Abstract Since the independence time the Indonesian government has decided to make English as one of the compulsory subjects in schools. However, after learning it for six years in senior and high schools, students? English achievement especially in National Final Examination is still poor. This is due to various factors and one of them is the teachers? competence. The competence in fact comprises many aspects such as teachers? academic background, their level of language skill, their degree of language exposures, and still many others. Among those aspects, the ?attrition? of their English is never been touched. The current research tries to look at this phenomenon especially among those teachers who worked at remote areas. The main question to be answered is to what extend the teacher?s English shows the pattern of language attrition? Since the scope of the this kind of research is so wide, the recent study will only discuss the attrition of English in morphological level. This research is a cross-site case study and was carried out using a combination of longitudinal dan cross sectional design. Data elicitation is carried twice with a lapse of six months between each. The corpus is analyzed using T-unit in terms of number of words uttered, number of ?maze?, and number of morphological committed. The difference between the two data elicitations represents the level of language attrition. Kata-kata kunci: Atrisi bahasa, Kedwibahasaan, Pemerolehan bahasa

Abstract This study aims to describe the rule of post lexical phonology finding in Malay Loloan Bali language. The finding covers the rule and the process of phonology and also the motivation of that process. The analysis was done by focusing on the phonology and syntax connection and also the phonology generative approach, therefore the process and the rule of sound change and also the distingtive fitur can be described. Generally, the change of post lexical sound in Malay Loloan Bali language is in form of contraction besides the rule of phonology border word. The sound change in that contraction process generally found in form of the sound change of particel such as demonstrative, preposition, and discourse particel that usually found if it is used in sentences and the sound change in environment of close sound in frase, so it can be covered in phonology post lexical rule. The motivation of the post lexical sound changes is the contraction process occuring the sound deletion. That contraction process caused by the desire of native speaker to use the language more economic and practice, such as deletion ? in preposition ke (ke ulu ? kulu ?ke utara?) or deletion i in demonstrative ini (karang ini ? karang ni ?sekarang ini?. Meanwhile, the sound change in border word of frase caused by anticipation of articulator and articulation when it produces that sounds, for example glaide insertion of [y] in frase (kaki ayam ? [kaki yayam] ?kaki ayam?) that usually shown in phonetice realitation.

Abstract This paper aims at describing pronominal forms in Middle Yali, a Papuan language of Trans-New Guinea phylum. The language has two kinds of pronominals, i.e. independent pronouns and dependent counterparts. The language applies a set of 6 independent pronouns, which identify first, second and third person, with singular/plural number. The more interesting kind is the dependent pronouns, which may be considered as one of salient features of Middle Yali grammar. On various verb types, they attach to mark agent/subject and patient/object; while, on nouns, dependent pronouns function to mark possessive markers. It is also true for adjectives and postpositions where dependent pronouns mark prefixed-person markers. Keywords: pronominals, independent pronouns, dependent pronouns.

The result of the conversation orientation about the essence of life was conservative leading to the unfortunate of the past, dependent on the superior. The orientation of conservation about the essence of work, and time is still conservative dependent on the nature. Although they have much money, they do not save it in a bank or for education . They tend to be consumptive instead. The orientation of conversation related to the relationship between human being and nature is also still conservative. However, the relationship on the ecosystem of nature tends to be in transistion and the orientation seems to be adaptive to nature. The orientation of conservation about the essence of relationship among fellow beings the same creature tends to be transitional.
