Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the role of gibberellins in enhancing the quality of soybean seeds that have experienced deterioration / decline. This research is using a complete randomized group design (RKTL) two factors. The first factor is pengusangan soaking seeds with 20% ethanol. P0 = Without soaking, P1 = Immersion 15 minutes. P2 = Immersion 30 minutes. The second factor is the provision of gibberellins with gibberellin soaking treatment for 2 hours. G0 = without soaking gibberellins, gibberellin soaking G1 = 20 ppm. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Analysis of data using analysis of variance and to know the difference between treatments, conducted LSD (Least Significant Difference). Each with a real level of 5%. The results are: 1). Application gibberellins showed no recovery of seed deterioration, because pengusangan seeds with ethanol has not shown any significant effect on seed deterioration. 2). Application giberelin the percentage of seed germination and seed vigor percentage lower that 66, 62% and 44.00% compared with that without the application of gibberellins 91.22% and 66.67%, due to the application of gibberellins, sprouts many broke. Might be due to cell division and enlargement of the seed is not offset by the formation of cell walls, so that the cell wall is weak and vulnerable to fractures sprouts 3). Application gibberellins produce a longer hypocotyl length 10.69 cm compared to that without the application of gibberellins that is 7.94 cm. 4). Application gibberellins produce root length is shorter on the 7.73 cm compared to 8.10 cm without the application of gibberellins Keywords: Deterioration, Soybean, Gibberellin

Abstract

This experiment has been conducted to study the effect of organic matter levels and soil water content levels of Ultisols on soil microbe activity, growth and patchouli oil content of Pogostemon cablin. Experiment was carried out under green house condition and was arranged in completely randomized blocks with factorial design, consisted of two factors and tree replications. First factor was levels of organic matter (5, 7.5, and 15 ton hectare-1), and second factor were levels of soil water content (100 %, 80 %, 60 % and 40 % of field capacity). The yield of experiment showed that there were interaction between organic matter levels and soil water content levels on dry weight, wet weight of Pogostemon cablin and CO2 releasing but there were no interaction on dry weight and wet weight of root of Pogostemon cablin. The highest patchouli oil content (i.e. 1.35 %) are found on 100 % level of soil water content, but on lower levels of soil water content, patchouli oil content were decrease. Keywords: Soil microbe activity, patchouli oil, pogostemon cablin, organic matter

Abstract

Master Plan for the Acceleration and expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development (MP3I) is one of economic development of the guidelines used by the government in its efforts to accelerating national development towards a just and prosperous society, especially in 2025. To realize this activities of the Government especially the Ministry of Agriculture has launched four main targets of agricultural development are: (1) realizing the achievement self-sufficiency and sustainable self-sufficiency, (2) achieve increased diversification, (3) realize an increase in value added, competitiveness, and exports, and (4) realize increased welfare of farmers. Food commodities is a strategic commodity, where compliance should always be available to the public. The issue of the need, availability and production of major food today. One of the corridors that are directed to the development of food commodities is Island Sulawesi as fourth corridor, which Gorontalo province is part of the Regions corridors. However, in the preparation and implementation of the field is still stout encountered obstacles and barriers. Lack of infrastructure, facilities and infrastructure that can support acceleration of growth seems to still be a problem that needs to be above. Keywords: Foodstuffs Commodity, MP3EI, Gorontalo

Abstract

Duck meat has a fishy smell weakness, tough and a higher fat content, but it has the advantage of a high content of protein and low in calories. Factors that cause the meat is that it contains a lot of connective tissue protein, collagen has a structure that is very complex and overlap. Factors that cause the meat is that it contains a lot of connective tissue protein, collagen has a structure that is very complex and overlap. One of the efforts that can be used to degrade the connective tissue protein structures is to use agricultural waste products of fermentation results. One agricultural materials such as waste that is possible can be used as a source of carbohydrate is cassava (casapro)which is agro waste. This research result of industrial waste utilizing cassava starch by fermentation. Animals used were male duck and the treatment used is P0 without the addition of fermented cassava (casapro) in the ration and the addition of cassava fermentation treatment P1 (casapro) 5% in the ration.
