Abstract

Kebakaran merupakan salah satu potensi bahaya kerja yang sering terjadi di lingkungan industri dan konstruksi serta dapat menyebabkan kerugian material, kecelakaan kerja, hingga korban jiwa. Salah satu sistem proteksi kebakaran aktif yang umum digunakan di tempat kerja adalah Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan APAR sebagai bagian dari sistem proteksi kebakaran di PT. China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering (PT. CCIEE). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Aspek yang dianalisis meliputi jenis APAR, kesesuaian penempatan, kondisi fisik, sistem inspeksi, pemeliharaan, serta pemahaman pekerja mengenai penggunaan APAR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan telah menyediakan beberapa jenis APAR sesuai potensi bahaya kebakaran di masing-masing area kerja, seperti Dry Chemical Powder, CO₂, dan Foam. Namun masih ditemukan beberapa ketidaksesuaian seperti APAR yang diletakkan langsung di lantai, dokumentasi inspeksi yang belum optimal, serta pemahaman pekerja terkait klasifikasi kebakaran dan jenis APAR yang masih terbatas. Kegiatan pelatihan dan simulasi secara berkala terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan tanggap darurat pekerja dalam menghadapi kebakaran tahap awal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan APAR di PT. CCIEE secara umum telah berjalan cukup baik, namun masih memerlukan peningkatan pada sistem inspeksi, pemeliharaan, pelatihan pekerja, serta pengawasan agar sistem proteksi kebakaran di lingkungan kerja menjadi lebih optimal.

Abstract

Pelayanan gizi rawat inap merupakan bagian penting dalam mendukung proses penyembuhan, keselamatan pasien, dan mutu pelayanan rumah sakit. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan menata dan mendeskripsikan pelayanan gizi pasien rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Islam Karawang, terutama pada aspek kebersihan, perencanaan menu, pengolahan makanan, distribusi makanan, dan kepuasan pasien. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-evaluatif melalui observasi alur pelayanan gizi, edukasi kebersihan dan keamanan pangan, pendampingan penataan pelayanan, serta pengumpulan umpan balik pasien menggunakan lembar penilaian skala Likert dan pertanyaan terbuka. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan gizi rawat inap telah mencakup perencanaan menu, perencanaan kebutuhan bahan makanan, pengolahan makanan sesuai prinsip higiene, serta distribusi makanan berdasarkan jenis diet pasien seperti diet D2, TKTP, snack, dan makanan biasa. Pasien menunjukkan respons positif dan antusias memberikan masukan terkait kebersihan, rasa, variasi, porsi, suhu, ketepatan waktu, dan keramahan petugas. Kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya evaluasi berkala, koordinasi lintas profesi, serta penguatan higiene sanitasi dalam pelayanan gizi rawat inap. Rumah sakit disarankan meningkatkan monitoring ketepatan diet, suhu makanan, distribusi, dan mekanisme umpan balik pasien secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pengelolaan laundry linen rumah sakit merupakan pelayanan penunjang nonmedis yang berperan penting dalam pencegahan infeksi, keselamatan pasien, dan keselamatan kerja petugas. Pengelolaan linen yang tidak sesuai standar dapat meningkatkan risiko kontaminasi silang dan infeksi nosokomial. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan keterampilan petugas laundry serta staf terkait mengenai pengelolaan linen, pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi, penggunaan alat pelindung diri, serta prinsip sterilisasi pakaian dan linen rumah sakit. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit Islam Karawang pada 1–13 Desember. Metode kegiatan meliputi persiapan, promosi kesehatan, edukasi teori, simulasi pemilahan linen infeksius dan noninfeksius, demonstrasi penggunaan alat pelindung diri, diskusi, dan evaluasi. Materi edukasi mencakup prinsip Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi, klasifikasi linen, alur kerja satu arah, penanganan linen terkontaminasi, zonasi laundry, keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, serta sterilisasi di Central Sterile Supply Department. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu mempraktikkan pemilahan linen dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri dengan bimbingan tim pengabdi. Kegiatan juga meningkatkan kesadaran peserta dalam memisahkan linen kotor dan bersih, menggunakan alat pelindung diri sesuai standar, serta menjaga kedisiplinan alur kerja untuk mencegah kontaminasi silang. Program ini mendukung peningkatan mutu pengelolaan linen rumah sakit serta berkontribusi terhadap keselamatan pasien dan pencegahan infeksi.

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan aspek penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan produktif, terutama pada sektor konstruksi dan industri yang memiliki risiko kecelakaan kerja tinggi. Salah satu upaya pencegahan yang dilakukan perusahaan adalah melalui pelaksanaan safety induction, yaitu kegiatan pengenalan awal bagi pekerja baru, kontraktor, maupun tamu sebelum memasuki area kerja untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai potensi bahaya, penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), prosedur tanggap darurat, serta aturan keselamatan yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi safety induction dan perannya dalam meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di PT Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited Energy Engineering (PT CCIEE), Kabupaten Karawang, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Pengamatan dilakukan secara langsung pada kegiatan safety induction, toolbox meeting, general safety talk, safety patrol, dan inspeksi keselamatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Departemen Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety induction berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan kepatuhan pekerja terhadap prosedur keselamatan kerja melalui pemahaman mengenai risiko kerja, pengendalian bahaya, penggunaan APD yang benar, serta tindakan yang harus dilakukan dalam kondisi darurat. Selain itu, program ini mendukung pembentukan budaya keselamatan kerja yang positif dan berkelanjutan sehingga dapat membantu mengurangi potensi kecelakaan kerja serta mendukung penerapan Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (SMK3) di lingkungan perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, safety induction perlu terus dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan sebagai bagian dari strategi peningkatan kinerja keselamatan kerja.

Abstract

Fire is one of the major risks in construction and energy industries that can cause material losses, operational disruptions, and threaten workers’ safety. One of the early fire prevention efforts is the implementation of portable fire extinguishers (APAR) as an active fire protection system in the workplace. Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of portable fire extinguishers as an early fire prevention effort at PT Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited Energy Engineering (PT CCIEE). Method: This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a field study approach. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature review, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using descriptive qualitative analysis. Findings: The results showed that PT CCIEE had implemented portable fire extinguishers as part of an active fire protection system in high-risk work areas, such as welding areas, electrical panels, and heavy equipment zones. However, several issues were still identified, including nonfunctional extinguishers, improper extinguisher placement, and the need for improved worker training on extinguisher usage. Implication: This study indicates that the effectiveness of portable fire extinguishers is not only determined by equipment availability, but also by proper placement, regular inspection, and workers’ preparedness in using fire extinguishers. Originality: The originality of this study lies in its focus on the implementation of portable fire extinguishers within construction and energy industry projects in Indonesia, which remains limited in previous studies.

Abstract

Laundry linen management and clothing sterilization in hospitals are essential components in preventing healthcare-associated infections and protecting healthcare workers’ safety. Improper linen management may increase the risk of cross-contamination, microorganism transmission, and occupational health hazards for laundry and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) personnel. Objective: This study aims to analyze laundry linen management and clothing sterilization at Rumah Sakit Islam Karawang as part of infection prevention and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) implementation. Method: This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a field study approach. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature review, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using descriptive qualitative analysis. Findings: The results showed that laundry linen management and clothing sterilization were carried out through sorting, washing, drying, ironing, sterilization, storage, and distribution of clean linen. The hospital had also provided physical facilities, laundry equipment, cleaning agents, personal protective equipment, and work SOPs. However, several problems were still identified, including inconsistent use of personal protective equipment, potential mixing of infectious and noninfectious linen, and risks of exposure to chemicals and heat among workers. Implication: This study indicates that the effectiveness of hospital linen management is influenced not only by facilities and equipment, but also by SOP compliance, work supervision, and the hospital safety culture. Originality: The originality of this study lies in integrating laundry linen management, CSSD processes, occupational safety, and infection prevention into a comprehensive study within a regional hospital setting in Indonesia.

Abstract

Hospital nutrition services are an important component of healthcare systems because they contribute directly to patients’ nutritional fulfillment, recovery processes, patient safety, and healthcare quality improvement. Inadequate nutrition management may increase the risk of malnutrition, prolong hospitalization, and reduce the effectiveness of medical treatment. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the implementation of inpatient nutrition service management at Rumah Sakit Islam Karawang, particularly regarding nutrition planning, food processing, and meal distribution systems. This research employed a descriptive qualitative design to obtain a comprehensive understanding of inpatient nutrition service implementation within the hospital setting. Data were collected through observations, documentation, and literature review, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis involving data reduction, presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that inpatient nutrition service management at Rumah Sakit Islam Karawang has been implemented systematically through integrated menu planning systems, individualized dietary determination based on patients’ clinical conditions, standardized food processing procedures, and scheduled meal distribution practices. The hospital applies a seven-day menu cycle system and maintains hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards during food preparation and distribution activities. In addition, timely meal distribution and dietary accuracy support patient nutritional fulfillment and contribute to healthcare service quality improvement. This study implies that effective nutrition service management systems can strengthen patient-centered healthcare services, improve patient satisfaction, support recovery processes, and enhance hospital operational quality. The originality of this study lies in its comprehensive analysis of inpatient nutrition service management by integrating nutrition planning, food processing, and meal distribution systems within a single hospital context, whereas previous studies generally focused only on specific aspects such as dietary accuracy, food distribution, or patient satisfaction. Therefore, this study provides additional empirical insights into hospital nutrition service management and contributes to the development of healthcare quality improvement strategies in hospital settings.

Abstract

Electrical systems are essential infrastructures in industrial operations, but they also present significant occupational hazards such as electric shock, short circuits, equipment failure, and electrical fires. Inadequate electrical safety management may cause workplace accidents, operational disruption, and financial losses. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of electrical inspection and testing activities at PT Cipta Pratama Inspeksi Indonesia, particularly in administrative procedures, technical testing, reporting mechanisms, and documentation management within occupational safety practices. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation, documentation, and literature review, while data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis involving data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that electrical inspection and testing activities were implemented systematically through administrative verification, visual inspection, insulation resistance testing, grounding measurement, protective system verification, and structured reporting. These activities were conducted based on occupational electrical safety standards and supported by standardized operational procedures. The reporting and documentation systems also functioned as important mechanisms for accountability, regulatory compliance, and corrective action. This study implies that systematic electrical inspection should be integrated into Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (OSHMS/SMK3) to strengthen workplace safety culture and industrial risk management. The originality of this study lies in its comprehensive analysis of electrical inspection implementation by integrating administrative preparation, technical testing, reporting, and documentation management within one analytical framework. Unlike previous studies that mainly focused on theoretical safety concepts or technical standards separately, this study provides empirical insight into the practical implementation of occupational electrical inspection systems in an Indonesian inspection service company.

Abstract

The increasing use of scissor lifts in construction projects has contributed to improved efficiency and accessibility for work at height. However, improper operation, inadequate inspections, and insufficient operator competency may increase the risk of workplace accidents. Therefore, the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential to ensure safe and effective scissor lift operations. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of SOPs for scissor lift operations at PT Puri Anjasmoro Indonesia, focusing on pre-operational inspections, operational and emergency procedures, and operator competency in supporting occupational safety. A qualitative descriptive approach with an evaluative design was employed. Data were collected through direct observations, document reviews, and semi-structured interviews with operators and safety personnel. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis involving data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that pre-operational inspections were consistently conducted before equipment use, operational and emergency procedures were implemented in accordance with established safety requirements, and all observed operators possessed valid certifications and had participated in occupational safety training programs. These findings indicate that the integration of preventive inspections, standardized operational procedures, and competent operators contributes significantly to reducing operational risks and enhancing workplace safety performance. The study implies that construction companies should strengthen routine inspections, continuous safety training, and regulatory compliance to maintain safe scissor lift operations. The originality of this study lies in its integrated evaluation of technical, procedural, and human factors affecting scissor lift safety within an actual construction environment, providing practical evidence for improving occupational safety management in construction projects.

Abstract

The increasing activities in the construction and energy industries have raised the risk of occupational accidents, making OHS implementation essential. Objective: This study aims to analyze the procedures and importance of safety induction in improving workplace safety at PT CCIEE. Method: This research used a descriptive qualitative method with a field study approach through observation, documentation, and literature review, analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings: The findings show that safety induction was implemented through OHS policy delivery, workplace hazard identification, PPE use, emergency procedures, and supporting activities such as toolbox meetings, general safety talks, and safety patrols. These practices improved workers’ understanding, awareness, and compliance with workplace safety procedures. Implication: This study indicates that safety induction is not merely an administrative procedure but a preventive strategy to develop a workplace safety culture. Originality: The originality of this study lies in its focus on safety induction implementation in construction and energy companies in Indonesia, which remains limited in previous studies.
