Abstract

Arabic language learning among students of the Arabic Language Education Program at UIN Palopo often faces challenges, particularly in mastering grammatical rules. This study aims to investigate the effect of the Nadwah Usbu’iyyah program on students’ Arabic grammar proficiency. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and pretest and posttest instruments. The sample consisted of 19 students from the Arabic Language Education Department who actively participated in the Nadwah Usbu’iyyah program. The results revealed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores, with a calculated t-value of 11.25, which exceeds the critical value of 1.734. This indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Furthermore, the average post-test score (78) was higher than the pre-test score (61), demonstrating a notable improvement. These findings suggest that the Nadwah Usbu’iyyah program has a significant positive effect on enhancing students’ mastery of Arabic grammar. Therefore, it is recommended as an effective supplementary learning strategy in Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation patterns used by da'is in expressing religious ideologies through the empowerment of cultural forms. The purpose of this research is to reveal the forms of culture used by the dai in Palopo City in conveying the message of da'wah. The research uses a qualitative approach, specifically ethnographic research, lasting two months, namely from June to July 2021. The da'is' research subjects were purposively selected as data sources. Data acquisition was carried out by tapping (recording) with Handycam equipment. The form of data is in the form of statements that contain the form of culture. Data were analysed using a hermeneutic approach (interpretation, interpretation) and critical discourse analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the form of culture was used as a pattern in representing the message of da'wah which consisted of (1) the delivery of ideology through stories, (2) the delivery of ideology through roles and positions, (3) the delivery of ideology through social facts, (4) the delivery of ideology through self-efficacy, and (5) the delivery of ideology through local language. The form of cultural aspects becomes an instrument to transform the message of da'wah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran kartu kuartet dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas VI di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islam Integral Hidayatullah Bosso Luwu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 24 siswa kelas VI. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi, tes tertulis, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu kuartet mampu meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan penguasaan kosakata siswa secara signifikan. Pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata siswa mencapai 69,79 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 45,83%, yang menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar belum memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 90,63 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 83,33%, sehingga telah melampaui standar ketuntasan minimal yaitu 75%. Selain itu, aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 81,25% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu kuartet mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif, menarik, dan menyenangkan sehingga efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran kartu kuartet terbukti efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kosakata bahasa Arab pada tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
