Abstract

Edukasi literasi keuangan sejak usia dini merupakan upaya strategis dalam membentuk perilaku finansial yang bertanggung jawab pada anak. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan dampak kegiatan edukasi menabung bagi siswa kelas IV dan V di SD Negeri 15 Sungai Taleh. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui metode edukatif dan partisipatif, meliputi penggunaan celengan pribadi, pencatatan tabungan harian, serta penguatan nilai disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Subjek kegiatan adalah siswa sekolah dasar yang terlibat langsung dalam seluruh rangkaian program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat, kesadaran, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam membiasakan perilaku menabung secara konsisten. Pendekatan yang terstruktur dan menyenangkan terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan pemahaman dasar literasi keuangan serta membentuk perilaku finansial positif sejak usia dini. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model edukasi literasi keuangan yang aplikatif dan berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Financial literacy education from an early age is a strategic effort to shape responsible financial behavior in children. This article aims to describe the implementation and impact of savings education activities for fourth- and fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 15 Sungai Taleh. This community service program was conducted using an educative and participatory approach, including the use of personal savings boxes, daily savings record-keeping, and the reinforcement of values such as discipline and responsibility. The subjects of the activity were elementary school students who were directly involved in all stages of the program. The results indicate an increase in students’ interest, awareness, and active participation in consistently practicing saving habits. A structured and enjoyable approach proved effective in instilling basic financial literacy understanding and fostering positive financial behavior from an early age. This program is expected to serve as an applicable and sustainable model for financial literacy education in elementary school settings.
