the amount of raw materials that flow load (material flow) required in the production process in one day. Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) is used to get the layout planning based on the degree of linkage between space activities and existing facilities. All data have been collected was analyzed by using software Unequal Area Facility Layout Problems (UA-FLP) to facilitate the determination of optimum results. The Table of Productivity Cycle Time is used to determine the increase or decrease in productivity after relayout. The result showed that the new layout of the company could shorten the distance of material flow from 119,5 to 76,039 meters, and increasing the productivity was about 61,68%. Abstract

This study aimed to (1) determine the effect of drying temperature and size pieces on the characteristics of aloe vera leaves tea, (2) determine the drying tempereture and size pieces of aloe vera leaves te to obtain a good characteristics of tea. The method of this study was a split plot design. Temperature was primary or plot treatment consist of four plot were 60°(±5)C ,70(±5)°C, 80(±5)°C, 90(±5)°Cand size pieces was a split treatment consist of two size ( 100 mm³ and 200 mm³). Observed variables were antioxidant activity, total phenolic, extract content and ash content. Data obtained were analizedby microsoft office exel 2007. The result showed that drying temperature and the size of the chunks effect on antioxidantactivity, total phenolic and extract content but has no effect on ash content. the higher the drying temperature, and the larger the size of the pieces resulting antioxidant activity and total phenolic content decreases but extract content increases. The best treatment is aloe leaf tea with a drying temperature of 60°C and a size of 100 mm³ pieces that have antioxidant activity 17.03% and 26.54 g GAE/100g.

Abstract

The research aims were to determine the influence of washing and boiling time on the chlorpyrifos residue levels of the long beans, to determine the level of preference for long beans after washing and boiling treatment, and to determine the best washing and boiling time to reduce chlorpyrifos insecticide residue and with favorite characteristics long beans result. This research used randomized block design with factorial pattern. The first factor (washing time) consisted of 3 level namely without washing, 10 and 20 seconds process time, and the second factor (boiling time) consisted of 3 level namely without boiling, 5 and 10 minutes process time. Each treatment grouped into 3 groups based on the time implementation. Samples tested objectively and evaluation sensory to determine the best treatment. The results residue showed that washing and boiling time effect on the levels of insecticides chlorpyrifos and characteristic of long beans. Sensory evaluation preference on taste and overall acceptance in the long bean, washing treatment 20 seconds with boiling 10 minutes, resulting in long bean with flavor favorite and overall acceptance rather preferred. The 20 seconds washing time with boiling 10 minutes was the right treatment to produce a drop in levels of the chlorpyrifos residues, amounting 0.0022 mg/kg and characteristics preferred by the value of the flavor 6.25 (like), the texture of 4.60 (soft), the color of 4.10 (green bit old), and a 5.30 overall acceptance (rather like)

Abstract

This study aimd toknowthe effect of addition of magnesiumsulfate heptahydrate and ferric chloride in Blue Green Medium-11 on the production biomass of Tetraselmis chuii and tofine out the concentration of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and ferric chloride on Blue Green medium-11 which could produce the highest biomass of Tetraselmis chuii. The Experimens was designed by a completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial pattern two factors were designent in the experient. The first factor was magnesium sulfate heptahydrate addition which was consist of three levels i.e. 0, 2, and 4g/L. The second factor was ferric chloride addition which was consist of three levels i.e. 0, 12, and 24 µM. Experiement was repeated twice times to obtain 18 units experiment. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and if the treatment significantly affected the parameter followed by Duncan test. The addition of magnesium sulfate heptahydrat e4g/L producedin the highest biomass concentration of 4.4x10 6 cells/ml while the addition ferric chloride 24 ?m produce the highest biomass concentration of 4.3x10 6 cells/ml.

Abstract

This study aimed to isolate microbe indiegenous. Samples will takes of soil that has been contaminated by pesticides in Bedugul area. In addition, experiments conduct to determine resistance isolates at high concentrations profenofos. The result of the research showed 6 isolates. Isolates with IPP 02 code, was good growth on Mineral Salt Peptone Yeast medium with 200 ppm concentration profenofos. Keywords : isolation, screening, idiegenous

Abstract

The experiment was carried out to determine the effect of amyloglucosidase concentration and temperature of saccharification process on the characteristics of liquid sugar and to find out the best characteristics of liquid sugar from yam potato starch. This study used a split plot experimental design with two treatment factors. The main plot was the saccharification temperature which consists of three levels, namely 55°C, 60°C and 65°C. Amyloglucosidase enzyme concentration as the subplot consisted of three levels ie 1500 U/kg of starch, 2500 U/kg of starch and 3500 U/kg of starch. In this experiment obtained 9 combinations for each experiment was repeated 2 times and obtained 18 experimental units. The results of liquid sugar were then analyzed their moisture content, ash content, degree of sweetness, and sensory test color. The results showed that the addition of enzyme amyloglucosidase with different concentrations significantly affected the degree of sweetness and gave a very significant effect on the color of liquid sugar and no significant effect on moisture content and ash content. The difference treatment of saccharification temperature significantly affected the water content, the degree of sweetness and color and no gave significant effect on ash content of liquid sugar. Interaction between treatments significantly affected the degree of sweetness, very significant effect on the color and no significant effect on moisture content and ash content of the resulting liquid sugar. The treatment with the addition of enzyme amyloglucosidase with concentration of 2500 U/kg starch and temperature of saccharification 55°C produced the best characteristics of liquid sugars from starch of yam potato is the best characteristics with moisture content (57.63%), ash content (0.66%), the degree of sweetness (48.00°Brix), and sensory test color (2.13

Abstract

The aim of this study was to reduce ammonia contamination, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Total Suspended Solid (TSS) in the waste water effluent of IPAL using biofilter system. The biofilter system was made of glass tubs containing filter media such as gravel, sand, and zeolite withthickness of 30 cm each. Among filter media was laid by fibers with a thickness of 5 cm. This laboratory scale biofilter system was used to conduct experiment which was design by using a simple randomized block design (RBD). The treatment experimented was the flow rate of wastewater which was consist of four levels, namely 50, 100, 150, 200 ml/min. The results showed that wastewater flow rate variation significantly affected decreasing levels of organic contaminants.The slower rate of wastewater flow haved the faster of time needed to reach steady state conditing. The optimum flow rate to reduce level of organic contaminants of domestic wastewater was 50ml/min. The effectiveness of decreasing the ammonia, COD, BOD, and TSS 91.42%, 74.77%, 52.95%, and 72.76%.

Abstract

The aims of this study were 1) to find out the distribution line of long beans (Vigna sinensis L.) that produced in Baturiti to Denpasar, 2) to find out post-harvest handling in each distribution line that is passed and post-harvest handling that has been done, 3) to determine the marketing and profit margin of each distribution from Baturiti to Denpasar. This study was using survey method. This study showed that there were 6 distribution line of long beans from Baturiti to Denpasar and all lines had experienced in sorting and grading on the collectors and traders. The highest marketing margin was Rp 8.000/kg and the highest profit margin was Rp. 6.805/kg which were found in line 4 (farmer-collector-seller-retailer-customer). Meanwhile the lowest marketing margin was Rp.4.250/kg and the lowest profit margin was Rp.3.685/kg which were found in line 1 (farmer-seller-customer)
