Abstract

The research aims to find out the level of simantri implementation based Bali cattle and crops and the factors that influence was conducted in Selumbung and Manggis villages, Manggis district, Karangasem regency from January to May 2013. Research site were selection using the purposive sampling method, even though respondents determination by the census method. Study used 37 farmers as respondents who are all simantri group members of Selumbung and Manggis villages. Study were used primary and secondary data and measurement of variables using 5 level scale (Singaribum and Efefendi, 1989). Therefore, to determine the relationship of the factors research methods the researcher used courses Spearmen Correlation Coefficient (Siegel, 1977) and to find out the difference of the implementation level, knowledge and attitudes using the Mann Whitney test (U Test). These results were indicated that the level of application-based Simantri Bali cattle and crops in Selumbung Village better  than in Manggis Village, knowledge and attitude variables  have the marked differences between respondents in Selumbung Village and Manggis village. Knowledge factors, attitude and ages have relationship to application-based simantri in Selumbung village. In Manggis village only knowledge factors that have a relationship with the applications.

Abstract

This study was conducted in April 2012 using secondary data that is the result of the project the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) AH 169/2006 on the cheap and effective biosecurity for broiler farmers sector 3 in Indonesia, meaning that the people who carry out farm biosecurity is limited. This study aims to calculate how much income and the value of R / C ratio in broiler farmers in Selan Bawak Village, District Marga, Tabanan regency. The number of farmers involved as many as 20 people each is a partnership of PT. A 11 people and PT. B 9 people. Data were analyzed by using methods of Financial Analysis. The results showed that the average total cost for broiler livestock business partnership is Rp 89,932,378 (A) and Rp92.854.805 (B), the BEP units = 1.379 tail (A), 1,380 individuals (B). Total revenue for the (A) Rp96.068.455 and (B) Rp 99,881,523. When the price per kg of live chickens in the contract is Rp 13.486 (A) and Rp 13 167 (B) then the revenue obtained is Rp 6,136,076 farmers partners A and B are Rp7.026.718. Based on the analysis of broiler livestock business with the partnership in the period March 10 to April 15 in 2012 showed a farmers partnership benefits A and B. Is evident from the results of the R / C ratio for plasma farmers A and B show the value of> 1 that is equal to 1.07 and 1.08. It means that the broiler livestock business with a decent partnership to be developed.

Abstract

The study is titled replacement elephant grass with rice straw as an energy source supplemented Gliricidia leaves as a source of Rumen Degradable Protein (RDP) on body composition Bali cattle. The experiment was conducted in groups of cattle Wibuh Mandiri, banjo Tangkeban Batuyang Kangin village, Sukawati, Gianyar district, conducted over 12 weeks from 22 July 2011 until 14 October 2011. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 4 treatment diets with three weight groups as replicates. Variables measured were body composition, ie body water content, body fat, body protein and fat retention. Body composition was determined by means of urea space (Rule et al., 1986). The results showed that the replacement of grass with rice straw as a source of energy up to 30% with 30% leaf suplentasi gamal, does not give a significant effect on body water content, protein content of the body and body fat content of Bali cattle. The higher content of rice straw and Gliricidia leaves ration causes increased fat retention

Abstract

Research on the effect of ration with Metabolic Energy and Crude Protein levels on the ration to the percentage of 30 weeks’ female chicken carcasses and internal organs which held in Peguyangan Kaja village, North Denpasar, Bali Province. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments with the content of the ration Metabolic Energy (ME) 3100 kcal / kg and Crude Protein (CP) 22 % (treatment A) and treatment B, C and D by using Energy Metabolic and Crude Protein and for each treatment received 3000 kcal / kg and 20 % ; 2900 kcal / kg and 18 % ; 2800 kcal / kg and 16 %. Each treatment received four replications with the result that there are 16 units of the experiment. There are 48 chickens were used in the research. Variables observed in this study were heavily cut, carcas weight, carcass percentage, liver percentage, heart percentage, lymph percentage, and kidneys percentage. Then, the data were analyzed with analysis of variance, if there is a difference between the real treatments (P<0.05) then followed by the Duncan's Multiple Range Test according to Steel and Torrie (1989). The results showed that administration of rations with a proportion of Crude Protein and Metabolic Energy (3100 kcal / kg and 22 % (140,90); 3000 kcal / kg and 20 % (150) ; 2900 kcal / kg and 18 % (161,11) ; 2800 kcal / kg and 16 % (175)) did not really different (P>0.05) to heavily cut, carcass percentage, internal organs percentage such as the liver, heart, lymph and kidney in 30 weeks’ female chicken. The conclusion the effect of energy ration and protein ration is the influence of metabolizable energy and protein ration of 3100 kcal / kg and 22% (140.90) gives slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and the percentage the better lower kidney of the treatment ration metabolizable energy and protein with 3000 kcal / kg and 20%; 2900 kcal / kg and 18%; 2800 kcal / kg and 16%.

Abstract

The research on the level of application of cow manure composting technology applied by the farmer had been undertaken from the 1st December 2010 until 30th of April 2011. The aim of this research is to set some understandings on how far is farmer could deal with cow’s manure to be composted in the village of Mangesta, district of Penebel, Tabanan Regency. There were some factors of influence the farmers in dealing with the cow’s manure to be compost. Thus the specific aim is to prove on the relationship of some factors such as; knowledge, attitudes, the purpose of processing the cow’s manure to be compost, the amount of cattle they own and the range of area the occupy. The data were collected from two kind of respondents i.e. the farmer group members and not group members. The farmers group member as respondents of this study taken by census method. Each of kinds of respondents has an amount of 20 farmers. Thus, the respondents were 40 farmers. They were all come from the village of Mangesta. The method use to analyze some different factors such as; knowledge, attitude, purpose in relation to how far farmer the farmer deal with the cow’s manure between to the group members and not belong to group members is the method of Wilcoxon’s Rank Sum Test. The methods used examine the relation of some free variables with the level of technology applied by the farmer in dealing with the cow’s feces (Siegel, 1997). The result of the research showed that the level of technology applied between those of group member and those out of the group member has the unreal relations. To Those of group members in deal in relation of some free variables such as; knowledge and purpose of processing the cow’s manure statistically, has a highly (P<0.05) miss the level of cow’s manure composting technology applied by the farmers in the village of Mangesta. However the range of area occupied and amount of cattle owned have a significant relation (P<0.05) with the level of cow manure composting technology applied by the farmers in the village of Mangesta. To those out of the group in relation with variables such as knowledge, attitude, and the purposes together with the range of area owned has a significant relation (P<0.05). Whereas the variables of the amount of cattle owned has a very significant relation (P<0.01) with the level of cow manure composting technology applied by the farmers in the village of Mangesta.
