Abstract

This study explores the alignment between the BANI era framework Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible and the graduate profile, positioning graduates as transformative resilience architects rather than merely holders of normative competencies. The research aims to examine how deep learning operationalizes this profile to prepare students for complex global challenges. Employing a literature review and conceptual analysis, the study synthesizes theoretical perspectives from Cascio (2020), Dewey (1933), Biggs & Tang (2003), Deci & Ryan (2000), Fullan et al. (2017), OECD Learning Compass 2030, and the World Economic Forum (2020). The findings indicate that deep learning enables integrative development across cognitive, affective, social, and spiritual domains. Key competencies including spirituality, citizenship, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, autonomy, well-being, and communication are strengthened through reflective, experiential, and project-based pedagogical practices. The study concludes that the integration of graduate profile design and deep learning provides a systemic educational approach that equips students to adapt, thrive, and act as agents of transformation in the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous conditions of the BANI era.
