Abstract

Broiler chickens in Indonesia have good prospects to develop. However, there are many obstacles that must be faced by broiler breeders, such as soaring prices of feed and medicine, harvest prices that tend to fluctuate, and the outbreak of bird flu that has not yet been found.  The objective of the experiment was to investigate the effectiveness of treating broiler with temulawak and kunyit extracts to enhance productivity and as imunostimulator of avian influenza.  Broiler were given either temulawak, kunyit or temulawak+kunyit extracts. The treatments, including a control, were arranged in a factorial design. Variables measured were production index and immune titter with haemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test at 35 days of age.Results showet that control, temulawak, kunyit and temulawak+ kunyit treated chicken have production indexes of 302,10; 387,11; 324,52; and 354,70, respectively. Haemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test result were all negative. It can be concluded that neither temulawak, kunyit or temulawak+ kunyit extracts is effective immunostimulator of avian influenza in broiler. Nevertheless, temulawak-treated chicken showed highest production index.Key Words : Temulawak, Kunyit, Avian Influenza, Haemaglutination Inhibition

Abstract

The Study of supply chain risk in shallot commodity needs to take more concern. This is related to the increasing number of risks that faced in different the Industrial and business world. Based on these risks, currently the condition of the Shallot commodity supply chain performance is less than expected. In Relations of existence of risks in the supply chain, risk management plays an important role in keeping the supply chain system in order to be not disrupted. Risk Management is the part. Risk management is an integral part of the management process that runs continuously to minimize losses either increase opportunities or opportunities. This risk management process starts from the process of risk identification, risk assessment, mitigation, monitoring and evaluation. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the risk of supply chain shallot commodity. The Step that has to do is risk identification, risk analyze, and risk evaluation of supply chain. House of Risk (HOR) model is the method that used to identification, analyze, and evaluation the risk of shallot commodity.

Abstract

Purpose – To design an integrated halal risk mitigation strategy for the chicken meat supply chain of Indonesia. The primary focus is on identifying critical points that have the potential to threaten halal integrity from upstream to downstream in the supply chain.Methodology – This research approach uses a combination of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods to identify and measure the level of risk at each stage of the supply chain, and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the priority of mitigation strategies based on expert perspectives. Findings – The results showed that the poultry slaughterhouse stage is the most critical point in maintaining halal products, with a priority weight of 0.51, followed by farms (0.30), and retail (0.19). The main risks identified included uncertainty in the validation of the slaughter method, non-compliance of feed and medicine with halal standards, and weak traceability of product origin in retail. Implications – This research provides strategic contributions for policymakers, halal certification institutions, and business actors to strengthen the governance of the national halal supply chain. Applying the research results can improve the effectiveness of supervision and ensure compliance with Sharia principles as a whole.Originality – The uniqueness of this study lies in integrating the FMEA and AHP methods in the context of the halal supply chain, which is still limited in Indonesian literature. This approach offers an evidence-based strategic framework for systematic and sustainable halal risk management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman bobot badan dan ukuran tubuh, serta menganalisis jarak genetik ayam kampung di Kecamatan Leihitu Barat, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan pengukuran sampel 196 ekor ayam jantan dan betina dewasa dari lima desa yaitu Hatu, Liliboy, Allang, Wakasihu, dan Larike yang mewakili populasi ayam kampung. Variabel morfometrik yang diamati meliputi bobot badan, lingkar dada, panjang sayap, panjang paha, panjang betis, panjang shank, panjang jari ketiga, dan lebar pubis. Analisis statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menghitung rata-rata, simpangan baku, dan koefisien keragaman, sementara analisis diskriminan kanonik untuk mengidentifikasi variabel morfometrik yang paling berpengaruh dalam membedakan subpopulasi ayam kampung menurut desa. Jarak genetik antar subpopulasi dihitung berdasarkan perbedaan karakter ukuran tubuh dan divisualisasikan dalam bentuk fenogram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bobot badan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh ayam kampung di Kecamatan Leihitu Barat memiliki tingkat keragaman yang tinggi antara satu desa dengan desa lainnya, dan ayam jantan memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih besar daripada ayam betina juga baik bobot badan maupun semua sifat ukuran tubuh yang diukur. Panjang jari ketiga merupakan ukuran tubuh yang paling berperan dalam membedakan subpopulasi ayam kampung. Berdasarkan jarak genetiknya, subpopulasi ayam kampung di Desa Larike dan Liliboy memiiki hubungan kekerabatan paling dekat, diikuti oleh Desa Hatu dan Allang yang juga dekat dan membentuk satu kelompok genetik yang homogen, dan Desa Wakasihu menunjukkan jarak genetik paling jauh, membentuk klaster tersendiri. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the diversity of body weight and body size, and analyze the genetic distance of native chickens in Leihitu Barat District, Central Maluku Regency. Data were collected through observation and measurement of samples of 196 adult male and female chickens from five villages, namely Hatu, Liliboy, Allang, Wakasihu, and Larike, which represent the native chicken population. The morphometric variables observed included body weight, chest circumference, wing length, thigh length, calf length, shank length, third toe length, and pubic width. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to calculate the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation, while canonical discriminant analysis was used to identify the most influential morphometric variables in differentiating native chicken subpopulations according to village. Genetic distance between subpopulations was calculated based on differences in body size characters and visualized in the form of a phenogram. The results of the study showed that the body weight and body measurements of native chickens in West Leihitu District still have a high level of diversity between one village and another, and roosters have a greater average value than hens also in all body size traits measured. The length of the third toe is the body measurements that play the most role in distinguishing the subpopulations of native chickens. Based on their genetic distance, the subpopulations of native chickens in Larike and Liliboy Villages have the closest kinship relationship, followed by Hatu and Allang Villages, which are also close and form a homogeneous genetic group, and Wakasihu Village shows the farthest genetic distance, forming its own cluster.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of optimizing the implementation of digital marketing to increase the brand awareness of Wanurejo Tourism Village as a highly competitive, community-based tourism destination. The main issues identified were the low level of brand awareness, inconsistent digital image, and content quality that has not yet been able to optimally represent the uniqueness and potential of the village. This activity was conducted through a phased content marketing approach over three years, with stages of optimization, evaluation, and strategy consolidation. The methods used included technical training, narrative content production, participatory observation, and data-based evaluation using social media analytics. The results showed that an adaptive, data-driven digital marketing strategy focused on relevant and engaging content can increase audience reach, improve the village’s digital image perception, and strengthen community participation in tourism promotion. The conclusion of this activity highlights the importance of integrating structured content strategies with the strengthening of local capacity to support the sustainable, independent promotion of the tourism village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh lama simpan daging ayam petelur afkir yang dimarinasi larutan asam jawa 10% terhadap kualitas kimia dan fisik meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, cooking loss dan cooking yield selama penyimpanan pada suhu refrigerator 4ºC. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu UPA Taman Agroteknologi Universitas Tidar menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, yaitu P0 = 0 hari, P1 = 4 hari, P2 = 8 hari, dan P3 = 12 hari. Marinasi asam jawa 10% dilakukan selama 30 menit. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, cooking loss dan cooking yield. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan dilanjutkan uji ANOVA taraf 5% atau uji Kruskal-Wallis jika tidak normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama simpan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter. Rataan kadar air 71,90%–74,40%, kadar abu 0,84%–1,03%, cooking loss 27,46%–31,36%, dan cooking yield 68,62%–72,53%. Lama penyimpanan daging ayam petelur afkir yang dimarinasi asam jawa 10% selama 30 menit pada suhu refrigerator 4ºC dapat mempertahankan kualitas kimia dan fisik hingga 12 hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ekstrak daun adas (Foeniculum vulgare Mill) terhadap organoleptik dan mutu sabun susu kambing batangan, serta untuk mengetahui kadar penambahan ekstrak daun adas yang paling baik. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu minyak kelapa, minyak zaitun, minyak sawit, NaOH, susu kambing, ekstrak daun adas. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P1 = tanpa penambahan ekstrak daun adas, P2 = penambahan ekstrak daun adas 3,5 %, dan P3 = penambahan ekstrak daun adas 7 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun adas pada sabun susu kambing batangan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap warna, aroma, pH, dan alkali bebas. Tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air. Berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 06-3532-2021 pH sediaan sabun pada penelitian ini belum memenuhi ketentuan, sedangkan kadar air dan alkali bebas pada perlakuan 3 dengan penambahan ekstrak daun adas 7 % sudah sesuai berdasarkan ketentuan SNI. Sehingga penambahan ekstrak daun adas 7 % pada sabun susu kambing batangan memberikan perlakuan yang terbaik.

Abstract

The growth of microorganisms causes spoiled milk. One of the milk processing technologies that are not easily damaged is the manufacture of yogurt by fermentation method. During the fermentation process, the use of starter lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus salivarius account for 10% of total milk. Meanwhile, natural additives used to increase the value of creativity is a natural dye from purple sweet potato flour. The purpose of making cow's milk yogurt can be an alternative to milk processing and physical quality assessment, the level of preference of panelists to yogurt with purple sweet potato flour. Manufacture of cow's milk yogurt plus purple sweet potato flour with a complete randomized design (RAL) of four treatments of five replications, namely concentrations of 0%, 8%, 10%, and 12%. The parameters in this study are color, texture, aroma, taste and overall acceptance. Based on the results of research, the highest average value of color is 12% 4.01, texture is 0% 3.06, aroma is 12% 2.62 and taste is 0% 2.68, while the highest average value of hedonic test is color is 12% 3.72, texture is 0% 3.24, aroma is 0% 3.02, taste is 0% 2.72 and overall acceptance is 0% 3.03. Organoleptic and hedonic tests covering texture, aroma, color, taste, and overall acceptance were significantly different, while the color was not significantly different. It was concluded that the addition of purple yam flour concentration can be used as an additional ingredient in yogurt processing, because it can improve physical characteristics

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Kemajuan teknologi digital menawarkan peluang baru bagi sektor pertanian; namun, petani di Desa Sukamaju, Kabupaten Bandung, terus menghadapi keterbatasan akses dan kapasitas dalam memanfaatkan perangkat Internet of Things (IoT) dan platform pemasaran digital. Inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini diimplementasikan menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Aksi Partisipatif (PAR) untuk memastikan bahwa petani bertindak sebagai pencipta bersama yang aktif, bukan penerima pasif. Intervensi tersebut terdiri dari pelatihan produksi berbasis IoT yang terstruktur, peningkatan kapasitas pemasaran digital, dan pendampingan berulang yang didukung oleh evaluasi pra-uji dan pasca-uji. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan substansial dalam literasi digital dan kemampuan operasional, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 48,6 menjadi 81,3. Di luar literasi, program ini menghasilkan peningkatan pendapatan penjualan sebesar 23% dan pengurangan penggunaan air irigasi sebesar 18%, menunjukkan peningkatan baik dalam akses pasar maupun efisiensi sumber daya. Strategi partisipatif lebih lanjut mengurangi kendala infrastruktur lokal dengan mengintegrasikan penggunaan perangkat bersama, modul pelatihan offline, dan mekanisme dukungan berbasis masyarakat. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi aplikasi IoT dan pemasaran digital memberikan landasan yang terukur untuk keberlanjutan pedesaan jangka panjang dan daya saing di sektor pertanian. Kata Kunci: Internet of Things, literasi digital, pemberdayaan masyarakat, pemasaran digital, smart farming [English]: Advances in digital technology offer new opportunities for the agricultural sector; however, farmers in Sukamaju Village, Bandung Regency, continue to face limited access and capacity in utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) devices and digital marketing platforms. This community service program was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to ensure that farmers act as active co-creators rather than passive recipients. The intervention comprises structured IoT-based production training, digital marketing capacity-building, and repetitive mentoring, all supported by pre- and post-test evaluations. Results showed substantial improvements in digital literacy and operational ability, with the average score increasing from 48.6 to 81.3. Beyond literacy, the program led to a 23% increase in sales revenue and an 18% reduction in irrigation water usage, demonstrating improvements in both market access and resource efficiency. Participatory strategies further reduce local infrastructure constraints by integrating the use of shared devices, offline training modules, and community-based support mechanisms. These results demonstrate that integrating IoT applications and digital marketing provides a measurable foundation for long-term rural sustainability and competitiveness in the agricultural sector.
