Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems play a strategic role in maintaining the balance of the coastal environment while simultaneously supporting the local economy, particularly through commodities such as mangrove crabs. However, the relationship between conservation and productivity is often fraught with tension, particularly when economic pressures and external interventions are not aligned with local value systems. This study aims to examine the socio-economic construction of coastal communities in Bone Regency. A qualitative approach was used, using a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data were then analyzed thematically, supported by the theoretical frameworks of Berger & Luckmann, Bourdieu, and Giddens. The research findings indicate that communities collectively understand mangroves as both ecological and economic entities, shaped by empirical experience and local values. This construction directly impacts attitudes toward conservation: communities that view mangroves as part of life are more likely to preserve them. However, short-term economic pressures, unequal access to information, and decontextualized intervention programs create a paradox between the needs of productivity and sustainability. The study concludes that successful conservation depends not only on an ecological approach alone, but also on a deep understanding of the social logic of coastal communities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of library users in using information sources available at the Bosowa University Library. Librarians at the Bosowa University Library assist library users to support improving their literacy skills in meeting their information needs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to understand library users' literacy behavior through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that library users at the Bosowa University Library have sufficient literacy skills to browse and utilize digital and printed materials. To meet their academic information needs, most users utilize online catalogs, e-journals, and print collections.

Abstract

Transformasi Kota Jayapura dan wilayah Danau Sentani menampilkan ketimpangan yang semakin melebar antara Orang Asli Papua (OAP) dan Kelompok Pendatang. Penelitian ini menyajikan sintesis kritis berdasarkan studi literatur yang dipilih melalui penyaringan berdasarkan relevansi dengan tema, yaitu ekonomi politik papua, integrasi pasar dan ketimpangan ekonomi, serta diprioritaskan dari publikasi tahun 2000–2025 untuk menangkap perubahan kontemporer yang terjadi, meskipun literatur klasik juga disertakan. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam dua dekade terakhir, ketidaknetralan yang terjadi melalui struktur kekuasaan yang mengontrol tanah, modal, dan peluang ekonomi, menyebabkan komunitas Danau Sentani mengalami perampasan dan marginalisasi. Ketimpangan pendapatan rumah tangga OAP disebabkan oleh relasi kekuasaan dan ekspansi kapital. Artikel ini menyoroti kesenjangan penelitian dan memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk meningkatkan akses pasar serta mengurangi marginalisasi ekonomi OAP perkotaan.

Abstract

Masyarakat menghadapi era perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat masif. Meskipun hal ini berdampak positif dengan memberikan kemudahan, hal ini juga menjadi tantangan era post-truth berupa maraknya disinformasi dan hoaks di media sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk kepedulian tim pengabdi terhadap fenomena tersebut, tujuannya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital siswa SMAN 7 Jayapura. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi berbasis ceramah interaktif dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan storytelling, kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu: tahap persiapan yang terdiri dari koordinasi, identifikasi kebutuhan, dan wawancara. Tahap pelaksanaan merupakan implementasi pemaparan materi literasi digital, identifikasi hoaks, verifikasi informasi, dan etika digital. Tahap evaluasi terdiri atas diskusi dan refleksi peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta belum memiliki pemahaman mendalam mengenai literasi digital secara sistematis. Diskusi mengungkap bahwa peserta masih memiliki kesadaran rendah terhadap keamanan akun serta kecenderungan untuk menerima informasi berdasarkan kedekatan relasional tanpa melakukan penelusuran terhadap sumber berita. Refleksi akhir mendorong terbentuknya kesadaran diri untuk menjadi pribadi yang lebih bertanggung jawab dalam ekosistem digital.Kata Kunci: Literasi digital, Post-truth, Hoaks, Pemberdayaan siswa

Abstract

Conflict Mapping is a critically important analytical instrument in the study of peace and conflict resolution. This paper aims to provide an overview of two conflict mapping models, namely SIPABIO DAN SPITCEROW. Drawing on a literature review of relevant scholarly articles, this paper elaborates on the concepts, characteristics, and comparison of the two conflict mapping models. The findings indicate that SIPPABIO possesses elements that excel in unraveling the initial picture of a conflict, with the model emphasizing the psychological and relational dimensions of conflict. Meanwhile, SPITCEROW contains elements that help reconstruct the dynamics and escalation of conflict. These two mapping models are complementary and can be used for a more comprehensive conflict analysis. Through this paper, the author recommends that the selection of a model should depend on the research objectives, the characteristics of the conflict, and other contextual factors surrounding the conflict under study.
