Abstract

ABSTRACT The Profitability Analysis on the Laying Poultry Farm of UD BS (BIYASE) of Babahan Village, Sub-district of Penebel, the Regency of Tabanan UD BS which located in the village of Babahan, Penebel Sub-district, the Tabanan Regency is one of the laying poultry farms, with number of approximately 60,000 population of chickens. The farm was founded in 1995 and until now it has never been performing a good financial analysis. This study aims to determine the level of profitability, the value of BEP and the public perception on the UD BS. The results of the study showed that the average value of GPM in 2012 and 2013 were 39,55% and 50,61%, the average value of NPM in 2012 and 2013 were 36,35% and 48,16%, the average value of ROA in 2012 and 2013 were 47,99% and 83,72%, and the average value of ROE in 2012 and 2013 were 119,98% and 209,29%. This indicates that the farm business is quite profitable because the level of profitability is above that of the industry average. The average of the BEP units showed that in 2012 it reached to 739.635 eggs and in 2013 amounted to 589.832 eggs, while the average of the BEP of prices were Rp 759.362.414,83 in 2012 and Rp 652.781.310,90 in 2013. The perception of the public who live around the village of Babahan is positive. However, the members of Subak Munduk Lenggung and Subak Bayem think that UD BS has a negative impact for environment, but it has a positive impact on the socio-economic conditions.

Abstract

Abstract The Pattern of Partnership between Heliconia Farmers and Sekar Bumi Farm in Kerta Village Payangan District Gianyar Regency Heliconia is a type of tropical ornamental plant which is often referred to as ornamental banana. Heliconia is one of ornamental plants developed in Payangan District. Heliconia farmers cooperated with Sekar Bumi Farm in provide infrastructure, market access, and could meet production needs for Sekar Bumi Farm so that it can provide benefits for both parties partners. The purpose of this research was  to determine: (1) the mechanisms of partnership, (2) the success of the partnership, (3) the benefits of the partnership, and (4) constraints faced in partnership. Respondents of this research was 40 % of the 72 members of Amerta Jati, Jati Mekar and Jati Mulia farmers group. Data was obtained through observation method, documentation study, and interview using questionnaires. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis were used in this research. The results indicated that (1) Form of implementation is done in partnership with Sekar Bumi Farm using plasma core pattern (2) mechanism of partnership between farmers with Sekar Bumi Farm originated from Sekar Bumi Farm to approach farmers to be willing to partner, creating a cooperation agreement concerning the rights and obligations of each party, and agree on the agreements (3) ratio of farmer’s profit increased before partnering was 0.98 to 1.34 after joining partnership, (4) benefits of the partnership on the technical aspects, namely Sekar Bumi Farm provide information to farmers, the economic aspect is a guaranteedmarket and increasing farm income, and the social aspect that is the desireof continuity of cooperation, and (5) Constraints in the partnership is unstable market prices, harvesting is not on schedule, weather factors affecting production, and the number and role of extension worker of the Sekar Bumi Farm is still less than optimal. Abstract

Abstract Supply Chain Management of Chili Seeds (Case of Idep Foundation, Desa Batuan Kaler, Sub-district Sukawati, Gianyar regency) The purpose of this study is to find out about supply chain management of chili seeds from the producer to the consumer that is conducted and to find out about the efficiency of chili seeds supply chain management on Idep Foundation. The variables analyzed were supply chain and efficiency. There are three indicators in the supply chain variables, namely (1) the pattern of supply chain, (2) marketing margin and (3) the pattern of the value chain. While the efficiency variables consists of two indicators: (1) technical efficiency index and (2) economic efficiency index.Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded that there are six kind of supply chain in Yayasan Idep that include Yayasan Idep as suplier, distributor, and retailer. Lowest supply chain contained in the supply chain that only involving suplier with Rp 5.200,00. While the supply chain that involving distributor and retailer has the same margin in the amount of Rp 6.900,00. The most technically efficient supply chain is the supply chain that involving suplier that is equal to 0 gr/km. While the most economically efficient supply chain contained in supply chain that involving distributor and retailer in the amount of Rp 1,02. Abstract

ABSTRAK Farmers’ Capability in Allocating Costs in Ginger Farming in Taro Village Tegallalang Sub District Gianyar Regency. Ginger (Zingiber Oflnule) is a spice plant potential to be developed because it has a high economic value. Ginger commodity value lies at its root wand called a rhizome. The purpose of this research was to know whether farmers had been able to allocate the costs of ginger farming efficiently, to know the profits of ginger farming and the selling place of ginger. Based on the results of research in the village of Taro, the ginger farming in the village of Taro was not optimal, because the marginal costs were not equal to the average variable costs. It showed that ginger farmers in the village of Taro did not produce efficiently. Ginger farming profits were Rp 150.670.250,00 per an area (38,37 area) of arable land per planting season. The profit of ginger farming obtained, ginger farming in the village of Taro should be maintained because ginger cultivation prospect is very bright. It is centered in traditional markets, swalayan and the people market. The sales some of the farming ginger, because ginger demands are more for household needs, such as for religious ceremonies and traditional medicine. Beside the traditional is a market that is easily accessible by residents. Based on this research are advised to farmers, in order to increase production in the area of arable land is being managed by farmer without killing the plants that have the selling price of high and adjust land that is worthy to be ginger and market department store. Abstract

Abstract The Siam Citrus Farming Development Prospects in the Village of Pupuan, Tegallalang Sub-District, the Regency of Gianyar Indonesia is an agricultural country and it means that farming plays important thing for the overall national economy. It can be seen from the numbers of people who live and work in the agricultural sector or national products which come fromagriculture. Subagricultural sector consists of several sub-sectors, namely food sub-sector, horticulture, plantation, animal husbandry, fishery, and for estryas well as agricultural services. Horticultureis one of the sub-sectors that has huge potential to be developed as aregional and national economic growth. Horticultural crops include fruit trees, vegetables and flowers, which is mostly perishable but it is needed everyday in the fresh condition. Siam citrus is one of the horticultural crops that have good prospects for the development effort. The Gianyar Regency is the second largest citrus producerin the Province of Bali with a total production of 446,757. Results of the study indicated that; (1) Revenues from citrus farming in 2014 was  averagely of Rp 13,708,342.01 per hectare ; (2) The value of R/C Ration of Siam citrus farmin the village of Pupuan, Sub-District of Tegallalang, Gianyar in 2014 amounted to 1.39 ; (3) Constraints experienced by the Siam citrus farmers consisted of two factors, namely internal factors such aspest attack, and external factors such as the marketing of Siam citrus was still conducted through middlemen and lack of transportation facilities to market the production to traditional markets in order togain greater profits.   Abstract Analysis of Promotion Mix Kopi Luwak at UD Cipta Lestari Pujungan Village Subdistrict Pupuan Tabanan Coffee is a kind of beverage derived from the coffee bean processing plants. Coffee classified into the genus Coffea Rubiaceae family. There are three known types of coffee plants in Indonesia including arabic coffee, robusta coffee and coffee Liberika. One of the products processed coffee produced and considered to have a huge business potential in Indonesia even in the world is the civet coffee. Kopi Luwak coffee is produced from the fermentation process through the stomach mongoose or weasel that eats ripe coffee cherries are then removed in the form of feces. This study aims to determine the promotional mix of civet coffee conducted by UD. Cipta Lestari which includes advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations, and direct sales as well as to determine what the obstacles faced by the company in the application of the promotional mix. Methods of data collection in this study using observation, interviews, documentation and literature. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the company has already carried out promotions through all the variables of the promotional mix includes advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing as well as the obstacles faced by companies in the application of the promotional mix namely obstacles on promotional costs and shortages of raw materials. Abstract

Abstract Factors that Plays Role in Consumer’s Decision of Consuming Dancow Instant Enriched Powdered Milk in Denpasar. The purpose of this study was to determine any factors that play a role in the consumer's decision to consuming Dancow Instant Enriched milk powder , the role of indicators to variable, and the role of indicators of consumer’s decision to consume Dancow Instant Enriched milk powder in Denpasar. Data collection method used in this research is interview and documentation study. Method used is quantitative method, where variables are measured with an ordinal scale. The data is then processed using confirmatory factor analysis. Based on the results of this study concluded that the variables that have the largest share of the consumer's decision is variable X4, X2 and X5. X6 has the lowest variable part of the consumer's decision to consume Dancow Instant Enriched milk powder. Indicators of variables X1, X2, X3, X5, and X6 are equally important by 50%. indicator x43 has the biggest role value to variable X4 which is equal to 28.8%. Indicator x81 has the biggest role value to variable X8 which is equal to 42.2%. Indicators that have the biggest role to the consumer's decision to consume Dancow Instant Enriched milk powder  is  indicator x43 with the role value 9.81%. Indicators that have the second biggest role value  is indicator x42 with 9.54%. The role value of  indicators x21 and x22 is equal to 9.18%. Abstract

Abstract The Effort of Subak Preservation in Urban Area (Case Study in Subak Padanggalak, Kesiman Kertalangu Village, Denpasar Timur) The aims of the study are: (1) to examine Subak Padanggalak’s efforts in preserving and sustaining itself for the future on, and (2) to describe the role of goverment and private sector to support the effort in preserving and sustaining Subak Padanggalak. The research location was chosen using purposive method in Subak Padanggalak, Kesiman Kertalangu Village, East Denpasar Sub District, Denpasar. The analysis of this research used a descriptive qualitative method to answer the research questions. Data were collected by using in-depth interviews from eight key informants. The research results show that the efforts made to preserve and to sustain Subak Padanggalak based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy as follow: (a) parhyangan aspects, subak protects, preserves, and mantains the ritual facilities and conducts routinely the subak’s ritual activities not only in subak level but also in individual level, (b)  pawongan aspects, subak makes an agreement to prevent subak land conversion to be non agricultural purposes and also manages irrigation water distribution, and (c)  palemahan aspects, subak regularly arranges the mutual cooperation activities related to natural and environmental conservation, irrigation networks and other physical buildings maintenance, efficient land use management, and provides safety situations in subak. Furthermore, the assistance provided by the government and private sector in the form of financial assistance, counseling, coaching, agricultural extension, and jogging track. Abstract

Abstract Financial Aspects of the Development of Asparagus (Asparagus officionalis) in PelagaVillagePetangSub-District, Badung Regency Pelaga Sub-District Badung Regency is the only asparagus farm development in Bali. This asparagus development program was initiated by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs through OVOP (One Village One Product). Badung Regency Government in cooperation with the Government of ICDF assist in providing product facilities in the form of seeds. This study focused on the financial feasibility of the development of farming asparagus in PelagaVillage based on agro-climatic conditions and constraints faced by farmers in its development. The results showed that from the financial aspects, the farming was feasible to be developed because the Net B / C ratio of Rp 2,21 Net Present Value had positive value of Rp 268.482.779, Internal Rate of Return of 35,87% and the Payback period was 3,7 years. The constraints faced by farmers in the development of the technical aspects of the asparagus farm that is the problem of pests and diseases that attack in the rainy season, from the economic aspect is lack of funds for the production process, and constraints of the social aspect is namely vegetable asparagus tends to only be consumed by the upper middle class society because price is relatively expensive. Abstract

Abstract Analysis of raw material inventory control  cocoa beans Delicacao Bali factory in  the district Tabanan   Raw material availability is very important for the production process, therefore Delicacao Bali factory should be able to determine the amount of optimal raw material inventory. Reduce the cost of inventory in order to keep the production process running smoothly. In this case the company needs to analyze the inventory management to be able to minimize the total cost incurred in the  inventory. This study aims to (1) analyze raw material inventory control conducted by Delicacao Bali, (2) analyze alternative raw material inventory control to be applied,the Bali Delicacao to improve the efficiency of the inventory costs. The method used in the study included (1) Qualitative descriptive method and (2) Quantitative Method. The results of analysis the inventory cost, methods MRP of company policy shows that inventory control policy Delicacao Bali cocoa beans is not optimal. The comparison total inventory costs incurred by the company in 2013 amounted to Rp 19,998,452.00, when using the technique of LFL company can issue a total inventory cost of Rp 8,600,000.00, and cost savings (efficiency) reached 54.93 %. While the techniques EOQ company can issue a total cost of Rp 4,109,355.18 and cost savings (efficiency) reached 79.45 %. MRP techniques EOQ is an alternative method that can be recommended to the company as an inventory control techniques in the hopes this method can save the cost of raw material.  Keywords : Inventory cost, MRP, Delicacao Bali
