Abstract

Toothache is a disease commonly experienced by humans, therefore must be treated immediately to prevent serious impact. One of the initial treatments is to consult a dental expert. Current technological developments have been able to transform an expert's knowledge into a digital form called an expert system for easy and fast access. Currently, most expert systems are based on the web and Android/iOS platforms. The development of an expert system based on web applications or Android/iOS faces several challenges. The challenge is that it requires a lot of development time and costs because it has to develop an interface and requires a server with good performance. The challenge faced from the user's side is that more storage space is needed to install an expert system on smartphones. The solution proposed in this study is to develop an expert dental disease diagnosis system using the Breadth First Search Method based on instant messaging. One of the most popular instant messaging in Indonesia is LINE Messenger. This research succeeded in developing a dental disease diagnosis expert system based on LINE Messenger that is easily accessible and capable of diagnosing diseases with an accuracy rate of 90.9%.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, developments occur in all aspects, one of which is the economy. One of the developments that occurred in the modern era was the emergence of minimarkets as shopping centers to replace markets. Minimarket provides convenient shopping facilities for customers. But minimarkets still have problems where there are long traffic jams on certain days or hours, thereby reducing the time efficiency of customers. Another problem that arises is that customers do not know the stock availability of the goods before coming to the minimarket. Therefore a system was developed that can check the availability of goods and make purchases automatically remotely. The system built using Arduino Mega and ESP as the brain tool, the sensors used are limit switches and IR sensors. The drives used in this study are the wiper motor as the x-axis driver and the power window motor as they drive. The servo motor is used as a driving force for the room door and for moving food to fall. In the study, the results obtained at the time of taking food were carried out 12 experiments in which the results of the tool could take food according to the input received from the application. In the experiment of taking goods, it was carried out with 12 experiments where it was found that the tool was able to take goods according to the input data received from the application and to the point of collection. The power consumption required in this design is 35.7 watts on standby, 42.84 watts when taking food, and 113.68 watts when the appliance is moving. Abstract

Sending data with large data sizes between two or more computers in a company is affected by various factors, both the network connection of the two computers to the data exchange method used, one method that can be used is the ZeroMQ library. The method of sending files using the ZeroMQ method is relatively faster because the architecture is brokerless or without middleware as an intermediary so that the process of sending files can be done quickly and can blow up the resources used. The ZeroMQ method was originally created to send messages, but we can add file conversion algorithms to binary numbers, so the messages sent are binary numbers from encoded files. This application is built on the Python programming language so that it is easier to develop again. The results of the design of file transfer applications using the ZeroMQ library performed on two server computers and client computers explain that this method can be used to send files and from the results of the test the time required and the latency value is relatively faster and more stable.

Abstract

A Rate of Change of Frequency (ROCOF) relay works based on rate of frequency changes (df/dt) that is a direct indicator of power unbalance between generation and demand. The df/dt indicator make ROCOF relays have a promising opportunity for under frequency load shedding. Examining the performance of the proposed ROCOF relay scheme for under frequency load shedding become the research objective. The proposed scheme consists of five load shedding steps and they were supervised by Under Frequency Relay (UFR) to avoid mal-operation due to short circuits. The scheme was assessed using generation loss simulation with contingency of N-1, N-2 and N-2-1 with Digsilent Powerfactory. It is found, for N-1 and N-2 contingencies, the proposed scheme provide better frequency results and faster than UFR scheme. However, there is a problem with the sensitivity of the scheme that is adjusted by delay setting. For light to medium power of generation loss, the required delay is relatively large to obtain the true df/dt value from the measured df/dt that tends to oscillate. However, for severe generation loss, the large delay setting causes the relay to be less sensitive hence a small proportion of the relays do not work at all expected steps.

Abstract

The process of describing parts of the human body, to be able to find any disease that exists in the body parts caused by bacteria and viruses is called the Medical Image. CT Scanning, MRI, X-Ray, is a medical image that is commonly found in general in the form of analog data. The amount of important information contained in medical images causes the size of the medical image file to be relatively large. The need for large data storage media and long delivery times is caused by large medical image data. This study aims to realize a fractal-based medical image codec by testing its performance on several coding entropy techniques. The analysis of this study was based on the PSNR, Image Size and Time Taken needed to compress one image. The conclusion obtained from this analysis shows that the Arithmetic method has more advantages in the field of PSNR, Compression Ratio, Size Image produced along with Time Taken in the compression process, where 15 images of 100% images are better results using the Arithmetic method than by using the Adaptive Huffman method. Abstract

Abstract— Thermoelectric power plants are solid state devices that provide direct energy conversion from thermal energy due to a temperature gradient into electrical energy based on the "Seebeck effect", working by converting heat energy into electricity directly. In "Design of Thermal Generator with the Utilization of Heat Exhaust from Motor Replica". The test uses 4, TEP1-142 T300 in series, the test is carried out in several stages, namely no-load testing, the highest voltage obtained reaches 8 volts at (?T) the temperature difference between TH and TL 31 oC, the temperature is TH 65 oC and the temperature TL 34 oC. then using a load of 5 watt led lights experiencing a voltage drop, the maximum voltage is 5 volts with the power obtained 0.41 watts at 0.07 amperes, the test uses a boost converter, the voltage is as stable as 5 volts, where the thermoelectric voltage is V-in. must get a voltage of 3 volts. In this test the thermoelectric generator generates electrical power which is influenced by the temperature difference between TH and TL where the TL temperature must be lower than TH to get high power, the temperature at TL must always be maintained, therefore a good temperature cooling radiator is needed at TL, which is not more than 40 oC, the power generated can only turn on a 5volt lamp with a power of 0.34 watts which is very small because the number of thermoelectric modules also affects the power produced, the advantage in this test is that we can take advantage of the exhaust heat of motorized vehicles.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. During the dry season, the weather gets hot so AC technology (Air Conditioner) technology is really needed by the people of Indonesia. Every day, air conditioners are often used to cool the air, so the use of air conditioners is very routine in the dry season. Ac needs to be maintained regularly so that the AC is not easily damaged. Ac is divided into two parts, namely indoor and outdoor. Indoor and outdoor are connected through copper pipes which are freon gas lines. Freon gas will be pumped through the outdoor using a compressor engine to suppress the flow of freon gas so it flows into the evaporator section of the indoor and the compressor will suck the freon gas again to the condenser section on the outdoor because the compressor is the most important part in the air conditioner, the compressor must be routinely maintained by knowing the amperage performance on the compressor. So the purpose of this research is to monitor the performance of the compressor. This monitoring is done by installing a LANCAR (broken air conditioner notification service). LANCAR has three parts, namely electronics as a tool to detect compressor performance amperes, applications as notification media as well as for monitoring compressor amperes and database as compressor amperage data storage. Electronics used such as NodeMCU esp 8266, current sensor, vibration sensor and 1 channel relay module. These parts will be connected to the IoT (internet of things) system where the device is able to provide notifications when the compressor is damaged and the amperage data on the compressor will be stored in a database so that it can later be seen by the AC owner.

Abstract

Abstract— Most of the power plants use fossil energy sources, while fossil energy has several undesirable effects. To overcome this, it is necessary to develop in electricity that is by using renewable energy as a source of electrical energy. Some examples of electrical renewable energy sources used are solar energy and wind energy. Renewable energy as electricity generation can be developed using a microgrid concept, generation with more than one power plant. The combination of different types of power plants is often called a hybrid power plant. One example is a hybrid power plant with a smart microgrid network system at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, which has been operating since 2017, which is a collaboration between Udayana University and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). This smart microgrid requires a study of the energy supply system of the power generation in order to know its performance to serve the DH building load. The study will analyze the data in October 2018. Research results show that smart microgrids cannot fully meet the electricity load in October 2018. The electrical energy load of 4330 kWh DH building is supplied by PLTS 333,383 kWh, PLTB 121.07 kWh, and supply of 803.57 batteries. kWh The shortage of electrical energy from the microgrid system is supplied by PLN by 1591.7 kWh and when overproduction, PLN can get energy from the 541 kWh microgrid. Battery charging energy is 1894.38 kWh. The use of renewable energy in the DH building reached 63.24%. Keywords— Microgrid, PLTS, PLTB, Battery

Abstract

Information System of Kesiman Kertalangu (SIKEKAL) is a system implemented in the Kesiman Kertalangu Village as a solution to facilitate the accommodation of population administration services. To measure and evaluate the performance of the system used it is necessary to conduct an audit using the COBIT 4.1 framework, which in this case is focused on measuring the maturity level of the SIKEKAL system based on aspects of the DS (Delivery and Support) domain, especially in the subdomains of DS5, DS10, DS11, and DS13. This evaluation process also aims to provide recommendations for problems found in the system to be able to be improved in achieving the maturity target to be achieved by the Kesiman Kertalangu Village Office.

Abstract

Abstract - This study aims to statistically analyze the parameters of acoustic phonetic features, namely: pitch, formant and intensity as indicators of psychological pressure from a person's lying or honest voice. The strength of this research is using the "true experimental" model and assessing a person's lying / honest voice in real time parallel to the polygraph test. The study was conducted on 6 subjects (3 couples) which were divided into 2 groups, namely the control group that was not treated, and the treatment group who received treatment with instructions to take money in a wallet on the table and was asked to lie not to take the money in question. . Voice samples are the answers to “No” to the relevant and comparison questions on the examined subjects on the polygraph test. The Praat software was used for feature extraction and data analysis using SPSS with the Paired Samples T Test and the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test for different tests. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of acoustic phonetic features, a scoring system is proposed by setting a score (+1) when the results of Ho's statistical analysis are accepted (Sig value> 0.05) or in other words there is no difference between the formant, intensity and pitch values of the answer to the word "no" to the comparison question. with the answer to the word "no" in the relevant question. And vice versa set a score (-1) when the results of statistical analysis Ho is rejected (Sig value <0.05) or in other words there are differences in the value of formant, intensity and pitch of the answer to the word "no" to the comparison question with the answer to the word "no" to the relevant question. The final conclusion is that the total score (+) indicates honest and the total score (-) indicates a lie. Based on the total value of statistical analysis, the formant features are known to be very significant for detecting someone's lies, because in this study they have a 100% probability of successfully detecting lies, while the intensity and pitch features are less significant for detecting lies because they only have a 66.666% probability of successfully detecting lies 33.333%.
