Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemahaman, keterampilan dan strategi yang diterapkan oleh pendakwah dalam menyampaikan pesan pembangunan lingkungan melalui berbagai media. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan analisis konten media yang digunakan oleh pendakwah. Responden utama penelitian ini terdiri dari beberapa pendakwah yang aktif di Kota Padangsidimpuan beserta masyarakat yang menjadi target audiens mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi media pendakwah memiliki dampak positif dalam menyampaikan konten pembangunan lingkungan kepada masyarakat. Pendakwah menggunakan berbagai media, termasuk media sosial, radio, dan ceramah langsung untuk mencapai audiens mereka. Strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan melibatkan penggunaan bahasa yang mudah dipahami, pemanfaatan gambar dan audiovisual, serta interaksi langsung dengan masyarakat.

Abstract

The advancement of globalization and the gradual decline in adherence to local cultural values have posed significant challenges to the internalization of Islamic values within society, particularly in Padangsidimpuan. Conventional da'wah approaches that lack contextual sensitivity often result in the ineffective transmission of religion, thereby necessitating strategies that integrate Islamic teachings with local cultural messages wisdom. This study aims to examine the cultural-based da'wah communication approach through Dalihan Na Tolu in strengthening Islamic values within the community. This research adopts a qualitative method with a case study design, employing indepth interviews, observations, and documentation, which are analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that Dalihan Na Tolu serves as an effective communication medium due to its congruence with Islamic values, supported by the influential role of traditional leaders and the use of culturally embedded symbols. Consequently, a culturally grounded da'wah approach is demonstrated to enhance both the acceptance and the internalization of Islamic values in a contextual and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of Imam al-Shafi‘i’s epistemological thought to the development of contemporary Islamic jurisprudence in the digital era. It specifically explores the extent to which his methodological principles can support legal reasoning, maintain the authenticity of Islamic scholarship, and address the challenges arising from the rapid circulation of digital religious information. This study employed a qualitative library research design. Data were obtained from the works attributed to Imam al-Shafi‘i, classical Islamic jurisprudence literature, and contemporary scholarly studies concerning digital transformation in Islamic scholarship. The data were analyzed through content analysis by identifying, interpreting, and comparing the principal sources and methodological foundations of Imam al-Shafi‘i’s epistemology with current developments in digital Islamic jurisprudence. The findings indicate that Imam al-Shafi‘i’s epistemological framework, which is grounded in the Qur’an, Sunnah, ijma‘, and qiyas, remains methodologically relevant for addressing contemporary legal issues. His framework also provides a critical basis for assessing the validity of digital religious information, ensuring systematic legal reasoning, preventing unqualified interpretations, and preserving the authority of competent Islamic scholars. Imam al-Shafi‘i’s epistemological thought continues to offer a reliable foundation for the development of adaptive, systematic, and authentic Islamic jurisprudence in the digital age. Its application can strengthen scholarly authority and improve the credibility of contemporary digital fiqh discourse.
