Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal leadership and teacher performance on student learning achievement at MTs Persis Cibatu Garut, addressing the decline in exam scores and low affective dimensions. A descriptive-analytical quantitative approach was employed. The research population included all teachers, utilizing validated and reliable questionnaire instruments. Data analysis involved simple and multiple linear regression, alongside classical assumption tests. Principal leadership (74.44%), teacher performance (83.22%), and learning achievement (73.77%) are in the good category. Leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance (R² = 13,9%) and learning achievement R² = 47,2%, Beta = 0,687). Teacher performance also has a significant effect on learning achievement (R² = 47,2%, Beta = 0,687). Simultaneously, both variables contribute 64.2% to student learning achievement F calculated = 25,947 > F table = 3,15 This phenomenon confirms that managerial collaboration and optimization of teachers' pedagogical competence are the ultimate keys to boosting graduate quality. This study provides a specific empirical mapping for private Islamic schools, identifying transactional leadership aspects and students' affective dimensions as critical operational points that require sustained strategic interventions.

Abstract

Indonesia’s tourist villages are expanding, yet many “superior” villages struggle to translate growth into accountable and sustainable governance. This study synthesizes evidence on how human resources, public services, and social media strengthen village-level tourism administration. Drawing on sustainable tourism governance, collaborative governance, and smart tourism perspectives, we conducted a PRISMA 2020–guided systematic literature review of Scopus Q1 journals (2015–2026). From 80 screened records, 30 articles met eligibility and were analyzed through iterative thematic coding. Results indicate governance improves when (1) HR capacity building embeds sustainability and digital competencies, (2) public services are digitized to standardize processes, enhance transparency, and improve service quality, and (3) social media is managed as participatory feedback and branding infrastructure. Yet digital divides and resource constraints may erode gains unless policy instruments and cross-sector partnerships provide enabling support. We propose an integrated three-step governance model aligned with ESG, emphasizing social and governance dimensions for rural destinations. Abstract

This study is motivated by the crucial urgency of the madrasah principal's leadership role in responding to the declining fluctuation in student learning achievement due to suboptimal student involvement and teacher work motivation. The main objective of this study is to identify and empirically analyze the direct and indirect effects of the madrasah principal's leadership on teacher work motivation and its impact on realizing improved student learning achievement at MTs Al-Ashdariyah Pakenjeng Garut. Using a causal-effectual quantitative approach, this survey research involved a census population of 30 teachers. Primary data were collected through Likert scale questionnaires, supported by observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) technique with SmartPLS software. The results convincingly prove that the madrasah principal's leadership has a positive and highly significant effect on teacher work motivation. Furthermore, teacher work motivation is proven to have a positive and significant effect on improving student learning achievement. The novelty of this study confirms that teacher work motivation acts as a highly effective mediator bridging the influence of the madrasah principal's leadership on student academic achievement. Strengthening managerial innovation and supervision is recommended for education quality.
