Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in regional economic development, but most MSMEs still face challenges in managing business information, promoting products, and providing customer service that is not yet digitally integrated. This study aims to develop and evaluate a web-based MSME information system to support operational efficiency and market access for MSMEs in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The study uses a Research and Development approach with a Waterfall model, including the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. System evaluation is conducted through functional testing using the black-box testing method and user perception evaluation using a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The research respondents were 30 users, consisting of MSMEs and the general public, who are potential users of the system. The research instrument covers five assessment dimensions, namely ease of use, information quality, interface display, service speed, and digital marketing support. The results of the black-box test indicate that all main features of the system function with 100% success. The results of the instrument reliability test show a Cronbach's alpha of 0.892, indicating good reliability. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the overall average user perception score is 4.36 on a scale of 5.00, which falls in the very good category. In detail, the ease of use dimension obtained a score of 4.41, information quality 4.39, interface display 4.31, service speed 4.22, and digital marketing support 4.47. The results of the study indicate that the developed system is feasible to use and can support operational efficiency and expand market access for MSMEs. The contribution of this study is a development and evaluation model for a web-based MSME information system that can serve as a reference for regional MSME digitalisation programs.

Abstract

Vocabulary learning is the main foundation in mastering foreign languages, including Mandarin, which has a high level of complexity in terms of hanzi, pinyin, and lexical meaning. In Indonesia, the need for Mandarin mastery continues to increase along with the development of economic and academic cooperation with China. However, the process of learning Mandarin vocabulary for beginners is still dominated by conventional approaches that are less adaptive to the characteristics of digital-era learners. The contribution of this research lies in the design of a mobile application that integrates hanzi exercises, flashcard games, and a digital dictionary into a structured gamification mechanism based on levels, scores, and time limits for HSK 1–4 vocabulary learning. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a software engineering approach. Evaluation was conducted through direct trials with eight beginner learners using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire instrument. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and instrument reliability testing. The results showed an overall average score of 4.36 with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.87, indicating high reliability. These findings indicate that the application has good levels of usability, engagement, and user acceptance, and demonstrates the potential to support learning motivation and the effectiveness of mobile-based Mandarin vocabulary learning at the beginner level.

Abstract

This community service program aims to form effective student learning groups based on clustering algorithms to improve the quality of learning at SD Negeri Ganrang Jawa II. The main problem faced by teachers is the difficulty in dividing students into learning groups evenly based on academic ability, as well as students’ tendency to choose their own friends when working in groups. These conditions result in unbalanced and less effective learning groups. To address this problem, the K-Means Clustering algorithm is applied to group students based on academic scores, so that each group consists of students with high, medium, and low abilities. The service method includes collecting student academic data, implementing the clustering algorithm, and assisting teachers in applying the learning groups. The results show that the distribution of learning groups becomes more balanced, student interaction increases, and the learning process runs more effectively. Therefore, the application of clustering algorithms can serve as an innovative solution to support collaborative learning strategies in elementary schools.

Abstract

The growing demand for transparent, accurate, and participatory data governance in secondary education has exposed limitations in conventional alumni data management practices in many senior high schools, particularly those that rely on manual records or fragmented digital files. This article reports on the design and implementation of a web-based alumni data management information system developed as a community service-based applied study to support institutional efficiency and alumni engagement. The system development process was informed by a needs assessment involving school administrators and alumni, with data collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and questionnaires. System functionality was evaluated using Black Box Testing to verify compliance with predefined operational requirements. The implementation involved a single senior high school as the institutional partner, with administrative users and alumni as the primary system users. Functional testing results confirmed that all core modules, authentication, alumni data management, information dissemination, and data reporting, operated as intended without critical errors. The system enabled real-time data updating and reduced administrative dependency on physical presence, indicating improved operational efficiency and data accessibility. From a broader perspective, this study contributed a replicable community-oriented model for implementing alumni information systems in secondary education, demonstrating how web-based platforms can strengthen institutional alumni interactions and support digital transformation agendas across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

The development of digital transactions has driven the need for more accurate and easily monitored Electronic Data Capture (EDC) devices to support payment processes in the retail and distribution sectors. However, the manual and unintegrated EDC monitoring mechanism leads to data inconsistencies, delays in operational information, and low device traceability throughout its lifecycle. This research develops a real-time, web-based EDC population monitoring system to improve device management efficiency and operational data quality. The needs analysis was conducted using the PIECES framework, while the development process adopted the Waterfall model, encompassing analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The resulting system supports device registration, distribution monitoring, activation tracking, mutation recording, and device closure. Test results show significant improvements in data accuracy, reporting speed, and monitoring process effectiveness compared to manual methods. These findings contribute to the literature on enterprise digital asset management and demonstrate that a structured development approach can optimize the EDC device monitoring process in large-scale retail networks.

Abstract

Public services in local government procurement units often face issues with queue order and uncertain service times due to reliance on manual processes, which reduces service efficiency and user satisfaction. This condition was observed in the Goods and Services Procurement Work Unit (UKPBJ) of the Pangkep Regency, where service processes remain conventional and lack information system support. This community service activity focused on implementing a web-based queue system integrated with socialization and assistance with system use for the public and service officers. A participatory approach was used, with stages of partner needs analysis, system design and implementation, and impact evaluation, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Quantitative data were collected from 17 respondents, consisting of six UKPBJ employees and eleven community service users, then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The evaluation results showed an increase in perceptions of queue order, clarity of service information, and certainty of service times, with an average score in the very good category (score > 4.3). In addition, service documentation became more systematic and transparent, supporting data-based decision-making at the institutional level. The contribution of this activity lies in strengthening the technology-based community service model that emphasizes real-world application and social assistance, making it replicable in similar public service units across local government contexts, including developing countries.
