Abstract

Intensive agricultural expansion has contributed to biodiversity loss, soil degradation, and reduced ecosystem resilience, raising urgent concerns for sustainable farming systems. Agroecological strategies offer an alternative approach by emphasizing ecological interactions and biodiversity-based farming practices. This study aims to analyze the role of agroecological strategies in promoting biodiversity and enhancing sustainability in agricultural systems. A qualitative-dominant mixed-methods design is employed using comparative ecological analysis, secondary biodiversity datasets, and field-based qualitative observations. Data are analyzed through comparative indicators of species richness, soil organic matter, pollinator abundance, and ecosystem resilience across conventional and agroecological farming systems. Results indicate that agroecological systems significantly outperform conventional systems, with higher species richness (8.4 vs 4.1), improved soil organic matter (5.7% vs 2.3%), greater pollinator abundance (92 vs 35 units/ha), and enhanced ecosystem resilience (0.88 vs 0.54). Findings also demonstrate improved yield stability and stronger ecological interactions in diversified farming landscapes. The study concludes that agroecological strategies play a critical role in enhancing biodiversity and promoting sustainable farming systems by strengthening ecological interactions and reducing dependency on external inputs, thereby supporting long-term agricultural resilience and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Emotional regulation has emerged as a critical component of students’ socio-emotional development, particularly in primary school settings where behavioral adjustment and academic engagement are essential for effective learning. In classroom contexts, students are required to manage emotions such as frustration, anxiety, and excitement while responding to instructional demands and social interactions. Understanding the role of emotional regulation is therefore fundamental to explaining variations in classroom behavior and academic performance among young learners. This study aims to examine the role of emotional regulation in predicting classroom behavior and academic performance in primary school students. A quantitative correlational research design was employed involving primary school students from upper elementary grades. Data were collected using standardized emotional regulation scales, teacher-rated classroom behavior instruments, and documented academic performance records. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression testing. The results indicate that emotional regulation is significantly associated with adaptive classroom behavior and positively related to academic performance. Emotional regulation also emerged as a significant predictor of classroom behavior and learning outcomes, highlighting its central role in supporting effective learning processes. The study concludes that emotional regulation is a foundational skill that influences how students behave and perform academically in primary school. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating emotional regulation development into instructional practices and educational frameworks to foster both behavioral adjustment and academic success.

Abstract

The climate crisis has emerged as one of the most pressing global challenges, affecting not only environmental sustainability but also socio-economic structures across nations. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and ecological degradation have profound implications for vulnerable populations, particularly in terms of their capacity for social mobility and access to economic opportunities. This study examines the interconnectedness between climate change impacts and patterns of social and economic inequality, focusing on how environmental disruptions exacerbate barriers to upward mobility and reduce overall economic well-being. The main objective of this research is to analyze the extent to which climate-related stressors influence socio-economic dynamics, especially among low-income and marginalized communities. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines statistical analysis of secondary global data with case studies drawn from three climate-vulnerable regions: Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. Quantitative data were sourced from global databases such as the World Bank and IPCC reports, while qualitative insights were obtained through structured interviews and local policy document analysis. Findings reveal a strong correlation between climate vulnerability and reduced social mobility. Communities exposed to recurrent climate shocks tend to experience diminished income security, disrupted education pathways, and limited employment opportunities. These effects are particularly acute in regions with weak institutional support and limited adaptive infrastructure. The study concludes that the climate crisis is not only an environmental issue but also a significant socio-economic threat that demands integrated policy responses. Addressing climate justice and economic resilience simultaneously is crucial to safeguarding future opportunities for upward mobility.

Abstract

Background. The increasing demand for transparency in global supply chains has prompted the exploration of emerging technologies such as blockchain. In particular, the application of distributed ledger technology (DLT) in fair trade industries has the potential to enhance accountability, traceability, and ethical sourcing practices. This study examines the use of blockchain in the fair trade coffee sector, where transparency is crucial to ensure that producers receive fair compensation and consumers can trust the authenticity of ethical claims. Purpose. The primary aim of this research is to investigate how blockchain technology can improve transparency and efficiency in the coffee supply chain, from farm to consumer. Method. The study employs a case study methodology, focusing on a fair trade coffee cooperative that implemented blockchain to track the journey of coffee beans. Qualitative interviews with stakeholders, including farmers, distributors, and consumers, were conducted to gather insights into the practical applications and challenges of blockchain in this context. Results. The findings indicate that blockchain enhances transparency by providing immutable records of transactions, but challenges related to technology adoption, cost, and scalability remain. Conclusion. The study concludes that while blockchain shows promise for social good in fair trade coffee, further research and development are needed to address the limitations and expand its implementation across the industry.
