Abstract

The increasing amount of brocade and lace scrap waste in the kebaya industry in Bali has become a major environmental problem and an opportunity for sustainable textile material innovation. This study aims to develop textile materials through innovative fabric manipulation techniques with tile trapping techniques and exploration in the use of color combinations, namely analogous, complementary, and monochromatic colors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an experimental method consisting of three main stages: observation is carried out by identifying the type of brocade, fabric thickness, fabric motif, and size of the brocade scrap. The experiment produced three material prototypes based on the color scheme, then conducted a final evaluation which was carried out visually to assess the appearance aspects of color harmony, motif, texture, neatness of stitching, and material strength. The results show that the tile trapping technique is able to combine brocade scraps with various sizes and fabric motifs into a new textile material that is stable and functional. The analogous color scheme produces a harmonious impression, the complementary color scheme provides a strong visual contrast, while the monochromatic color scheme creates a unified and soft impression. This research contributes to the development of sustainable textile material innovation and supports environmentally friendly fashion practices based on Bali's local potential.

Abstract

This study analyzes the narrative structure of the SORE: Wife from the Future with a focus on the time loop pattern and its integration with time travel elements. The main objective of this study is to examine how the temporal configuration in this film works and to identify possible extensions to the time loop typology formulated by Brütsch. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with narrative and interpretive analysis methods of the scenes, dialogues, and time repetition structure in the film. The results show that SORE: Wife from the Future does not fully fit into the four existing variants of the time loop typology, but rather combines the characteristics of several variants simultaneously. This film introduces a hybrid form that combines an external mission (preventing death) and internal transformation (inner healing), as well as uniting time travel and time loops in a cohesive structure. These findings encourage the formulation of a fifth variant in the time loop typology and demonstrate the relevance of the hypertime approach in explaining the logic of transitions between timelines. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interactive videos in overcoming visibility constraints and students' psychological anxiety in traditional dance learning. Employing a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and Likert scale questionnaires from 30 8th-grade students and 1 teacher at SMP Nasional Denpasar. The results show that the slow motion and multi-angle features significantly reduce visual distortion, thereby increasing the accuracy of students' complex movement interpretations. Psychopedagogically, the use of personal devices successfully created a "safe space" that frees students from the pressure of social surveillance. This drastically reduced academic anxiety and encouraged students to practice freely and independently. Through the self-assessment mechanism, an 86.7% increase in student self-confidence was recorded. This interactive video also proved effective in distributing the teacher's instructional load. In conclusion, this media is highly effective as a pedagogical solution to facilitate learning autonomy and eliminate mental barriers during practice. Learning time becomes more efficient, providing educators with ample guidance space to focus on the transfer of aesthetic values and soulful expressions (wirasa).
