Abstract

This study aimed to determine how visual representation media of the food chain, V-FoodChain, improved fourth-grade students’ ability to analyze ecosystems at SDN Paseraman 1 Arjasa, Sumenep Regency. This quantitative study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest method. The research sample consisted of 10 students selected through total sampling. The research instrument was an essay test administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using a paired-sample t-test with SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the use of V-FoodChain media. The mean pretest score increased from 52.30 to 84.80 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The effect size was very large (d ≈ 2.2), indicating a strong practical effect. The standard deviation decreased from 16.82 to 10.27, showing more consistent learning outcomes among students. These findings indicate that V-FoodChain media is effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes on ecosystem material and supporting more consistent gains in elementary students’ abilities.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires elementary school teachers not only to operate technology but also to integrate it pedagogically, safely, and in accordance with student characteristics. This community service activity aims to strengthen teachers' digital competence through the development of game-based learning media using Educaplay. The activity was conducted at SDN Kebunagung II, Sumenep Regency, with the participation of 18 teachers. The method applied was participatory training based on partner needs, which included the stages of needs assessment, community education, enforcement, hands-on practice, mentoring, evaluation, and reflection. Data were collected through process and skills assessment sheets, product assessment rubrics, post-training questionnaires, reflective discussions, and activity documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that understanding of game-based learning concepts reached 83.3% in the very good category. Introduction to Educaplay features reached 78.9%, the ability to operate the platform 76.7%, and the ability to produce creative media 74.4%; these three indicators were in the good category. A total of 14 teachers or 77.8% understood the material well and stated they were ready to implement Educaplay in the classroom. However, only 11 teachers or 61.1% were able to produce media independently or with minimal assistance. The results of the activity indicate initial strengthening in understanding, operational skills, and readiness for implementation; However, continued mentoring is necessary to ensure more equitable and sustainable development of pedagogical design abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi manajemen layanan khusus dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Layanan khusus dipandang sebagai unsur penunjang penting yang tidak secara langsung berkaitan dengan kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, namun berperan besar dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman, aman, dan kondusif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multi kasus pada tiga sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Sumenep, yaitu SDN Marengan Daya I, SDN Jangkong, dan SDN Romben Guna I. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis lintas kasus (cross-case analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam pengelolaan layanan khusus antar sekolah yang dipengaruhi oleh ukuran sekolah, lokasi, jumlah peserta didik, serta ketersediaan sumber daya dan alokasi Dana BOS. Sekolah dengan manajemen yang terencana, pembagian tugas yang jelas, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan mampu mengoptimalkan layanan khusus meskipun dengan keterbatasan sarana. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa sinergi antar personel sekolah dan kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap tantangan internal maupun eksternal menjadi kunci tercapainya manajemen layanan khusus yang efektif dan efisien dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.
