Abstract

Penerapan Computational Thinking (CT) dalam pembelajaran matematika semakin penting karena mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis, sistematis, dan pemecahan masalah. Namun, guru di SDN 217 Palembang belum memiliki pemahaman yang memadai mengenai konsep CT dan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis CT. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman guru mengenai konsep CT serta penggunaan media flashcard berbasis CT dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, implementasi, evaluasi, dan keberlanjutan program dengan melibatkan 16 guru sekolah mitra. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes pretest-posttest berupa 10 soal pilihan ganda yang mengukur pemahaman konsep CT dan penggunaan media flashcard berbasis CT. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan skor dan persentase jawaban benar peserta. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor peserta meningkat dari 45 pada pretest menjadi 81,25 pada posttest, dengan peningkatan sebesar 36,25 poin. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman guru mengenai CT dan penggunaan media flashcard berbasis CT dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study investigates approaches to teaching mathematical proof at the middle school level through a systematic literature review, focusing on a key challenge in mathematics education: the difficulty students face in transitioning from empirical to deductive reasoning. Mathematical proof is a foundational element of mathematical reasoning, yet many students struggle with this shift. This study synthesizes empirical research on instructional approaches, particularly those that integrate technology, such as dynamic geometry software, augmented reality (AR), and digital learning tools, to improve students' proof skills. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, a systematic review was conducted with searches in Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2014 and 2025. Forty-two empirical studies met the inclusion criteria. The findings highlight that technology-enhanced approaches, especially the use of dynamic geometry software, significantly improve students' abilities in proof construction, validation, and reasoning compared to conventional methods. Furthermore, the study identifies common challenges faced by teachers, including limited pedagogical content knowledge and difficulties in guiding students through the transition to formal proof. The review underscores the need to integrate inquiry-based learning and technology tools to foster deeper understanding of proofs at the middle school level. The study’s contribution lies in synthesizing diverse instructional strategies and providing evidence-based insights for future educational practices. Implications for practice and future research are also discussed.

Abstract

In the digital era that requires young generations to think critically, creatively, and adaptively, Computational Thinking (CT) has become an essential skill for addressing 21st-century challenges. This study aims to develop a GeoGebra-assisted digital student worksheet (LKPD) on the topic of Linear Equation in One Variable (PLSV) using the context of smoking hazards to support students’ CT skills. The research employed a design research method of the development studies type, consisting of three phases: preliminary research, development or prototyping, and assessment, involving seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 32 Palembang. Expert validation results showed an average validity score of 87.05% (very valid category), while the practicality test obtained 84.08% (practical category). Students found the digital LKPD engaging, easy to use, and helpful for understanding concepts through contextual videos and embedded GeoGebra explorations. Therefore, the developed digital LKPD is considered valid and practical, making it a feasible and innovative learning material to support students’ Computational Thinking skills in learning Linear Equations in One Variable.
