Abstract

This study aims to analyze the shift in the practical values of Pancasila, particularly the Third and Fourth Principles, in the developing urban community in Pattallassang District, Takalar Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical type. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, passive participant observation, and documentation of community leaders, government officials, local residents, and academics selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis adopted the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. While data validity was tested using triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results show that urbanization, economic pressures, and digital penetration have triggered the deconstruction of social solidarity in society. Gotong royong has shifted from a routine activity based on collective awareness to a conditional and transactional action. The practice of deliberation has also been distorted due to the dominance of efficiency rationality, elite capture, and the shift in communication to virtual spaces that weaken social closeness. In addition, the penetration of digital capitalism has given rise to an individualistic, consumptive, and hedonistic lifestyle. This research emphasizes the need for revitalization of public spaces and fostering Pancasila ideology based on digital-civic engagement that is more inclusive and contextual in developing peri-urban communities.

Abstract

History learning in high school often suffers from low student interest and motivation because of teacher-centered, conventional methods that fail to engage the digital generation. This study aims to examine the effect of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model on students' learning interest and motivation in history at Athirah Bukit Baruga Islamic High School. A quantitative pre-experimental approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed on 30 purposively selected Class X students. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and observational instruments, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, and a paired-samples t-test (α = 0.05) in SPSS. Results showed a significant increase in learning interest (M = 55.73 to M = 85.37) and motivation (M = 57.50 to M = 88.20), both with p = 0.000. Observations confirmed heightened student enthusiasm, collaboration, and interaction. Game-based learning is found to be effective in enhancing students' interest and motivation in history learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of constitutional values ​​through Pancasila Education in character building of students at Muhammadiyah Senior High School in Makassar City, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine teacher strategies in the process of internalizing values. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques with the principal, Pancasila Education teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña with validity testing through triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the internalization of constitutional values ​​is implemented integratively through intracurricular learning, school culture, and character building that forms nationalism, democracy, responsibility, tolerance, legal awareness, justice, and mutual cooperation. The main supporting factors include school culture, teacher role models, school leadership, and parental involvement, while social media and low discipline are the dominant obstacles. The novelty of this study produces the Constitutional Character Ecosystem Model, which emphasizes that the formation of constitutional character is the result of the interaction between constitutional learning, school culture, teacher role models, and continuous character building.
