Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Canva-assisted digital comic learning media in the Indonesian language subject for grade V at SDN 064036 Teladan Timur. The method used is research and development with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were 1 media expert and 1 material expert, 1 grade V teacher, and 22 grade V students. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, questionnaires, and tests, with data analysis using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The validation results showed that the developed media obtained a score of 92% from media experts with the category of "very feasible", and 80% from material experts with the category of "feasible". Practicality, the media obtained a score of 100% from educators and 95% from students, both of which were in the "very practical" category. In addition, the results of the analysis of learning outcome improvements showed an average N-gain value of 0.76 with the "high" category. The media effectiveness test also showed a percentage of 76% which was classified as "very effective". In conclusion, the digital comic learning media developed using Canva is feasible and practical to use in learning, and is effective in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 064036 Teladan Timur.

Abstract

This study develops image-based evaluation instruments as alternative assessments for Grade III IPAS learning on changes in the state of matter, using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study was conducted at SDN 101280 Gunungtua Tonga with 20 Grade III students as subjects and three expert validators. Data were collected through expert validation sheets (Aiken V formula), teacher and student response questionnaires, and empirical item analysis. Results show: (1) the instrument is valid, with Aiken V scores of 0.850 (content), 0.875 (design), and 0.900 (evaluation) — all exceeding the minimum threshold of 0.600; 25 of 40 initial items (62.5%) passed selection; all 25 items were empirically valid (r > 0.444); (2) the instrument is very practical with a combined score of 87.32% from teacher (88.33%) and student (86.3%) responses; (3) the instrument is effective, with 100% of multiple-choice distractors functioning, proportional difficulty distribution, and a class average score of 61.1% (Effective category). The instrument is recommended as an alternative IPAS assessment tool in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) for Grade VI Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning on the topic of Energy and Its Utilization at SDN 104205 Tembung and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects of the study were 20 Grade VI students. Data were collected through material expert validation sheets, design expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest instruments. The results showed that the developed LKPD achieved a validity score of 90% from material experts, indicating a valid category. The practicality assessment based on student responses reached more than 90%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test using the N-Gain formula showed an increase in learning outcomes, with the average pretest score of 61.60 and posttest score of 84.43, resulting in an N-Gain value of 0.594 in the medium category. These findings indicate that the developed PBL-based LKPD is valid, practical, and sufficiently effective for IPAS learning while supporting the development of students’ 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication).
