Abstract

This article aims to analyze the fundamental concept of public relations ethics and its position within educational management. The method employed is a literature review involving an examination of laws and regulations, public relations governance guidelines, professional codes of ethics for public relations practitioners, and relevant Indonesian journal articles concerning communication ethics, educational public relations, public services, and educational institution governance. The findings indicate that public relations ethics serves as a moral and professional foundation that guides educational institutions in delivering information honestly, transparently, proportionally, and accountably while protecting students’ privacy. Within educational management, public relations ethics functions as a guiding principle in the planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of institutional communication. In this capacity, public relations ethics not only serves to maintain the institution’s image but also strengthens public trust, prevents information-related conflicts, improves service quality, and supports professional, participatory, and accountable educational governance.

Abstract

Abstract

Islamic Cultural History (ICH) learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah plays an important role in developing students' historical knowledge, character, and Islamic values. However, ICH instruction still faces several challenges, including the dominance of lecture-based teaching, low student engagement, and the limited implementation of innovative instructional strategies. This article aims to examine the integration of expository, inquiry, and contextual approaches as an innovative strategy for ICH learning. The study employed a Narrative Literature Review method using content analysis to examine secondary data from books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and other relevant scholarly documents. The findings indicate that integrating these three approaches can create a more active, meaningful, and student-centered learning process. The expository approach provides a systematic foundation of knowledge, the inquiry approach develops students' critical thinking skills, while the contextual approach connects historical content with real-life experiences. This integrated strategy has the potential to enhance students' learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and internalization of Islamic character values. Its successful implementation requires improved teacher competence, adequate learning resources, and instructional strategies that accommodate students' characteristics.

Abstract

Authentic evaluation is an assessment approach that emphasizes students' ability to apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes through tasks relevant to real life. In Islamic Cultural History (ISHC) learning, the application of project-based assessment is one form of authentic evaluation that can develop students' competencies comprehensively. This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based assessment in ISHC learning at an elementary school, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze its impact on student learning outcomes. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the head of the school, ISHC teachers, and students. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of project-based assessment in ISHC learning can improve students' understanding of Islamic history concepts, critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, communication, and strengthening of religious character. The projects given were in the form of making Islamic history posters, documentary videos, maps of Islamic missionary journeys, and portfolios of Islamic figures. Assessment was conducted using a rubric covering aspects of planning, process, product results, presentation, and student reflection. Obstacles encountered included limited learning time, teachers' ability to develop authentic assessment instruments, and limited supporting resources.

Abstract

Mathematics and science education often face challenges related to students’ difficulty in understanding abstract and complex concepts. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzes the application of hypnosis in learning based on 67 articles from the Scopus, Taylor & Francis, CrossRef, ProQuest, Wiley Online Library, and JSTOR databases. The results show that the majority of studies focused on higher education (24 studies), followed by high school (20 studies), middle school (13 studies), and elementary school (10 studies). Based on geographic distribution, Indonesia contributed the most with 15 studies, followed by Germany and Japan. The findings confirm that positive suggestion and relaxation techniques in hypnosis are proven effective in improving focus, alleviating academic anxiety, and enhancing students’ motivation to learn. In conclusion, hypnosis has great potential to serve as an innovative method for supporting more effective, holistic, and adaptive learning in mathematics and science across various educational levels.
