Abstract

Website can be made as source and learning medium because of its application in helping students to understand the unprecise material. Web educative is a learning model of distance learning system with the use of IT-based interactive and virtual.The objective of the study as the learning resource was to find out the feasibility and the effectiveness in learning process. The type of the study was Research and Development (R&D). The data of this study were detemined from the feasibility validation of web educative by validator, student’s and teacher’s responses, and the last was student’s achievement. The result of web educative feasibility which was determined from the expert could be said very suitable with the average score 91%. Student’s completeness achievement with the score ≥78 in product trial reached 100% and 93% in application trial. The score 84% showed positive student’s response about this web educative. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the developing of web educative was very suitable to be applied in learning process especially in the material of self defenses; it also proved the effectiveness of this method in student’s achievement.Website dapat dijadikan media dan sumber belajar karena menyediakan banyak aplikasi yang membantu siswa memahami konsep materi yang abstrak. Web educative merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan pemanfaatan TI yang bersifat interaktif dan berbasis virtual. Tujuan pengembangan web educative sebagai sumber belajar materi sistem pertahanan tubuh adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) melalui tahapan identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, revisi produk, uji coba pemakaian, revisi produk dan menghasilkan produk final.. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah kelayakan web educative yang divalidasi validator, tanggapan siswa dan guru mengenai kelayakan web educative dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa hasil penilaian kelayakan web educative dari pakar media dan materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 91% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai ≥78 pada uji coba produk mencapai 100% dan pada uji coba pemakaian 93%. Siswa memberikan tanggapan yang baik dengan ditunjukkan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 84%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa web educative sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dan efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Electronic School Book (BSE) developed by the government has not integrated multimedia contentinto the book. The development of today's technology supports multimedia content for insertion into an electronic book. This is a development research with the aim to develop and determine the feasibility of multimedia book to be used as teaching material. The effectiveness of multimedia book was tested through experiment using a pretest-posttest design study group to see its effect on learning outcomes and student activities. The study population in the trial product was the whole class VII as much as 8 classes (VII A - VII H) SMP 1 Jati. Sample research on small-scale trials by 10 students was determined by purposive sampling technique. Four classes (VII E - VII H) with a total of 138 students were used as experimental samples. The results showed that the multimedia book was suitable as teaching material. Student activities related to the use of multimedia book was high. Improved learning outcomes (gain score) was calculated based on the difference between the value of the posttest and the pretest value. Gain scores achieved by all students was 0.70 (high). Statistically, right-tailed t test confirmed that the student gain scores greater than or equal to the average gain of the benchmark scores of 0.7 (high).Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) yang telah dikembangkan oleh pemerintah belum mengintegrasikan konten multimedia ke dalam buku. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini mendukung untuk penyisipan konten multimedia ke dalam buku elektronik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan multimedia book yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Keefektifan multimedia book diuji melalui eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest group untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Populasi penelitian pada uji coba produk yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 8 kelas (VII A- VII H) SMP 1 Jati. Sampel penelitian pada uji coba skala kecil sebanyak 10 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian pada uji coba skala besar diambil menggunakan teknik purposive cluster sampling menghasilkan 4 kelas (VII E – VII H) sebanyak 138 siswa sebagai sampel eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia book sangat layak. Aktivitas siswa berkaitan dengan penggunaan multimedia book tergolong tinggi. Peningkatan hasil belajar (skor gain) dihitung berdasarkan selisih nilai posttest dengan nilai pretest. Skor gain yang dicapai oleh seluruh siswa sebesar 0,70 (tinggi). Secara statistik dengan uji t pihak kanan menegaskan bahwa skor gain siswa lebih dari atau sama dengan rata-rata acuan skor gain 0,7 (tinggi).

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the test items quality of Regency Biology Olympiad for SMA 2013 in Pacitan, Ponorogo, and Trenggalek regency. The quantitative data are difficulty level, discrimination index, distractor effectiveness, validity and reliability of test items. The qualitative data includes the appropriate test items viewed from the material, construction, and language. The research result shows that 32,5% items test have good quality quantitatively and qualitatively, 8% items test have good qualitity quantitatively but not qualitatively, 23,3% item test have good quality qualitatively but not quantitatively and 63,8 items test not good.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas butir soal olimpiade biologi SMA tingkat kabupaten tahun 2013 di kabupaten Pacitan, Ponorogo dan Trenggalek. Data kuantitatif berupa tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, efektivitas distraktor, validitas dan reliabilitas soal. Data kualitatif penelitian berupa kesesuaian soal dari segi materi, konstruksi dan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 32,5% soal sudah berkualitas baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif, 8% soal baik secara kuantitatif tetapi tidak baik secara kualitatif, 23,3% soal baik secara kualitatif tetapi tidak baik secara kuantitatif dan 63,8% soal masih jelek.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is developing and knowing assess the feasibility of learning media digestive of food system with virtual laboratory in Junior High School. The research was conducted at Departement of Biology Semarang State University and Junior High School 13 Magelang with research design and development (Research and Development /R&D). The Product usage test samples taken by convenience sampling method. Assessment results matter experts and instructional media specialist showed a digestive system media with a virtual laboratory is very fit for use as a media of learning. Teachers responded that the media is very supportive to learning activities of biology. Students in product testing and product usage testing responded very well to the criteria for the use of instructional digestive system media accompanied virtual laboratory. The trial results showed a classical learning outcomes students achieve 86.60%  KKM ≥75. Based on the results of the research study media of digestive system accompanied virtual laboratory fit for use as a media of learning biology in Junior High School.Tujuanpenelitianiniadalahmengembangkandanmengetahuikelayakan media pembelajaransistempencernaanmakanandisertaivirtual laboratory di SMP. Abstract

The change of curriculum raises a number of perceptions which can be devided into two classifications, namely: the affirmative (pros) and the negative (cons). However, there is only a little information about teachers’ perceptions itself. The teachers’ perceptions influence on learning behaviors that are important in determining the success of a curriculum innovation. This research aims to describe the perceptions or the beliefs of Biology teachers to the 2013 Curriculum. This research was a survey to all grade X Biology teachers that conducted at several high schools in Semarang during the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. The total sample was determined by the Isaac and Michael’s formula and they were taken randomly. The data were taken using the instrument of psychological scale questionaire about high school Biology teachers’ perceptions to the 2013 Curriculum. The results showed that 60% of high school Biology teachers in Semarang had a strong belief in the 2013 Curriculum and 40% of the teachers have a moderate belief. The teachers believed that 2013 Curriculum had its benefits, easily implemented and the teachers were able to implement the curriculum.Perubahan kurikulum menimbulkan dua pendapat, yaitu pendapat yang setuju (pro) dan pendapat yang menolak (kontra). Namun, masih sedikit informasi mengenai persepsi atau beliefs dari guru biologi sendiri. Persepsi guru berpengaruh pada perilaku pembelajarannya yang penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan suatu inovasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi atau beliefs guru biologi SMA terhadap Kurikulum 2013.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang dilakukan terhadap guru biologi SMA kelas X se-Kota Semarang pada Semester Genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan rumus Isaac dan Michael dan sampel diambil secara acak. Data diambil menggunakan instrumen kuesioner skala psikologi tentang persepsi guru biologi SMA terhadap Kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 60%  guru biologi di SMA se-Kota Semarang memiliki tingkat persepsi yang tinggi terhadap Kurikulum 2013 dan 40% memiliki tingkat persepsi sedang. Guru meyakini bahwa Kurikulum 2013 memiliki manfaat, mudah dilaksanakan dan guru mampu untuk melaksanakan kurikulum.

Abstract

Learning  context in vocational schools involves a process of acquiring knowledge, lifeskill, skills and attitudes regarding competency to do a task or job. Teaching materials are chosen not only describe the material in detail , but also provide learning experiences according to the learner’s learning abilities. Student’s critical thinking skills can be developed through contextual learning as learning that emphasizes problem solving (Problem Based Learning). This research aims to develop a valid and effective product of the learning modules in the SMK. The design was applied in Research and Development. Initial sample test use purposive random sampling method using a test hiatus. Learning results obtained in field trials achieve implementation classical completeness of 92.30% for X AHP A, 94.73% for X AHP B and 97.36% for X AHP C at a predetermined value KKM is 75. Konteks pembelajaran di sekolah menengah kejuruan melibatkan proses memperoleh pengetahuan, kecakapan, keterampilan dan sikap yang berkenaan kompetensi menyelesaikan tugas atau pekerjaan. Bahan ajar dipilih tidak hanya sekedar memaparkan materi secara terperinci, namun juga memberi pengalaman belajar menurut kemampuan belajar peserta didik. Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dapat dibangun melalui pembelajaran kontekstual seperti pembelajaran yang mengedepankan penyelesaian masalah (Problem Based Learning). Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan modul  dalam proses pembelajaran di SMK. Desain yang diterapkan dalam penelitian adalah One Shot Case Study sebanyak 3 kelas di jurusan Agribisnis Hasil Pertanian. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh pada uji pelaksanaan lapangan mencapai ketuntasan 92.30% untuk X AHP A, 94.73% untuk X AHP B dan 97.36% untuk X AHP C pada nilai KKM yang telah ditetapkan yaitu 75.

Abstract

The purpose of this researchwas to knewthe teaching materials used in Junior High School of YPE Semarang, developed modules suitable with the characteristics of conservation and reasonable used for learning, and knew the effectiveness of the conservation modules on biodiversity material to the student learning outcomes in Junior High School of YPE Semarang. This research used a design research and development , and the trial big scale used design Control Group Pre - test Post - test . The subjects research on product trialwas student of class VII A as the control class and VII B as the experimental class . The results of research showed thatestimation of  the conservation modules development by media expert94 % and material expert 90 % with really reasonable categorized. Positive respons studentto used the results of module development reached 98.8 % , and based on the trial module usage showed that learning outcomes the experimental class higher thanthe control class, classical completeness of the experimental class reached 92 % , while the control class reached 72 % . This research concluded that the development of conservation moduleswasreasonable and effective inbiodiversity material learning.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahan ajar yang digunakan di SMP YPE Semarang, mengembangkan modul sesuai dengan karakteristik konservasi dan layak untuk pembelajaran. serta mengetahui keefektifanmodul konservasi materi keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar  siswa SMP YPE Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain research and development, dan pada uji coba skala luas digunakan rancangan Control Group Pre-test Post-test. Subjek penelitian untuk uji coba produk adalah siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian hasil pengembangan modul konservasi oleh pakar media 94% dan pakar materi 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan hasil pengembangan modul mencapai 98,8% (positif). Berdasarkan uji coba pemakaian modul menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol yaitu ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen mencapai 92%, sedangkan kelas kontrol mencapai 72%. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa pengembangan modul konservasi layak digunakan dan efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi keanekaragaman hayati.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________The purpose of this study was to describe  biology teacher candidates’  attitudes toward teaching professions after their involvement in PPG SM-3T ‘Pendidikan Profesi Guru-Sarjana Mengajar di daerah terluar, terdepan dan tertinggal’, a pilot model of professional  teacher education  in  which teacher candidates  were  to finish two major training programs, a one-year social service program for rural and remote schools as part of character buildings and a one-year at campus professional teacher education as part of academic strengthening programs. A survey design was implemented on all 28 PPG SM-3T participants of first batch, as the entire population of interest. A questionnaire of 30 items was administered on the basis of the component of attitude and distributed to all participants. They were asked to express their belief and attitude toward the four key domains of teacher competencies (pedagogical, personal, social and professional capabilities) as stipulated by the Indonesia Ministry of National Education Decree Number 16 Year 2007. The results showed that a considerable part of the participants (96%) indicated that they had positive professional attitudes toward teachers as profession. Almost 96% of them showed positive attitudes towards pedagogical and professional capabilities, 89% and 93% of them also indicated they had positive attitudes towards personal and social competencies.Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap profesional calon guru biologi terhadap profesi guru setelah terlibat dalam program Pendidikan Profesi Guru Sarjana Mengajar di daerah Terluar, Terdepan dan Tertinggal (PPG SM-3T). Program ini merupakan suatu model yang menuntun calon guru untuk menjadi pendidik  profesional dengan cara menyelesaikan dua pelatihan utama yang terprogram, yakni satu tahun melaksanakan program pengabdian di sekolah daerah 3T sebagai suatu cara membentuk karakter ke-Indonesia-an dan satu tahun melaksanakan  program pendidikan profesi guru di kampus yang merupakan bagian dari penguatan bidang akademik. Metode yang digunakan ialah survey design. Survei dilakukan kepada seluruh peserta PPG SM-3T sebanyak 28 peserta pada angkatan pertama dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa skala sikap. Aitem yang terdapat pada skala sikap sebanyak 30 yang disusun berdasarkan komponen pembentuk sikap dan dibagikan kepada seluruh peserta. Peserta diminta untuk menyatakan kesetujuan/ ketidak setujuannya pada setiap pernyataan yang telah disusun berdasarkan keempat kompetensi guru yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang pendidik. Keempat kompetensi tersebut tertuang dalam Peratuan Pemerintah No 16 Tahun 2007. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta (96%) memiliki sikap profesional positif terhadap profesi guru. Hampir 96% peserta menunjukkan sikap yang positif terhadap kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional, kompetensi kepribadian mencapai 89% dan kompetensi sosial sebesar 93%.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the remedial teaching using analogy on transport mechanism of cell on learning achievement. This research was a quasi experiment using nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population (79) was all science students grade XI at SMA N 1 Gubug who had difficulty in Biology. The number of sample was 65 students. Convenience sampling technique was used to select students for experiment and nonexperiment class. The remedial teaching using analogy was indicated with students activity, students opinion and teacher opinion. The students activity was 81,84% and students opinion was 84%. Teacher had a positive opinion about implementation of remedial teaching using analogy in experiment class, so the remedial teaching using analogy was implementable. Learning achievement of experiment class was higher than nonexperiment class. Learning achievement of experiment class was up to Minimum Passing Grade, but nonexperiment class not yet. There were significant differences of lerning achievement (posttest) between experiment and nonexperiment class. The remedial teaching using analogy on transport mechanism of cell was effective for biology teaching.Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran remidial menggunakan analogi pada materi mekanisme transpor sel terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment, menggunakan rancangan nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. Populasi sebanyak 79 siswa dari seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gubug yang mengalami kesulitan belajar dalam mata pelajaran Biologi pada materi mekanisme transpor sel. Besarnya sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 65 siswa. Penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dipilih dengan teknik convenience sampling. Tingkat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran remidial menggunakan analogi dilihat berdasarkan aktivitas, tanggapan siswa dan tanggapan guru. Rata-rata aktivitas siswa sebesar 81, 48% dan rata-rata tanggapan siswa adalah 84%. Guru juga memberikan taggapan yang positif mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran remidial menggunakan analogi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran remidial menggunakan analogi telah terlaksana dengan baik. Hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. Hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen telah mencapai ketuntasan klasikal, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol belum mencapai ketuntasan klasikal. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar (rata-rata nilai posttest) antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran remidial menggunakan analogi pada materi mekanisme transpor sel berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa..

Abstract

  Abstract This research aims to know the feasibility and the effectiveness of audio media “Characteristics of Organism Song Education” (CHOSEN) in biology subject at SMPLB-A (Blindness). This research was conducted in Semarang State University, SLBN 1 Pemalang, and MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. The research was a Research and Development (R&D) research design and used one group pretest-posttest design. The result of the study showed that the expert of media and material avowed that CHOSEN was proper with an average of 84.9 % feasibility assessment, the average of classical completeness of class was 100 %, students’ responses were good and very good, and the teachers’ responses as much as 88,6% with a very good responses criteria and teachers stated that CHOSEN is feasible to be used in learning biology for blind students. The conclusion of this research is “Characteristics of Organism Song Education” (CHOSEN) media audio is feasible and effective to be used in teaching learning process of biology subject at SMPLB-A (blindness).  AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan dan efektivitas media audio “Characteristics of Organism Song Education” (CHOSEN) dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMPLB-A (Tunanetra). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Negeri Semarang, SLBN 1 Pemalang, dan MTs Yaketunis Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian Research and Development (R&D) yang merupakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan dan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media audio CHOSEN dinyatakan layak oleh ahli media dan ahli materi dengan rata-rata penilaian kelayakan sebesar 84,9%, rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal kelas sebesar 100%, tanggapan siswa baik dan sangat baik, tanggapan guru sebesar 88,6% dengan kriteria tanggapan sangat baik, serta guru menyatakan bahwa media audio CHOSEN layak diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPA Biologi siswa tunanetra. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah media audio “Characteristics of Organism Song Education” (CHOSEN) layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMPLB-A (Tunanetra).
