Abstract

Research Objective: Psychomotor development is an essential component of child growth and development. It can be influenced by several factors, including parenting practices and the adequacy of essential nutrients such as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and zinc. This study aimed to examine the relationship between parenting style, PUFA intake, zinc intake, and psychomotor development among toddlers. Methodology: This analytical cross-sectional study involved 66 toddlers aged 7–72 months. Parenting style was assessed using the Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ). PUFA and zinc intake were measured using a Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Psychomotor development was evaluated using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire (KPSP). Data were analyzed using Chi-square tests and ordinal logistic regression. Results: Among the toddlers, 27% were stunted and 26% had mild wasting. Approximately 63% had inadequate PUFA intake, while 68% had inadequate zinc intake. Nearly half of the toddlers (47%) showed questionable psychomotor development. Bivariate analysis showed significant associations between parenting style (p<0.001), PUFA intake (p<0.001), zinc intake (p=0.001), family income (p=0.002), and nutritional status with psychomotor development. Multivariate analysis revealed that zinc intake and family income were the strongest predictors of psychomotor development. Conclusion: Adequate zinc intake and higher family income play important roles in supporting optimal psychomotor development among toddlers. Parenting practices and PUFA intake also contribute to developmental outcomes, although their effects may be mediated by socioeconomic and nutritional factors.

Abstract

Research Objective: This study aimed to identify the root causes of medical record-number duplication and synthesize evidence-informed continuous-improvement recommendations. Methodology: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted in Google Scholar in June 2026 using combinations of “medical record duplication,” “Electronic Medical Records (EMR),” and “continuous improvement.” Articles published between 2022 and 2026 were screened using predefined eligibility criteria. Of 7,580 records identified, 11 articles were included and analyzed through qualitative thematic coding and narrative quality appraisal. Results: The evidence was grouped into five interrelated dimensions: human resources, systems and technology, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and governance, and infrastructure. Human-resource factors were the most frequently reported, while system limitations, weak identity-verification procedures, limited governance, and infrastructure disruptions also contributed to assigning more than one medical record number to the same patient. The findings were mapped to PDCA, Kaizen, data cleansing, and Master Patient Index (MPI) strategies. Conclusion: Medical record-number duplication is a multidimensional patient-safety and data-quality problem. The proposed continuous-improvement framework should be interpreted as an evidence-informed synthesis that may help healthcare facilities reduce new duplication and strengthen patient-identity management; its effectiveness requires local implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

Gout arthritis is a condition that can interfere with a person's daily activities. Individuals with this condition will experience joint pain during movement, swelling, stiffness in the fingers when moved, and eventually, the person may become unable to carry out normal activities. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 34.2% of people worldwide experienced gout in 2020.Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience resulting from tissue damage and is subjective in nature. Chronic pain is constant or intermittent pain that persists over a period of time. Health education is a planned and systematic learning process aimed at increasing knowledge, a wareness, and skills. This study is an intervention-type research, in which the researcher conducts actions or treatments (interventions) on subjects to observe the impact. The participants involved were two clients or two families (two cases) with the same nursing problem and medical diagnosis, namely clients experiencing chronic pain due to gout. The assessment was carried out from May 12 to 28, 2025. From the assessment results, Ny. Sn had a uric acid level of 8.0 mg/dL and Ny. Sy had 8.7 mg/dL. The nursing diagnosis identified based on problem screening was: Chronic Pain Related to the Family’s Inability to Care for Sick Family Members, with a score of 5. The planned interventions were General Objective and Specific Objectives 1–5, with the expectation that the family would be able to recognize the problem, make decisions, provide care, modify the environment and diet, and utilize health care facilities. During the evaluation stage, the planned actions were carried out for both clients and the problems were resolved.
