Abstract

Limited number of microscope in a school become an obstacle to learning process, including to do anobservation to structure and function of tissue, especially from plants. This research discussed aboutplant tissue. Most students considered that this material was difficult due to limited number ofmicroscope and limited textbook information. Students became bored since the learning material wasdone only by listening and noting teachers’ explanation. The learning process suppose to make themactive, one of the alternative was by Numbered Head Together (NHT). The limited number ofmicroscope can be handled by the picture in picture puzzle. The purpose of this research was toanalyze the effectiveness of NHT with picture puzzle to the activity and learning outcome of studenstin plant tissue structure and function material. This research used pre-experimental with One ShotCase Study. The analysis of data included quantitative data to students’ activity, learning outcome,students’ opinion, and descriptive analysis to teacher’s opinion. The result of this research showed that91% of the students became active and very active. 82% of the students were also passed the score.Teacher and students gave positive reviews to the learning process. Based on the learning outcome, itwas concluded that the cooperative learning of NHT with picture puzzle was effective in increasingstudents’ learning activity and outcome in plant tissue function and structure material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe of applying Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) model in cellmaterial for students result. This study used Quasy Experimental research by Non-Equivalent ControlGroup design. Sample is determined by convinience sampling, that is class XI MIA 3(control class) and XIMIA 4 (experimental class). The result of this research show that learning using AIR in experimental class ishigher than with control class. Analysis of pretest and posttest examine t of tcount 7,426>ttable 1,988 withsignificant level 0,05, so it can difference of increase study result in both class. Examine N-Gainexperimental class 84% in high category, and control class 41% in middle category. Examine t average NGaintcount 4,80>ttable 1,988. Analysis student activities in experimental class is higher than control classwhich has percentage of very active and active criterias for experimental class 93.18% and 78.57% for controlclass. Analysis of psychomotoric study result in experimental class is 14% in excellent category, 84% in goodcategory, whereas control class gets persentage 5% in excellent category and 71% in good category. Very goodlevel of implementation AIR model with in average 86%. Teachers and students also respond very well toAIR. The conclusion of this study results was apply AIR model in cell material positive effect for studentresult.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop guided inquiry-based students’ worksheet in cell materials forstudents in senior high school. It has the characteristics of valid, readable, and executable. This researchwas a Research and Development (R&D) type. The validity of worksheet was valued by validator andanalyzed using percentage description. The readability of worksheets can be obtained by small scaled tryout to 20 students taken by using purposive random sampling. The executability of worksheets wasobtained by bigger scale try out to 32 students. The result of the research showed that the guided inquirybasedstudents’ worksheets had characteristics of: 1) cell titled worksheets with its observation; 2) theactivities based on syntax model of guided inquiry learning; 3) the material is related to real example; 4)the illustration picture in worksheets was real and 5) the display of worksheet in full color. The averagepercentage of validity to the worksheet was 83.06%. The percentage score of the worksheet was 85.31%with executability of 93.18%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that this worksheet has severalcharacteristics and valid category to be used. It also had good readability and executability to thestudents.

Abstract

The result of observation during the teaching internship program (PPL) show that the teaching and learning activitiesin SMP Mataram Semarang still apply teacher centered learning. Besides, the question and answer session in theteaching and learning activities are still relatively low. Report of the national examination results at SMP MataramSemarang in the academic year 2014/2015 by BSNP indicate that the absorption of students on the material ofaddictive substances and psychotropic is still low at 34,29%. An effort to do is to apply the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the learning modelSnowball throring through Word Square media toward the activity and the result of student’s learning in the materialof addictive substance and psycothropic. This research is a Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design.The results of the study showed that the liveliness of experimental group was 92%, while in the control group was 76%.The classical completeness of cognitive achievement in the experimental group was 88%, while in the control group was48%. The results of t-test showed that there is significant difference on cognitive achievement of the experimental groupagainst the control group. The result of N-gain also showed that the improvement in cognitive achievement of theexperimental group was higher than the control group. The classical completeness of affective achievement of theexperimental group was 92%, while the control group was 80%. It can be concluded that the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media is effective toward the activity and the results of student’s learning in thematerial of addictive substance and psychotropic. So, Snowball Throwing through Word Square media can bepractice on the material of addictive substance and psychotropic and other material that have same problem.

Abstract

Teachers and students have difficulty in observing protist spesies. The basic competence 3.5 oblige thestudents to apply the principle of protist grouping classification carefully and systematically. Therefore, thereshould be a media of culture protist along with its way and the students’ observation worksheet for protists.This research is aimed to develop the valid and effective culture media of protist for class practice activities inProtist Material. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method. Small scale trials weredone to 10 students using purposive random sampling. Big scale trials were done to 64 students. The validityof protist culture was scored using validity sheets by validator, then was analyzed in percentage description.The effectivity score of protist culture media was obtained based students’ processing skills score. The result ofthe research showed that protist culture media was considered valid by experts with the average score of90,1%. The observation of students’ skills showed that both classes of the research has classical grade of85,3% and 87,1%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that protist culture media with its guidance andstudents’ observation worksheet was valid and effective to be used by Senior High School students.

Abstract

This study would analyze the effectiveness of JAS learning with media education card of biodiversity onbiology learning outcome of students at SMAN 1 Limbangan. This is a Quasi-Experimental study byNonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were six classes’ students of grade Xin the odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year. The sample was taken by purposive sampling, X 5 andX 6 as experimental classes and X 2 as the control class. The results of the analysis showed the average ofcognitive learning outcomes in experimental class is 85,42 with learning completeness of 91,89%, whilethe control class is 70.7 with learning completeness of 26.47%. Psychomotor learning outcome ofexperimental classes is 82,43. Affective learning outcome of the experimental class is 74,32. In general,teachers and students also responded very well to apply learning. This study concludes that the NaturalExploration Learning (Jelajah Alam sekitar / JAS, Indonesia) model with the education card is effectivefor learning outcomes of students at SMAN 1 Limbangan.

Abstract

Learning video is proven to increase students learning experiences. The contextual approachrelates learning materials with the situation around the students and encourages them to apply theirknowledge. The reproductive system concept is closely related to the real life. This research would developa valid, feasible and effective learning video based on Contextual Teaching and Learning. The researchwas conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Rembang. Subjects in this research were 83 students. The resultsshowed validation scores by media experts and content experts are 83.33% and 91.67% with very validcriteria. The Results of teacher and student responses showed average scores of 93.75% and 86%respectively with very good criteria. The result of analysis on students cognitive learning of class XISCIENCES 1 and XI SCIENCES 3 gives average N-gain of 0.63 with moderate criteria. Assessment ofstudents’ attitude of class XI SCIENCES 1 and XI SCIENCES 3 obtained an average score of 95,07%in very high criteria. It can be concluded that the learning video based on Contextual Teaching andLearning on the reproduction system concept developed has been valid, feasible and effectively applied tothe learning of grade XI SMA Negeri 2 Rembang.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan menganalisis kontribusi BSCS5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design dengan desain penelitian pretestt-posttestcontrol group design, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Boja kelas VIII tahun pelajaran 2016/2017dengan sampel kelas VIII B dan VIII D yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Instrumen tesdigunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains, sedangkan tingkat keterlaksanaan sintaksBSCS 5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS diukur menggunakan angket. Berdasarkananalisis data yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ=48,421X + 0,354, koefisienkorelasi antara BSCS 5E Instructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS dengan kemampuan literasi sainssiswa sebesar 0,572 dan koefisien determinasi 0,328. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BSCS 5EInstructional Model dengan pendekatan JAS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasisains siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal dan BSCS 5E Instructional Model denganpendekatan JAS memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri1 Boja Kendal sebesar 32,8%.   The purpose of this study to determine the effect and analyze the contribution of the BSCS 5EInstructional Model with JAS approach towards students science literacy skills. The method used is a quasiexperimentaldesign with pretestt-posttest control group design, whereas the data analysis techniques using simplelinear regression test. This study population are students of SMP Negeri 1 Boja class VIII school year 2016/2017with a sample class VIII B and VIII D were taken by purposive sampling. The test instrument used to measurethe ability of science literacy, while the level of adherence to the syntax of the BSCS 5E Instructional Model withJAS approach is measured using a questionnaire. Based on data analysis that has been done, regression equationY = 48,421X + 0.354, the correlation coefficient between the BSCS 5E Instructional Model with JAS approachwith students science literacy skills amounted to 0.572 and the determination coefficient is 0.328. The resultsshowed that the BSCS 5E Instructional Model with the approach JAS significant effect on the ability of scienceliteracy class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal and BSCS 5E Instructional Model with the approach of JAS havean impact on the ability of science literacy class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Boja Kendal about 32, 8%.

Abstract

Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan metode observasi dapat menciptakan kondisipembelajaran yang aktif, memberikan pengalaman nyata sehingga pembelajaran menyenangkandan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar. Peningkatan tersebut dapat diperoleh denganmengajarkan peserta didik untuk mengenal masalah, merumuskan masalah, mencari solusi danmenguji jawaban sementara atas sebuah masalah dengan melakukan penyelidikan yang ada dilapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan Project Based Learning denganmetode observasi pada materi keanekaragaman tumbuhan tingkat tinggi di SMA Negeri 1Bergas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Experimental Design dengan pola One Shot Case.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Bergas tahun ajaran2015/2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X1, X2 dan X3 sebagai kelas eksperimenyang diambil secara Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas X1, X2, X3mencapai ketuntasan klasikal secara berurutan 87,5%, 87,5% dan 89,2%. Pembelajaran berbasisproyek dengan metode observasi yang meman faatkan lingkungan sekolah dapat membuat siswatertarik dan lebih aktif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa PjBL efektif untuk meningkatkanaktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Tingkat Tinggi diSMA Negeri 1 Bergas.   Project-based learning (PjBL) with observation could raise the active learning, provide a realexperience so as learning would be joyful and give better learning outcomes. The improvement ofactivities and learning outcomes could be obtained by teaching students to identify problems,formulate problems, find a solution and test a hypothesis on specific problems by a field investigation.The study aimed to examine the effect of observation method to students’ activity and students’learning outcomes in the Plant Diversity concept at SMAN 1 Bergas. This study was a One Shot Casestudy by pre-experimental design. The population was the entire class of grade X at SMAN 1 Bergasin academic year 2015/2016. The samples were X1, X2 and X3 as experimental classes. It was foundthat three experimental classes reached classical completeness of 87,5% for X1, 87,5% for X2 and89,2% for X3. PjBL with observation method which utilizes environmental surrounding could raisestudents’ activities. It was concluded that the observation method could improve high school students’activity and their learning outcomes at the concept of Plant Diversity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan pendekatan Science, Environment,Technology, and Society (SETS) berbantu mind mapping pada materi sistem reproduksi manusiaterhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Quasi Experimental Design denganmenggunakan pola pretest-postest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruhsiswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bawang, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelasXI IPA 5 (kelas kontrol) dan XI IPA 6 (kelas eksperimen). Data keterlaksanaan pendekatan SETSberbantu mind mapping diperoleh melalui angket keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh siswa. Data hasilbelajar dalam ranah kognitif siswa diperoleh dari tes materi sistem reproduksi manusia, ranahpsikomotorik dan ranah afektif diperoleh melalui lembar observasi. Data hasil belajar kognitif kelaseksperimen 31,43% siswa mencapai N-Gain kriteria tinggi, 65,72% kriteria sedang dan 2,85% kriteriar endah. Pada kelas kontrol 13,88% termasuk dalam N-Gain kriteria tinggi, 77,78% dengan kriteriasedang dan 8,34 dengan kriteria rendah. Hasil uji t menunjukkan thitung 3,43 > ttabel 1,99, hal inimenunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen. Uji korelasibiserial diperoleh 0,44 yang menunjukkan adanya korelasi dengan taraf sedang dengan angka besarnyakonstribusi pendekatan SETS berbantu mind mapping sebesar 19,7 %.   This final project aims at examining the influence of applying an approach of Science, Environment,Technology, and Society (SETS) assisted by mind mapping on the human reproductive system materialtoward the students learning outcomes. This study used Quasi Experimental Design with the pretestposttestcontrol group design. The population of this study was the students of XI IPA SMAN 1 Bawang,while the sample was the students of XI IPA 5 (control class) and XI IPA 6 (experimental class). Thedata collection of SETS approach assisted by mind mapping was obtained by a questionnaire about thelearning of the students. The result of the study in students cognitive domain was obtained by the testabout the human reproductive system, while the students’ psychomotor and affective domain wasobtained by the observation sheets. The result of the study in students’ cognitive domain of experimentclass 31,4% reach out for N-Gain high criteria, 65,72% moderate criteria, and 2,85% for low criteria.In the control group 13.88% included in the N-Gain high criteria, with the moderate criteria 77.78%and 8.34% with low criteria. T test results showed tcount 3.43> 1.99 t table, it showed significantdifference between control and experimental class. Biserial correlation test showed 0.44 indicatingmoderate correlation with the magnitude of the contribution figures SETS assisted mind mappingapproach was 19.7%..
