Abstract

Breast milk is the best nutrient for the growth and development of infants. The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia (74.5%) is still far from the national target of 80%. One of the contributing factors is less milk production. Oketani massage makes the breasts softer, the areolas and nipples more elastic, making it easier for the baby to suckle. Education can increase knowledge and abilities and skills of mothers. Oketani massage and breastfeeding education can help increase milk production.Objective : Proving the effect of oketani massage intervention and breastfeeding education on breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum mothers Method : Quasy experiment with Design Pretest and Posttest With Group control. The sample consisted of 34 postpartum mothers, each group consisting of 17 respondents. The intervention group was given oketani massage and breastfeeding education while the control group was given health education about breastfeeding for 7 days. The data collected is breast-feeding self-efficacy filling out questionnaires. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test, Mann-Whitney, Independent T-Test.Results : The mean difference in pre-post breastfeeding self-efficacy in the intervention group was 5.59 and -0.82 in the control group (p value 0.000).Conclusion : Giving oketani massage and breastfeeding education can increase breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum mothers.Keywords : Breastfeeding Self Efficacy, Breastfeeding Education, Oketani Massage, Postpartum Mother

Abstract

Masih tingginya Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) di Indonesia salah satunya disebabkan oleh kejadian infeksi pada masa nifas. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan ibu seputar nifas dan menyusui, kurangnya dukungan dari suami dan keluarga serta kurang optimalnya dukungan yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan. Postpartum Mother Center Care (PMCC) merupakan suatu model asuhan inovatif yang diberikan pada masa nifas yang terdiri dari tiga elemen penting yakni Edukasi Kesehatan, Dukungan Suami dan atau Keluarga, serta Dukungan dari Tenaga Kesehatan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat terkait model asuhan PMCC yang bisa dijadikan sebagai upaya mencegah dan menekan terjadinya infeksi pada masa nifas. Metode pengabdian ini dilakukan pada 20 ibu nifas yang berada dilingkungan PMB Rosita Kota Pekanbaru dan didapatkan hasil 17 ibu nifas (85%) menyatakan sangat bermanfaat sebagai pencegahan kejadian infeksi pada masa nifas dan 3 ibu nifas lagi (15%) menyatakan bermanfaat saja. Hasil tersebut diharapkan model asuhan nifas PMCC ini dapat dijadikan sebagai model asuhan yang diterapkan pada masa nifas untuk mencegah dan menekan angka kejadian infeksi pada masa nifas

Abstract

Abstract: Dysmenorrhea is pain experienced by adolescents during menstruation. Dysmenorrhea is caused by an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood, prostaglandins and stress/psychological factors resulting in the occurrence of dysmenorrhea in some women. Anxiety is an unpleasant feeling that is described by restlessness or tension and abnormal hemodynamic signs as a consequence of sympathetic, parasympathetic and endocrine stimulation. One of the non-pharmacological therapies is by emphasizing the P6 meridian point.. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure on anxiety in dysmenorrheal adolescents. The type of research used is experimental, namely pre-experimental with a one group pre-post test design. The sample in this study were 18 students who experienced dysmenorrhea. Measurement of anxiety using the STAI questionnaire (Y). The results showed that the average level of anxiety before being given acupressure was 2.28, then given acupressure, it showed that there was a change in the average level of anxiety, which was 1.28. From the results of statistical tests with the Wilcoxon test, the p value value is 0.000. It can be said that the administration of acupressure is effective or has a good influence on reducing anxiety in dysmenorrheal adolescents. Giving acupressure during dysmenorrhea is very useful in overcoming anxiety problems in adolescents. It is recommended that health workers can provide knowledge about acupressure in overcoming anxiety problems during dysmenorrhea.Keywords: Acupressure, Anxiety, Adolescent.
