Abstract

Sri Asih is an Indonesian superhero film that presents heroic narratives embedded with moral, social, and spiritual values relevant to contemporary da'wah. This study aims to analyze the da'wah values contained in the heroic narrative of Sri Asih and to identify how da'wah messages are conveyed through characters, conflicts, and plot development. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. Primary data were obtained from the film Sri Asih (2022), while secondary data were collected from relevant literature on da'wah communication, film narratives, and popular media. Data collection techniques included documentation, observation of dialogues and scenes, and literature review. The findings reveal that the film conveys da'wah messages implicitly through the heroic journey of Alana, the main character. The identified da'wah values include self-control, courage in upholding justice, respect for women, moral responsibility, and the spirit of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar (promoting good and preventing wrongdoing). These messages are communicated through narrative and symbolic approaches that resonate with younger audiences. Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the investigative journalism literacy of UIN Walisongo Semarang students through a Bincang Jurnalistik activity entitled “Learning Investigative Reporting”. The program was motivated by the need for students to develop critical analysis skills, the ability to filter information, and the competence to write accurate and data-based investigative news in the midst of the rapid digital information flow. The implementation method consisted of four stages: orientation and introduction, delivery of investigative journalism material, writing practice, and evaluation and reflection. The activity was held on November 25, 2024, at UIN Walisongo Campus 1 and was attended by 40 students from various study programs. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of investigative journalism principles, including the application of 5W+1H, data verification, and ethical considerations. During the practice session, most participants were able to produce simple investigative news articles that included facts, sources, and critical analysis, although some weaknesses in writing structure remained. Evaluation indicated that 85% of participants found the program beneficial and expressed motivation to continue developing their investigative skills. Therefore, this community service initiative contributed to shaping students to become more critical, media literate, and practically skilled in investigative journalism, while also strengthening the role of higher education in promoting media literacy in the digital era.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in creating a harmonious work environment, particularly in educational institutions. At Selamat Sri University, effective interactions between faculty and students can influence organizational dynamics and learning outcomes. This study aims to explore the role of interpersonal communication in building harmony and work productivity at Selamat Sri University. The research method used was a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results showed that open and empathetic communication improves interpersonal relationships, reduces conflict, and encourages better collaboration. Furthermore, good interpersonal communication contributes to increased motivation and job satisfaction. These findings indicate that developing interpersonal communication skills in a university environment can be an important strategy in improving harmony and work productivity.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menyosialisasikan informasi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru (PMB) Universitas Selamat Sri (UNISS) kepada masyarakat dan pekerja di Kawasan Industri Kendal. Sosialisasi dilakukan secara langsung melalui metode komunikasi interpersonal dan penyebaran brosur berisi informasi program studi, jalur pendaftaran, sistem perkuliahan, serta skema biaya dan beasiswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di titik-titik strategis di sekitar kawasan industri, seperti gerbang pabrik, area perkantoran, dan tempat makan pekerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 50 brosur berhasil disebarkan, dengan 35 pekerja terlibat dalam percakapan langsung. Dari jumlah tersebut, sekitar 20 orang menyatakan ketertarikan terhadap program kuliah sambil bekerja, dan dua orang menghubungi pihak kampus untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut. Respon para pekerja terhadap informasi yang diberikan cukup positif, terutama terkait fleksibilitas waktu kuliah dan ketersediaan kelas malam. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode komunikasi interpersonal tetap relevan dan efektif dalam memperluas akses informasi pendidikan tinggi di lingkungan industri. Diperlukan strategi pengembangan melalui kerja sama dengan perusahaan dan pemanfaatan media digital untuk memperluas cakupan dan dampak kegiatan secara berkelanjutan.
