Abstract

Types Of Weed Leaf Extract On The Development Of Cabbage Caterpillar (Crocidolomia pavonana F.) In Laboratory The research was conducted in laboratory of Plant Pest and Disease Faculty of Agriculture Udayana University, from October 2016 until February 2017 to test the three types of weed leaf extracts namely Lantana camara leaf, Wedelia trilobata leaf, Chromolaena odorata leaf and to know the biological development of caterpillar Crocidolomia pavonana after three types of weed leaf extracts were applied. This research used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 3 treatment of leaf extract at 50% concentration and 1 type without treatment (control), each repetition was done 10 times. The observation is done until the larvae do nothing activity (dead), or until it becomes imago. Testing three types of weed leaf extracts showed by the following results: the biological development of caterpillars C. pavonana with leaf extract application of L. camara gave the influence of the development of larvae into pupa very slow because it takes 16 days to become a pupa, while W. trilobata leaf extract only takes 12 days to become a pupa. However, with the leaf extract of C. odorata larvae did not reach the pupa and imago phase because this extract resulted in 100% death in the larval phase.

Abstract

Population Development and Plant Damase by Thrips parvispinus Karny (Hemiptera: Aphididae) On the Phenology of Chili in the Three Elevation Level in Bali The aim of this research was to know the development of population, T. parvispinus plant damase and the production of chilly at three different elevation ie, Sedang Village 150 meters above sea level, Kerta Village 650 meters above sea level, and Songan Village 1000 meters above sea level. This research was using sistimatihic method wits U shape, and replicated 5 times. The each of replicatin was taken to sample points. This research was done starting from Desember 2016 to Februari 2017. The results of the three research sites showed that in all three sites the population development and damase percentage by T. parvispinus was highest on observation at 7 (Week After Transplant). The highest population abundance in Kerta Village 7.67 / one flower was followed by Sedang Village 5.76 / one flower and by Songan Village 4.08 / one flower. The highest percentage damage in Kerta Village 55.95% followed by Sedang Village 41.34% and Songan Village 16.67%. This indicated that population development affects the percentage of damage. From the three research sites there was a difference of production which were the weight of harvest in Songan Village 709 g, in Kerta Village 514 g and in Sedang Village 698 g /10 plant.

Abstract

The Influence of Fipronil 50 g/l Against Population Abundance and Parasitization Level of Egg Parasitoid of Yellow Rice Stem Borer in Tabanan District Yellow rice stem borer, Scirpophaga incertulas Walker (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), is one of the important pests of rice plants in Indonesia. Efforts to control those pests are using a lot of synthetic insecticide in the field, meanwhile egg parasitoid is considered to have an important role in the control those pests in nature. The aim of this research is to know the influence of insecticide with active ingredient Fipronil 50 g/l to population abundance and parasitization level of egg parasitoid of yellow rice stem borer. The research was arranged by using randomized block desing with six treatments and four replicates. The results showed that T. Schoenobii parasitoid is the most dominant parasitoid among other types of parasitoids and its diversity is low that is <1,5. Pesticide with active ingredient Fipronil 50 g/l has significant effect on population abundance and parasitization level egg parasitoid of yellow rice stem borer. The highest population abundance was on control and lowest in treatment dose 1.50 cc/l. The highest parasitoid parasitization rate in Tabanan is (19.70%). The parasitization rate was decrease with the increase of tested insecticide dose, so the lowest number was at 1.50 cc/l treatment with percentage (8.62%).

Abstract

Efficacy of Insecticide (chlorpyrifos 540 g/l and sipermetrin 60 g/l) Against Population Development and Percentage of Damage of Leaf Roller Insect, Lamprosema indicata Fabricius (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) on Soybean Plant The research was conducted in order to know the population growth and percentage of damage of soybean leaf roller Lamprosema indicata Fabricius (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) treated with an insecticide with chlorpyrifos 540 g/l + sipermethrin 60 g/l active ingredient. The research was done in Temesi Village, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency starting from December 2016 until February 2017. This research used a Randomized Block Design with five (5) levels treatments and five (5) replications. The sampling technique was performed with diagonal pattern and each treatment was taken ten (10) sample of plants. The results showed that population development and percentage of damage of L. indicata influenced by insecticide with active ingredient chlorpyrifos 540 g/l + sipermetrin 60 g/l. The higher dosage was treated will be decreasing the population development and percentage of damage of L. indicata. The higher population and percentage of damage of L. indicata will be decreasing the production of soybean plant.

Abstract

The Influence of Indigenous Trichoderma sp. Inoculation against Clubroot and the Growth of Cabbages (Brassica oleracea L.) The Cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) is a plant that contains many vitamins and minerals needed by human. The problem which often experienced by cabbage farmers is clubroot deseases that caused by pathogenic Plasmodiophora brassicae Worr. Eco-friendly controls are needed so as not to adversely affect ecosystems by using natural enemies of the pathogen such as Trichoderma sp. The purpose of this research was to obtain the type Trichoderma sp. which effectively suppress clubroot and increase the growth of cabbage plants. The results showed that the most effective isolate was isolate from zucchini plant (Cucurbita pepo L.) rhizosphere (T1), followed by tomato plant (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) rhizosphere (T2), romana plant (Lactuca sativa L. var. longifolia) rhizosphere (T4), and from the spinach plant (Spinacia oleracea L.) rhizosphere (T9). The isolates were able to decrease clubroot and promote cabbage plant growth as well.
