Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the ratio of the erosion value of the usle methods in the Lawo watershed (2) to plan soil and water conservation in the Lawo watershed. This research is based on mapping which is classified as non-experimental research using survey method. The erosion value was predicted using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) model. The results showed that land use in the Lawo watershed was secondary forest, plantation forest, dry land agriculture, dry land farming mixed with shrubs, shrubs, settlements and open land. The total erosion value for the USLE method is the average erosion that occurs. in the lawo river basin, namely 30948352.27 tonnes / year tonnes / year. Lawo watershed recovery plan in the form of land use patterns to reduce the rate of erosion, namely agroforestry dry land farming, while for settlements in the form of infiltration wells, enrichment of plants for plantation forest land use, refinement of bench terraces on paddy land use and terracing use accordingly the field, as well as reforestation and planting of land cover for the use of shrub land.

Abstract

Abstract : In 2017, the government designated Kuranji Beach West Lombok as the Sea Turtle Corridor Essential Ecosystem Area (KEE Kuranji).  This is intended to protect the existence of sea turtles in the area. However, the practice of catching and trading sea turtles and or parts of the sea turtles and turtle eggs is still rampant by the people around the area. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct a study with the aim of evaluating the efforts to protect turtles in the KEE of the sea Turtle Corridor, Kuranji Village, West Lombok. This study describes descriptively on the protection of turtles in terms of preemptive, preventive and repressive efforts. This research was conducted from July to August 2019 with data collection using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the effectiveness of turtle protection in the Kuranji Village area was still low, both at the preemptive stage to raise public awareness, supervision was still minimal (preventive), and there were no efforts to take action against violators (repressive). Based on the search result, there is no data on prosecution for violations of turtle use in the 2017-2019 period, while the results of field observations and interviews with the community show that during this period the practice of selling turtle eggs was rampant.

Abstract

enormous benefits from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. This contribution was inversely proportional to the trend of changes in the area of HKR, which had decreased. The reduction in the area of HKR was closely related to the socio-economic conditions of the farmers. The purpose of this study is to conduct a socio-economic analysis of HKR management in Maros. This research was conducted in the community candlenut forest area in Maros Regency, including villages with community candlenut forest, including Labuaja, Laiya, Limapoccoe, Rompegading, and Cenrana Baru. This study indicated that there had been a change in the community's social and economic activities in managing the candlenut forest in Maros. Communities tended to focus their livelihoods on cocoa and coffee commodities meanwhile reduce land use for candlenut. The change above is evidenced by the value of community dependence on the candlenut commodity of 35.09%.
