Abstract

This paper presents electrical power distribution network reliability. Reliability is one of the most critical factors of a network operating system that is supported. Several things become essential parameters in determining an index that complements the distribution system, namely SAIFI and SAIDI. This research is able to know about the high levels obtained by the distribution system at the Wates substation. With this analysis, it is expected that this will become a reference for improving service quality in the coming year. Based on the results of calculations and analyses that have been done, it can be said that the distribution system at the substation has been reliable, because all feeders have met the standards set by the SPLN, IEEE, and WCS, especially the WT 05 feeder meets the standard.

Abstract

Electric Railway (KRL) is a train that is based on eletrification system. The electrification system in the KRL supplies electrical energy to the train locomotive and several other carriage units, so the train can run. Electrical energy can be either AC or DC source. There are two electrical systems to support the performance of KRL, propulsion system and auxiliary system. The propulsion system is a driving system and than the auxiliary system is the system that handles the electrical load on KRL. In this research, discuss about the loss of propulsion system on KRL LAA Electric DC, AC Traction Motor. The propulsion system consists of several components, such as pantograph, circuit breaker, capacitor filter, IGBT VVVF inverters and AC traction motors. The component has different losses and different efficiencies. There are five test conditions for AC traction voltage inputs of 160.5V, 321V, 493.9V, 635V and 645V. By calculating using equations, from the five test conditions it can be seen that the propulsion system has the lowest power loss with the highest efficiency at the input voltage of AC 635V traction motors, which obtained the power loss of inverter VVVF IGBT 41.996kW with the efficiency 90.67% and the power loss of AC traction motor 18.219kW with the efficiency 91.45%.

Abstract

At this time controlling electrical equipment in the form of fans and lights are still mostly using conventional switches. By using an android voice command device with a bluetooth connection, controlling the equipment can be easier. Using a Bluetooth connection will reduce the use of cables and speed up the process of activating or deactivating electronic devices because they do not have to get close to reach the switch. With input in the form of voice commands is very easy in controlling electronic devices such as fans and lights. With the adjustment of the fan speed and brightness of the lights with voice commands can save electricity and more easily in its settings

Abstract

Among several types of cancer, lung cancer is regarded as one of the most common and serious. In this respect, early diagnosis is required and beneficial to reduce mortalities caused by this type of cancer. Such diagnosis is typically performed by doctors through manual examinations on X-Ray images. However, manual examinations are labor extensive and time consuming. In this paper, we conduct a study to analyze the performance of some computer-based lung cancer diagnosis algorithms. The algorithms are built using different feature extraction (gray-level co-occurrence matrix, pixel intensity, histogram and combination of the three) and machine learning (Multi-layer Perceptron and K-Nearest Neighbor) techniques and the performance of each algorithm is compared and analyzed. The result of the study shows that the best performance of lung cancer classification is obtained by the computer algorithm that uses the combined features to characterize lung cancer and subsequently classifies the features using Multi-layer Perceptron.

Abstract

This paper presents the performance of the electrical power distribution network under dynamic loading. The performance of a distribution system can be seen from the power losses generated by the network. If the power losses are low, then it can be said that network performance is excellent. Another parameter is the distribution network voltage profile. The voltage profile is significant in the distribution network. A very long distribution line will cause a voltage drop at the end of the network. This condition is very undesirable, so efforts must be made to improve the distribution network voltage profile. The method for correcting the voltage profile is by installing capacitors or reconfiguring the network. In this study, an evaluation of the performance of the distribution network at PLN Temanggung was conducted. The results showed that several network points experienced below-standard voltage drops. Therefore it is recommended to install power capacitors or reconfigure the networks.
