Abstract

Stunting menyebabkan buruknya kemampuan kognitif, rendahnya produktivitas, serta meningkatnya risiko penyakit. Pijat bayi merupakan salah satu terapi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah stunting pada anak balita karena dapat meringankan proses pencernaan dan meningkatkan nafsu makan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pengetahuan Ibu Bayi Dengan Penerapan Terapi Komplementer Pijat Bayi Terkait Upaya Pencegahan Stunting. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat Analitik Correlational. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ibu yang memiliki bayi berusia 0 – 12 bulan yang berjumlah 190 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data bivariat dilakukan dengan uji  Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebagian besar yaitu 104 orang (54,7%) memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang pijat bayi, sebagian besar responden yaitu 137 orang (72,1%) menerapkan terapi komplementer pijat bayi pada bayinya dan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu bayi dengan penerapan terapi komplementer pijat bayi (nilai p = 0,000). Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan pijat bayi lebih disosialisasikan kepada ibu bayi sehingga mereka mengetahui informasi tentang pijat bayi dan bagaimana cara melakukan pijat bayi yang baik dan benar.   Kata Kunci: pengetahuan ibu, penerapan, pijat bayi.

Abstract

Breastmilk is a source of nutrition that is ideal because of its balanced composition and is the most perfect for baby's needs, both in quality and quantity. The scope of exclusive breastfeeding is indeed increasing every year but is still below target. To increase the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding requires a stimulation of a massage baby. One of the basic mechanisms of baby massage is the activity of the vagus nerve increases the volume of milk and better absorption so that the baby is hungry quickly and will suckle more often to his mother. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of baby massage on the frequency and duration of breastfeeding infants aged 0-6 months. The design of this study is Quasi Experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of this study totaled 30 respondents (15 babies as a control group and 15 babies as treatment groups) with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used is a standard operating procedures of Baby Massage, Observation Forms of Frequency and Breastfeeding Duration of Babies Age 0-6 Months. Bivariate data analysis using the Mann Whitney test and T-test independent test. The results of the study found that there was a significant difference in frequency and duration of breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months in treatment group and control group (P = 0.001 and P = 0.016). This proves the baby massage is very useful in helping exclusive breastfeeding achievement if done routinely.

Abstract

Background: Affective touch aims to convey affection to children. This touch is closely related to emotional needs and social bonds, which strengthen relationships between individuals. Children in orphanages often experience a lack of affective touch, which causes persistent stress.Objectives: To determine caregivers' perceptions of the social-emotional development of babies and children who receive baby massage as daily affective touch at the Metta Mama and Maggha Foundations.Methods: This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. The sample consisted of 25 caregivers, using the total population. Data was collected through focus group discussions (FGDs), with each group consisting of 8-9 caregivers.Results: Some participants have the perception that a socially healthy child is a child who is able to adapt and interact with others, some participants have the perception that children need social-emotional aspects such as the need for affection, attention, the need to be loved, a sense of security, and a desire to be understood, some participants have the perception that the role of caregivers is very large because it replaces the role of parents, most participants said that baby massage has been done on children aged 0-6 months, some participants have the perception that baby massage can affect the calmness, comfort of babies so that they can be more optimal in carrying out daily activities, some participants have the perception that children who are socially-emotionally healthy behave more understandingly, confidently and more quickly accept the information given and all participants have the perception that it is very important to apply parenting patterns with touch, because of the lack of touch in orphanages.Conclusions: According to caregivers at the Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation, it is important to implement parenting patterns with touch in the form of baby massage as Daily Affective Touch in children's social-emotional development
