Abstract

Pancasila Student Profile has become a central focus in Indonesian education through the establishment of competency and character standards for students. The Pancasila Student Profile is closely aligned with the primary objectives of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, some students at SMP Islam Pegandon still demonstrate inappropriate behavior toward peers and teachers and show limited respect for others. This study aims to describe the implementation of Dimension 1 of the Pancasila Student Profile in PAI learning at SMP Islam Pegandon and its impact on students’ character formation and spiritual attitudes. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that the implementation of Dimension 1 in PAI learning encompasses several indicators related to religious morals, personal morals, social morals, environmental morals, and civic morals. The implementation also contributed to positive behavioral changes among students, increased religiosity, reduced bullying cases, and strengthened students’ awareness in maintaining the school’s good reputation.

Abstract

The waste bank development initiative in West Kedungwuni Village, started by KKN students from UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, seeks to enhance the efficiency of sustainable, community-driven waste management. The approach utilized is participatory, involving outreach, training, and community guidance in waste sorting and processing. The outcomes of the activities indicate that the waste bank serves as both a waste storage facility and a platform for community empowerment and local economic enhancement. Innovations created consist of crafting pencil cases from recycled plastic bottles, transforming used cooking oil into scented candles, converting organic waste into biowash, and employing a smoke-free waste incinerator. This initiative offers two advantages: it decreases environmental pollution and enhances the well-being of the community, particularly for homemakers. Nonetheless, challenges like inadequate skills, funding, and marketing persist and must be addressed via continuous mentoring, enhancing marketing networks, and institutional backing. In general, the waste bank development strategy has demonstrated to be a comprehensive method that can tackle environmental, social, and economic factors in the pursuit of sustainable waste management.
